they call every couple months or so 2-3 times a day for about 5 days.  They don't say a word.  When I call back a fax picks up.

i stumbled on this blog site accidentally to answer yor qestions to all no they cant tap into your line your actullay having phone issues at your residence they call from an automated data base, when you pickup and no won is their the compter has moved the representive to another call.i dont like defending them iam just explaining how it works and yes they are a legit charity thats 501(c)3   tax deductable   but these are modern days and this is how they raise money   no their is no scandal with your phone  i would look into ypur phone service     like i said iam not defending them just giving everybody the answer    this mess is for all they are very annoying no doubt   when ever you donate to a charity unscrupuless  ORGANISATIONS HAVE YOUR INFO TO CALL and the national do not call list dosent apply to them because their nonprofit ORG   wow i just stumbled accross this blog site   but i now how they work their a good ORG but methods are bad because their trying to reach out to so many people they have become disruptive to peoples lives    THIS IS TO ANSWER EVEYONES QESTIONS

they are calling you from an atomated system and by the time you answer the computer has moved on to another number that picked up. i know its not good  but the charity is ok   they are just annoying because of the system being used

(951) 248-9221 calls received several times a week. My telephone began giving me problwms since these calls have been coming in. It sounds like someonne is on my line when I am talking to someone. My telephone rings and clicks off as if someone has answered it. When I call my home number from another phone it appears that I am connected on the call but there is just dead air. There have been 3 way calls and other calls i.e. *69 calls being charged to my phone that I have not used. Is it possible these people can tap into our phones to utilize them...it is absolutely a possibility...technology is in place to be able to do that.
I tried calling 951)248-9221 back and received fax sounds as well.  No company name shows up on caller ID. O.k. we are making complaints...but how can this be investigated and stopped? Making reports and receiving no answers does not solve the problem.

When I answered there was a 'beep' then nothing.  Were they recording me?  Don't know.

Same crap... lots of voices in the background... I caught something like: "...do you have extra cups?" They used my last name, which is why I looked up the number and came across all these posts. Kids having fun? Let's hope they grow up soon!

Those pieces of crap just called! ARGH, I HATE UNKNOWN CALLERS, how the hell do they get my number?!?! When I picked up and said hello, it sounded like someone pushed a record button! Those sons of b*@@!!@&

Just called; but no one on the other side

This is very creepy... Every night I can receive a call from this number. When I call back, FAX Tone! Stupid Idiot should stop calling every houses numbers.... It is just a very disapointing fact about POLICE YOUTH or CHARITY GROUP....

This same number left me a message, if you can call it that.  You can hear lots of people in the background like its a call center talking about a "program" and then a man just breathes and hangs up.  Its not a sigh, its not normal breathing ... it was kinda creepy and that's why I searched for it online.

CALLS every day...hang up call....sounds like fax machine when I called the number. Calls began in June.

This person just called my house when I picked up it made a high pitch sound and hung up it did say CA Police Youth on caller ID .951 248-9221

This is exactly the same thing that is happeing with my mother.

Called June 9 10:11 am to my cell phone. Caller ID showed "No Name"
It sounded like a pitch for some fake charity.

My parents are elderly and being annoyed with call from 951-248-9221 for last month. The caller ID shows CA Police Youth. When they pick the phone, they actually don't talk and hang!

When I tried to call the number, it is a fax number.

Where should I report this and how can I stop them calling?
