They keep calling and hanging up

A guy with a very heavy accent calls 2-3 times a week and each time wants my S.S. #. I may be blond BUT I'm not stupid. If they know my name and address why would I give them my S.S.#? I have blocked their number and they just call from another  #. How do I stop this??

These idiots keep calling me at work, when I answer they say nothing. I am assuming they think they are calling my personal number when it's my work number. All calls made to my work number are professional. I am assumoing that they hear that and hust hang up the phone. When ever I call them back all I get is a busy signal. Why don't they get a real job like the rest of us ? MF'ers !!!

Do not fall for this.  They buy out of statue of limitations debt for pennies on the dollar.  Any money they collect is pure profit.  It is against the law for them to say they are going to arrest you, that they are a law firm or work for a government agency.  Please report them to the FTC.  File a report with them.  Also there is a new government agency called The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.  You can file a report with them.  These are not legit companies that call you.  You can either ignore the calls or tell them that you are recording their calls and they have been reported to the above.  A legit agency would give you their name, address and phone number and would have to comply with a request for verification of debt. Also any debt that is past statue of limitations cannot be sued.  Check you state limitations.  Know your rights. These are scam debt collectors. I had a friend receive one of these calls stating that they were coming to arrest her.  She told them great, let me pack and tell me what time.  Three square meals a day and a free roof over my head, can't wait.  Needless to say they did not call back.

Got a call from this number just after 7:30 am tried to call it back about an hour later and I get a Verizon recording saying the number has been changed or is out of service. How do you get a call from a disconnected number??

These people just called me and stayed Quit and When I called back they just stayed on the phone with me Creepers.. I Wish they stop Calling

I get calls from this number often and there is never anyone that  responds when i say  hello. I called it back and I get a disconnect  notice. so how can this number call me?

My call came from 951-389-0292. Caller stated his name was Rich Wilson, with a foreign accent. Why someone that is Federally employed was calling me on the 4th of July cracked me up. I was supposed to call Attorney Ronny Cooper, who on a holiday, was supposedly waiting for my call. I called the day before just to see what was up. the person that answered my call asked me 4 my phone no. I asked why, and they hung up. i continued to call back and they would pick-up the phone and hang up right away. I could tell that the person who called me was reading from a script because they said the same thing over and over. I asked if it was so important why when they got my answering machine did they not leave a message. If this was so illegal what happened why have I not received notification in the mail. I also asked if the lawyer was waiting for my call why hasn't he called me. "Officer Rich Wilson, paralegal" said because Ronny Wilson is very busy, I said if he's busy how is he waiting for my call?? He then said he was going to contact my local sheriff and send them to my work and home, that I will see then. I told him to go ahead, and I will see him in court. This is a scam. No lawyer or Federal employee is going to be working on the 4th of July.

I received a phone call from a James Watson of Federal Legislation of Customer Affairs and Business Regulations. He told me that there were criminal charges against me and the attorney's name was John Anderson, when I called the number he gave me back the first time it went to a voicemail for a woman named karen, the second time I called the number had been disconnected or was no longer in service. They had the last four of my social. Guard yourselves

They just called me from (818)806-3354 stating the same thing !

Scam, they get your info from the cash advance company then try to scare you. Ask questions any legal office will give you a name, number,case number. They ask you to pay by pre paid card red flag. Don't be worried get educated on scams.

Know that the pay day loan company was not hacked or lost info they sold the info to these companies in India. They freely took American citizens info and sold it to these people for more protfit so the only way not to get the cAlls is to not apply for payday loans.

I will call you from India scam you! Try to take all your money, so don't pay me anything this is the number I call from but my coworkers call from the same area code but are doing same thing. We clam to be a law office and lawyers stating that we are going to go to your job and and serve papers to garnish your pay but its all a lie. We are in india  and cant touch you. But suggest you get identity theft put on your name because I have all your info thanks to the payday loan people.

This is totally ridiculous and needs to stop. What and Who gives them the right to harrass and use offensive scare tatics to threaten innocent people.  My wife and I share the stories of what we have read here and we can relate to each scenario because the same langauage, verbiage and unprofessionalism was directed towards us.  Sad to say we almost fell for this scam.  We do have payday loans, however that are in good standings.  But we do not and did not have a loan from an InstaCash. When we spoke with David Cooper, he could not provide us with any information relating to this matter.  Each time we tried to speak senisble and get more information, he would then talk over us and hang up the phone.  Finally I called back and told David, that I would have my attorney to contact him, he stated he can not talk to my attorey and he hung up again!!!!  
Does Anyone have the address to this so called business so I can speak to Mr. David Cooper, Mr. Roy King or Mrs. Robin Ross in person.  Would like to see what they would do or say then.

