This number has called me 9 time today alone.  It comes up as a call from California.  I have blocked this from my phone but they keep on calling.

Person called twice and we said "no thank you" two times. And yet they called back 30 minutes later! Something about a health survey.

Plz help my life might be in jepordy!! I GOT A REALLY WEIRD CALL FROM CALIFORNIA.....It said that i now won a trip to california.
I yelled **** you into the phone and hanged up.

Annoying calls keep coming, with hang-ups, way up here in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

i keep getting calls   about 15-20  from four in afterno;on till 8 in eveining.  They call,  and then click off. No talking. It is getting annoying and i want it to stop. going t call phone company and report it, also and see if i can get it blocked and for whomever to check into this company !!!!!!!! tell them to stop cause i wont stop reporting them if they do.

I have been receiving numerous calls from Irvine CA - 949-930-2858.  The phone rings, the answering machine answers and then whoever the caller is, hangs up.  I have absolutely no idea who this company is or what they are calling about but will be reporting them.  I want their calls to stop!  I pay for my telephone service, not them, and believe that "spamming", "phising" or whatever else they are doing is illegal.

I am house-sitting for my parents and answered the phone. Got a human and she asked for (and completely MANGLED) my father's name. I told her they were unavailable and would not be for "several weeks." She appologised and hung up. Then, not 5 minutes later, the same idiots, different telemarketer, called again. I told them AGAIN that the folks were unavailable and PLEASE STOP CALLING. She appologised and I hung up. That was ten minutes ago. Let's see if they try again...

Morons got around my call blocks by forging their CID by not putting the 1 in front of the number.

I have Viatalk, and they have the ability to block by wildcards (ie I set a block for 949 AND 19 to block them next time from getting through). I even have it set to play a "this number is disconnected msg". Ha, you say you cannot accept calls at this number? TWO CAN PLAY AT THAT GAME!

have gotton several calls from this Number, when they actually stay on the phone long enough, they attempt to pitch whole house water filter, or some other scam

Finally after many weeks of this number showing up on my caller Id, with no one answering when I picked up, or them saying goodbye, I finally talked to a human today that said they were a New company in Florida wanting my opinion on some medical products and that I had won a $3000 gift card for groceries. It had to be delivered and when I asked them if they were going to just deliver and leave she evaded the question until about the 5th time when she said I would need to take a "short" survey on their asthma and allergy products and that there was no sales pitch. I asked why a new company in Florida was calling from California and the answer was they were having some technical problems and were using a internet voice over! HUH?! I promptly told her I wasn't interested and she hung up on me. Have you ever heard of the term "phishing"? I'd stay away from this outfit!

this number has call 20 times in last 2 days and doesn't say anything. phone company says can't block long distant number

by Bell Canada even though I have Call Screening as it's another Network in

Same as many stories above! Numerous calls everyday, no one on the line. No message is left if voice mail answers the call. This number has called at least four times today.

I also receive several phone calls from 949-930-2858 and when I answer nobody talks. I tried to call back and an answer machine responds "this number can not receive phone calls"???

Same here. Phone constantly ringing. Answering machine would pick up and they would hang up. Now Theyhave adjusted the rings and hang up before machine answers. Must be a live person somewhere. Must be a way to report this to authorities. On the same level as SPAM. from zip 32810- orlando, fl

Have been getting calls from this number ALL WKND long.  Nite and Day. VERY DISGUSTED.  I have registered on the DO NOT CALL LIST and for the past few weeks, these types of calls have been getting through like crazy.  I DO NOT OWE any $$ on a credit card - what is going on???????

i have gotten this call over 22 times in the past 5 horus with children laughing on the other end and once a man asking who i was. i want this stuff to end now!

This number keeps appearing on my phone at least once a day for the last week.  I assumed that it was a telemarketer because A) they NEVER leave a message and B) you CANNOT call them back...and it looks like I was right.  I'll be blocking this number through my telephone company shortly.

I have submitted an FCC complaint. http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm  go here and get the FCC involved. That will shut these suckers down. Go on, guys! Nail 'em!

Many, many calls a day for weeks! We decided to let the answering machine take all calls and return calls as we choose. We still get all the calls--there's only silence. So we don't talk to them, but it's still very annoying. Isn't there an agency/company who can do something about this?

Also getting the same calls regardless of what I say.  I haven't seen anyone come up with a solution yet.  Maybe I'll get a whistle and as soon as I know a person is on the line I will blow as loud as I can.  I hope I bust someone's ear drum!

Phone rang and I picked it up saying Hello twice. There was no response to my hello. After about 6 to 10 seconds, a computerized voice came on and said "good by." This has happened three times today. On the forth call with the number 949-930-2858 showing on the caller ID, I just did not answer the phone. Of course, there was no message left.

Got this call - telemarketing. What I do is to block this number from my phone. I have a Panasonic cordless with "babies" and it allows you to input (or select from your caller id) #s to block. What a great thing! Of course, tomorrow the telemarketers will use a different number...

rec a call from this number suggesting a short 30 sec survey. A women with an Asian sounding acent refering to me as Mister (First Name)  ..."Do you smoke?", "Do you have asthma?", "Do you have pets?" ... I hung up.
