That is the funniest thing I've heard all week

this call comes in often and when I answer they hang up.  I am tired of it, as they are distracting when I need to spend time on important tasks.

Just hung up with the idiot "Suzanne" from "Online PC Care". Freaking annoying! Theses people must think I was born yesterday. Out of the blue I get a call about some kind of malicious program that can automatically get downloaded to my computer with out my consent. I asked her what the program name was and she told me that it was so new that it had not been named yet. I knew she seemed a little fishy. I asked her what was in it for her company? She acted as if she was insulted and said that they are working with Windows to assist any consumers that may be using Windows. So I asked her how much money they were looking to make off this so called help, and again she acted insulted. Then I played along :

She litterally asked me to turn my head down and look at my key board.

look to the right and I'll see the 4 square windows key
press this key and the r key
Does any file names appear?
No? O.K. Type in eventwr.............

Of course I did not. Iquickly told her I will call her right back. Naturally when I immediately called the number on my caller ID, I get a message that 947-663-2176 is not a working number. Igoogled the company name and the computer entry she told meto type in and low and behold...........

starting to loop. I think you'll get the picture.

I just received a call from this number. It was a man with an accent saying that my computer had windows. I had fun with him and said that I didn't have a computer but my house does. He said that was nice and then started asking computer questions again. I interrupted him and said I could see through my windows in my house. He laughed at me and I pretended to be very offended by that, I called him as a**hole and hung up. He called back again 30 seconds later and my husband answered the phone and he berated him with words and said remove us from your calling list. He called back a third time and asked my husband why he was abusing him.
Can't believe he called back twice after the phone call with me!

Got the same call today..heavy accent..offering to help speed up my computer..I asked him what he was selling and he assured me that he was not selling anything.

Just received a call from 947-663-2176.  As the screen showed out of area and no call back number I just let it ring.  When the message machine picked up, music was playing.  It played for almost a minute then I heard a voice say "hello"  "hello" twice.  Then they hung up.  The phone rang almost immediately after the first call and this time a number appeared on the screen.  Very annoying!

They just called and asked if I had a windows 32 operating system.
The voice sounded mid eastern and there was a horrible delay.  
He hung up on me, probably because I kept laughing at him.  ;)

I received 2 calls from them today - the first came up  947-663-2176 and I didn't recognize it so I didn't answer, the 2nd came up as unknown- I answered, they asked for a Mrs. Robinson and I told them they had the wrong number because honestly there is no Mrs. Robinson here, he said it didn't matter and it was going out to all Microsoft users.. I then said I had a Mac and again if they were looking for a Mrs. Robinson they had the wrong number- he apologized and hung up. He did have an Indian (not Native American accent) hopefully that was the last call.

Just got a call from these guys as well.  Said they were calling from India and asked if I was running Windows.  I said no.  They asked if I had a pc or a laptop.  I said I didn't have a computer.  They then hung up.  I actually have 2 laptops, a netbook, and two desktop pc's all running Windows but I'm not letting these idiots know that.

And since when does someone actually call you to tell you that there is a problem with your operatng system or that you have a virus???  Geesh.  That's what antivirus software is for and mine is ALWAYS up-to-date.

Unfortunately someone will fall for this and all helll will break loose on their computer.

Just received a phone call from this number. The caller identified himself as "Rex" with a strong East Indian Accent. He said he was calling to offer computer support and that "you are running Microsoft Windows right?" I told him I wasn't interested and hung up.

We keep getting this call throughout the day when we are at work. they phoned last night and said they were from windows and a virus is corrupting our files on our computer. How do they know that? The guy called Derek, had a strong USA accent and got quite aggressive towards my husband when he told Derek there was not a problem.

Re:  947-663-2176.  These calls originate in India.  DO NOT ANSWER.

Good idea, I just signed up for twitter just to post about this guy.  People have no shame!

Got a call from this number. Guy had an Indian accent and asked for me using my maiden name which I haven't used in over 12 years. I hung up on him when he told he he important information about my computer.

We keep getting calls from this number and have no idea who it is!

I received a call, did not answer.  The caller had a accent and asked for me by name.  That's scary.

t good is the do not call list if jerks like these guys still call?  The least they could do is learn to speeak uderstandable English

Got a phone call about 4:30 pm- could not understand the person - some kind of accent.  Asked him to give me phone number - he gave me 1-888-408-4117and wanted me to turn my computer on so he could check.  I told him No and hung up on him.  He called me again from 947-663-2176 .  I told him No again and hung up.

An Indian/Paki sounding woman told me my computer was running slow & to turn it on & she would check it for viruses.  I told her no, you won't.  It needs to be reported.  They will take advantage of some poor soul.

He is calling all windows users about this problem they might have downloaded from the internet without knowing it. He did have a very strong Camel accent.

I told them my "laptop" wouldn't erase.  He asked alot of questions about my "laptop".  I told him it was red, has two white knobs and usually you erase it by shaking it upsidedown.  He worked diligently by phone to help reboot or power cycle my "laptop".  When he couldn't talk me through finding the power switch or keyboard, he asked me what brand of laptop it is.  I told him it is an Etch-A-Sketch.  He said he had never heard of the Etch-A-Sketch brand of laptop.  He thought maybe it was a specialized graphics tablet of some kind.  

I can't wait till they call back again.  Too much fun.

Called and said I had a problem with my computer,which I do not

Caller ID reads as Name Unavailable. I answered, but no one on the line. I, too, have gotten the 'Windows running slow...' phone calls, Indian? accent & all. I wish the nut-wipe(s) would stop calling. I have better things to do with my time and don't want to strain my brain trying to play with the con artist(s).

These guys are frauds.  If you are annoyed by them, use the *57 Phone Trace feature.  After several calls, you can report it to the police and request charges be filed.  They're not local to most people, but if enough people complain... wham!!  They'll get their just desserts.

Called twice this afternoon to "help" me with my operating system...said his name is "Matt" ( very Indian accent) ha.ha.
He said he is calling in regard to my computer problems....
( I don't have any!)

He told me that my computer was running slowly.  How did he know?

They called and asked if i was in front of computer. This was the second call in a few weeks so I told him to f-off.  He wasn't sure he understand so I said it more clearly and more slowly, then hung up. The little turd actually called back and asked me why I was abusing him and this that was a professional call. I told him to keep talking because I was tracing the call. Next time I will ask him to strap a bomb to himself and take a trip to paradise.

Keep gett ing calls from this number.  After I say "hello" once there is complete silence.  I know better than to say it twice.  
I just hang up.  But they're persistant!!