I just got a call from a man named morfin Smith from the federal legislation of customer affairs and business regulations said I was being sued his number was 951 489 0225 he said he didn't have my case information but I needed to call David Cooper at 951 489 0226 after reading all of ur guys s*** I now its a scam I haven't done s*** I aplieed for a loan they have my info they have withdrawn from my account what hey don't realize is my bank is all over it f****ng retards they were Indian they need to get a life and stop calling me

Funniest thing! I received the same call from a 951-582-4836, from a similar woman with an Indian accent. She tried to transfer me to a Leo Fernandez, the head attorney for her firm, to discuss the 3 criminal allegations against me. But no answer, she asked me to call him back.

So, I felt it was fishy, googled it, and my instincts were correct! I called the number but it was like I was trying to access my own voicemail. So I tried the obvious code of 1-2-3-4 and had full access to their voicemail, I proceeded to erase all voicemails and leave a new message saying it was a scam and to disregard it. Ha ha ha ha

Hope you all have such luck, I guess this is the price we pay for being involved in payday loans at one time or another?

And they did confirm they were calling from California.

Don;t know who or what this is i have never heard of having a lawsuit against your name and s.s. #. i have been scammed before and scared by the scammers. If you have any advice on how to deal or get rid of these scammers please let me knw. she((jennifer ?) told me not to disreguard her message.

I recieved a call from this number and the message said the same thing as yours midnight09.  This has gotten to be some sort of scam as my mother is a Paralegal for a Collections Attorney and said that no real law office would have said all of that on their message because all of that information that they left on the message could result in a lawsuit on them had it been legit.  They also said on my message that they are a lawfirm but no name??  This is fake because I know for a fact that there is no real criminal actions against my name and social.  What I would like to know is how this company got my social and name??

i was just recently scammed about 3 months ago and before that they called my work every 6 month finally i told them i talked to a lawyer(not) and he/she said for them to send me a letter stating what i owe, otherwise this is a scamm and they need to stop calling. they have been calling my cell phone. i saved the message and i will tell my sgt. of the police force what is going on to see what he says.

this morning i received a call from this number, and the guy threaten that he would put a warrent out for my arrest if i did not comply to what hes say. problem is i barely understood what he was saying cause he sound like hes from a third world country

Wow! I recieved this same call and they knew all my information!!! I said if there is a problem then mail me something because I am not verifying anything!!! I am glad to hear others were getting this call! Not that it was a good call but I was like crimal what when how??? OMG How horrible is this they have all of our information!!! I do not know what to do about this! The guy hung up on me when I told him I was not verifying anything until you tell me what this was about!

This phone number is calling my job and I can't have any phone calls @ my job. The message that was left for me was from this phone number 951- 252-2632 the man stated he was from a law firm called MORGAN@ ASSOCIATES LAW FIRM STATING THAT HE REPRESENTING PAY DAY CASH. I DID APPLY ON LINE AND THEY CALLED TO CONFIRM THAT I WANTED THE LOAN. BUT I DECIDED TO DECLINE AND I TOLD  THE MAN WHO WAS FOREIGN  THAT I DID NOT WANT THE LOAN. AFTER THAT THEY WERE CALLING MY PHONE 12 TIMES A DAY FOR 2 WEEKS STRAIGHT UNTIL I CALLED THE BBB, AND THE ATTORNEY GENERAL. BUT THEY WON'T STOP CALLING MY JOB I COULD LOSE MY JOB IF THEY CONTINUE TO CALL PLEASE HELP... I'VE EXHAUSTED ALL MY OPTIONS.

These people have been calling my cell number constantly and they have called my job as well.  When they called my job they stated that I was selling my jobs personal information and I was wanted by the Federal Legislation.  This is getting out of hand and I need to find out how to stop them

Same MO as everyone else's calls- 3 criminal allegations against me, blah, blah, blah.  I have a very good attorney so I will report everything to him.  Hope it stops!
