I received a text message from this number asking me if I wanted to refinance.  I pay for all text messages, so not even my friends text me because I can't afford the extras. This text was from Green Collar Operations.

This is making me very angry.

Saw charge on my cell phone bill for an incoming text message from this number.

I also called the number you listed for Green Collar Operations.  I spoke to Adam Eastberg, a sales rep.  He said they buy our phone numbers from a marketing company and then send advertisement texts.

I told him that my number has been on the Do Not Call Registry for years and that I want to be reimbursed for the text messages that they sent me.  He seemed a little caught off guard but said that they could possibly reimburse me by issuing me a check.  He agreed that since I ask not to be contacted by telemarketers, then I shouldn't have to pay for the texts.  He took my information and said a manager would call back to work this out.  He said no one had ever asked for a reimbursement before!

I'm not sure if manager will call back yet or not.  But if they don't call back, I may just call and annoy them again.  And although the cost of the texts is minimal, if everyone asks to be reimbursed, then maybe they would stop calling numbers on the Do Not Call registry.  I also reported them on the Do Not Call website's complaint page.

Please, everyone, if you get unwanted texts from this number, call 512-986-7045 and ask to be reimbursed!  If everyone does it, then this company will learn its lesson.

Got the same $10K credit card debt text message, despite being on all do not call lists that I can find.

Same text from same number.  Looking into blocking with Verizon Wireless. Tried texting "stop cancel quite unsubscribe" as D suggested on 10/8.  My cell is also on the Do Not Call list.

I received the same text from this number. I reverse looked up the number and it shows as a Laguna Beach and Vacaville, CA resident/company. Apparently there's 5 other lines.

Is this a new way of telemarketing?

Called Verizon Wireless, they advised that I txt back "stop quite cancel unsubscribe" they also added a block to my phone for "premium txt messaging" which they claim will prevent these in the future.

I just got the EXACT same text from 1 949 280 6389

Called back and was told to call 512-382-1099 to get number off list. I called gave em my cell # and they said they would remove it.

I got the same lowerpayment.net text from 949-280-6389.  I was so mad I texted back "FU".  I know, I know - they are probably Phishing but I couldn't help myself.

Same number, differnt solicitation text--now they send

"lowerpaymnt.net Is your mortgage payment too expensive? Our Loan Modification programs can lower your payments immediately.  May we please give you a call?"

Perhaps they are ID Phishing.  I, too, pay for my texts...AND I put my cellphone on the "do not call" list...AND cell phones are supposed to be automatically "do not call," last I heard--sounds like we need to add "do not text" to the law.  Must be a loophole.

I just got off the phone with Andrew from Green Collar Operations. I told him about my unwanted text message and even this complaint site. I also let him know I'm not even in their target area.

He claimed they didn't authorize this campaign and are trying to stop it. But then he said they would take my number off the list. If they didn't authorize it and aren't sure who is doing it, then how could he take my name off the list? Something doesn't smell right.

Oh, and he didn't offer to reimburse me my $1.25.

I just got the same text message. I PAY for text messages on my phone. I want to know how these clowns plan to reimburse me. Has anyone called this number? Is it possible to get a live person by calling?
