66% of Americans use Facebook. Why is anyone surprised it is the new home of scammers? Due diligence folks.

She sent me a friend request on FB as Lisa Oliven, very sexy profile pic, and was friends with 5 of my male friends who I guess got duped too. Same message, "I like your pics, what music do you like, have to log off, hit me up if you want to talk," same number.

This number 9492698756 has sent me a friend request on a  facebook. She is the friend of my friend kevlin. So i added her. She's asked me that did i like piercings. I m in confuse. Who is she. She had also written to me that she liked my photos. What's the matter. And who is she. Its hanging me.

Same scenario but the name Jessica Garon. Clearly a spambot.

Got the same thing. Facebook friend request with the same messages.

Nicole aulder on Facebook said she liked my picture, what music I like and said she had to log off and gave me the number 9492698756. Weird scam maybe?

The same thing just happened to me, she said she liked my photo. The only problem is, i dont have any photos.

i got added by lisa follick. i got asked what i do for fun. she gave me this number and said for me to ring some time

It's not likely that you'd be arrested unless you broke laws in the text, but it is definitely a massive waste of time to text it.

i got a message from ashley stram she asked what i like in a girl then she said she had to go and gave this number 9492698756 to text her back and this number could be a fake number and then you could be arrested for something you didnt do just by texting this number

Lisa Parrinello did exact same to me fb request 5 friends asked me what my hobby is and what music i like then said have to get off text me at 949-269-8756 HEll No bi*** unfriended deleted all info from her/him whatever the hell they are.

Girl named Jessica Parisien...same number asked for me to text her but then she had to go....good....go away!!!

The account that is sending these messages is a fake account set up to send these messages in hopes that you will respond to them via text message. If you do, you will be sent a link to a pornographic site, according to a poster here who did text the number.

If you get a message with this number:

1) Unfriend the person sending the message.
2) Report the account to Facebook as either fake, spam, or scam.

In order to protect your information, as there is potential for identity theft as well:

1) Go to your privacy settings at the top of the page in the left hand corner.
2) Hide the following:
Your phone number
Your email address
Your date of birth (you can hide only year if you'd prefer)
3) Hide your friend list.

In the case of phone number, email, and DOB, there is no real reason this needs to be on Facebook. Anybody close enough to call or email you probably already has this information stored in their phone or email contact list. They probably know your birthday as well.

As for your friend list, I believe this is how this number is finding new contacts. Hiding your friends list will prevent the people you know from falling victim.

Same for me. "Nicole Aubdulli" said she liked my picture so she added me. She also sent me a message asking me to text her some time. Looks like a scam to me. What would a 24 year old grl want from a 49 year old man?  My money!  I'm married with 3 kids...... SCam is on her

"Lisa Douda" FAKE facebook account, no friends, hottie, adds me, same message, "added you, U R cute, something, txt me"     SCAM   reported "her" to FB, block.
