Just called by this number: 941.981.4178.
A girl named Jamie asked for my husband; when I told her he wasn't here she asked that I relay the message that Jamie called from what sounded like "College Masking Service" and to return her call.
Interesting though; why "Masking"? This does not make sense to me.
After reviewing my Caller ID, there have been 9 calls from this number in the past 18 days . . . CRAZY -- I'm calling them back right now.
OK -- THE REPORT:
This is the exact message relayed each time the number was called back: "If you would like to stop receiving calls about furthering your education from Courier Development Network; College Matching Service (not 'Masking' as I previously thought); Capital Education; My College Directory; Peak Education; or Central Education press one now."
If you press one is asks for the phone number that you do not want to called by 941.981.4178. I entered my number which could just lead me down a slippery slope meaning these companies can not call my number anymore but there is nothing stopping them from selling it to other companies either. Basically it is a lose / lose situation until the government puts a stop to these intrusive, aggrevating, and crappy telemarketers from continuing with their thriving business.
If telephone owners would not talk with and somehow make money for these callers, they'd be out of a job and we all would being receiving calls from at least people we know -- even if sometimes one may not want those calls either :)

Is the stupid Capital Educations, and more and more educational companies, dont use restricted numbres only use local number for the people answer phone calls.

I have many calls ftoday from phone number 941-981-4178.It annoyed a lot!!! When I answer that have same the same answer ,somybody record and give for us, to annoy.
Please, can phone company stop this action from a person who has fun, but not many people who he call are happy.
If he do not stop, I will put case (I am a criminal lawjer) against him and he will have a lot of problems.I record ALL his calls and have a proof now.
If it is a sick person somebody who live with him have to help him.If he is not sick he will see me in a court.
