I got this number registered as a missed call on my cell phone tonight.  No one but my family or friends have my phone number.  I have never given out my cell number to companies, contests, over the internet, anything, ect.  Pretty strange.  Hope it won't be an annoyance!

Missed this call on my cell last night (9pm) just got the phone and haven't given the number out to anyone but family and a handful of friends.

This number called me on my Fido, I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the area code. I'm in BC.

I just got one 10 mins ago, but I didn't pick up. I'm from Ontario

They just called my work cell. I did not answer.  I live in Ontario.

They just called my cell #.  I did not answer it.  Lately I have been receiving calls from American scammers.

yup got a call as well as all these people on this blog...  Luckily i didn't answer it while i was at work.  But it did leave a voicemail full of dead air, which leads me to believe that the automated message is in a auto-dialer for this company.  It is strange to think of how they got my personal cell phone as I didn't sign up for the Nat'l DNC list and i don't provide my cell phone number to companies.  Strange... and yes, very annoying.

I just received a call from this number.  I called it back, and it started with music, and then some lady with a strong american accent answered saying it was a resort in Mexico.  I asked her why they'd called me, but she said she didn't know.  I asked her to call me back to explain it to me, and she said she couldn't do that.  the area code is in Orange county, but somehow was transfered to mexico?????

I just got a call from this number as well...been warned by friends that there's companies out there calling your cell phone and they charge you when you pick up...so i didn't pick it up either...

Just got one on my Fido cell. Waterloo, ON. Hang up immediately. Had the same call, but with 'Private' caller ID couple of weeks ago. From what I can see here, it's escalating (6 reports in week).

Same as the rest. I recieved a call from this number no more then 2 min ago.  hung up as soon as they asked me to press #1.  Im in Newfoundland

Got a call from this number 949-205-4680. It is a scam. the same thins happened to me 2 years ago. Don't give credit card under no circumstances. Once they secure the money you never hear from then again

Alberta Canada, just got a call, ive had this cell # for 4 years, this is the first time ive had telemarketers call, jerks...

I got a call from this number on my telus cell phone, I picked up and nobody said anything and then I heard them hang up... So I called back and it was some telemarketing thing... they better not call again!

Just got a call from this number also.  Just recently transferred my old number from Telus to Rogers. Hmmm --- it's quite annoying actually!!

Just received a call from this number 15 mins ago on my Roger's cell phone.  Same automated message as indicated by other posters..."Congratulations, please press 1".  I immediately hung up.  Beware, it's very likely a scam.  Wonder if Roger's has been selling their phone lists...

Just got a call on my personal cell and like others, hung up as soon as I heard the male recorded voice say "Congratulations....". Ten seconds after I hung up my personal cell, my work-provided cell got the exact same call!!! WTF!!! Obviously, they have a cell list and are going through it alphabetically.... like I said.....WTF!!!

I got a call but was @ work so couldn't answer, it was on my cell phone! I don't give my cell number out so I don't know where they could have gotten it from?? Didn't bother calling them back.

I just got a call from this same number less than a minute ago.  I'm in the 905, just outside of Toronto, and my cell is a 647 number. Since I did not recognize the number (I don't know anyone from the OC) I let it ring through.  (Very few people have my cell number, and all of them are in this province.)  No message left, and as I usually do with unknown numbers to my cell phone, I Googled it -- and whaddya know.  It led me here, and it's obviously a 900 scam.

This is the first such call I've gotten on my cell (other than a "credit councelling" spam that bugged me three times a couple of years ago), and while I did sign up for the national DNC, I'm not ready to chalk it up to that yet -- however, I would expect telemarketers are going to hit everyone as hard as possible before they are expected to comply.  I don't think it matters if you signed up; just the fact that you can now is enough to get them swarming.

I too received this call on my Ontario cell phone.  I hung up half way through the word "Congratulations!"

A quick reverse look-up shows the number's a land line registered in Newport Beach, CA through a provider called 01 Communications.

I'm very annoyed that I'm being phone spammed even more now that I've registered my cell number on the National Do Not Call Registry.

Hi, If you notice, it is a 900 number, I would think that if you follow up by pushing 1, you will end up with a charge on you phone account.
