Received a text from this number about tax rebates.

Same as others.  Text message about "Do you owe more than $10,000 to the IRS..."
Called ATT and they were willing to reverse charges.  Can't do anything about blocking text messages from specific numbers (Why should they?  They get paid for each of those text messages).  Did advise to text "stop" back to the offending number, but hesitant to because that could increase the messages from them.  Same exact text message from 949 439-2483.

Wanted to know if anyone else noticed the plus sign in front of the number, I think it means that they are an AT&T customer also
I called AT&T and theya re just clueless, tried to brush me off on the Fed do not call list - done that back in 2005, on holod still

This CELLULAR number is issued by AT&T WIRELESS.
General location: NEWPORTBCH/ANAHEIM, CA area.

just got 2 text meessages, reported this to my cellphone company.. fake #, fake everything, big scam

Same text message as others.  Submitted complaint to feds as this phone is on do not call list.  Also called Verizon and asked for a refund of the 20 cents.  It is not the money but if enough folks do this they should be able to track down and sue the offender.

I tried calling the number but it is not a valid number, or so the recording says.
