Here's some new information I gathered from reading a whole bunch of boring stuff over at the Do Not Call and FTC websites.
When you file a complaint with donotcall.gov, they (the Federal Trade Commission) store the information away in their computer database. They don't act on the complaint or resolve issues themselves. The database can be accessed by about 1,000 law enforcement agencies.
By reading between the lines, I figured out that no one will bother investigating these calls until the complaints pile up so high that they can't ignore them.
That's one reason these kind of scam companies use multiple fake phone numbers to call from.. it makes it harder for the authorities to find them because the complaints are all filed under a bunch of different numbers.
One good reason to keep reporting them every single time they call is that they can be fined $16,000 per call! Please KEEP REPORTING THEM to donotcall.gov.

These scammers call using multiple phone numbers. I've received calls from 503-902-8297, located in Oregon, 803-307-7391, located in South Carolina, and 949-378-9167, located in California. I've seen other posts from people who've received calls from them under even more numbers.
I keep reporting them to the do not call site, but I never see any improvement. They have countless pages of complaints on this site and other websites like this one. They are still calling people, months after the person has filed repeated complaints.
Another thing that seems weird is that they don't really care if you are interested in their "services" or not. They just want you to press 1 to connect with them. Once the connection is made, they are usually the ones to hang up, sometimes before the person they've called can discuss the offer.
If they are auto-generating new numbers that don't really exist, how can they be stopped? I doubt the gov't is going to really care enough to investigate scammers that can't be traced easily by their phone numbers.

Got a call from this number at 2:16pm cst. I have been a Chase account holder in the past and they lost my info. I find it interesting that i get a call so close to leaving their identy theft program. Thank goodness BOA offers the same services for people. Not to mention, I am on the do not call list for my cell phone. If it persist, like you all have made reference to, I will be reporting to Better Business and having my lawyer follow up. Btw going to call Chase in the morning.

I got a call to my cell even though I am registered with donotcal.gov. I filed a complaint on that site. If you are registered there file a complaint. It is the only way to stop these people.

Just got the call. In Washington State these folks can be sued for $500 a phone call plus costs. Just download and complete court papers and file with court. This is my third call from this corp and have lodged complaint with Attorney General and Do-Not-Call list.

My number is registered with the donotcall.gov site. I just received a recorded message that said if I was interested in lowering my credit card rate, to "press one". I have just recently obtained an car loan through Chase bank, and thought this might be an offer for a credit card related to that loan. I was interested and wanted to see if they were offering lower rate cards, somehow connected to my recent car loan app.
Mike answered and asked, "Did you press one?" I said that I did, but since I do not have a credit card, I asked if he could please explain their service to me. He immediately hung up. Also, this was NOT Chase bank and apparently has nothing to do with them. The "offer" was just a coincidence, being so close to my app for the car loan.
I called back only to get a recorded message stating that John's mailbox is full and I should try again later. I never talked to John, only Mike. Reported them to DoNotCall.gov.

I just got a call from 949-378-9167. I am on no call list!!! It calls me every week!
This is a call says it is from cardholder services, there is not a problem with your account". They did not identify a credit card provider and I when I asked and when I said to be taken off their list they hang up on me. Could be scam fishing for credit information. Don't give them any information! The computer voice said that my eligibility for credit card interest rate was ending. It is a hoax. I am on the do not call list, but they keep calling me anyway. Called back and it says "The voice mailbox for ....John.... is full. Hopefully someone can stop this annoying caller.
