These a***oles call me at least five times a day, from different numbers/unknown numbers/and blocked numbers. Sometimes they hang up before saying anything.

OK Automated or not, I DO NO want to get calls from College Adviser. I ONCE, THREE YEARS AGO, inquired, for a very specific reason, about on-line courses. Things must be getting desperate at your Indian call center because I'm getting 2 or 3 calls A DAY telling me that I asked for information. I've completed my degree at a conventional university and do not EVER want to take on-line classes. EVER! Get that? I've asked repeatedly to be taken off the call list and been told that I would be. There for a while, it worked. Now, because nobody is taking these courses, and the people behind College Adviser are seeing a serious drop in revenue, they're dusting off ancient lists hoping that they missed someone.
Well bucko, I might have given you my number back then but you're going to stop using it to harass me. I've told every one of the people who've called that I'm not interested in what you have to offer and to leave me alone. I do get to speak to large groups of people and I tell them NOT to inquire about on-line degress simply because they will get harassed. I hope I'm part of the reason you've seen the drop in revenue.

well I'm glad i looked this up cuz i don't answer calls from numbers i do not recognize and the above people are right about them leaving a message ..i would of appreciated it as well and i think it would have a more effective outcome..less mad people....just saying

Number keeps calling cell phone and leaves no message.....Try calling it back and all it does is ring!!!!!!!! Stop calling

Called me and did not leave a message.  I called back the number and there was no answer.  I'm going to block.  I believe its a crank caller.

Called me twice on different days- left no message.

Their up to their shananigans again.  I contacted the US Attorney's Office and the Connecticut Attorney General's Office.  Apparently this has been an on-going problem with them (as you can see from above).  If your number is on the national "do not call" list, I was told it's a violation of civil and criminal law for them to continue to call.  The company can be subject to extensive civil penalties for violating the national "do not call" list.

Man o mAn. I get calls like i owe money or something, they call from random numbers, they say thir only callin cuz i requested info. Lol, well yea i did but lil do they know i requested info about a yr ago, and now im in skoo been in skoo, so now it seems i get the calls but they jus hang up when i answer,....childish... As for college advisor guy, ur one person please dnt speak as if u represent all school telemarketers(cuz thats what they are) cuz u dnt know their individal actions. End this witSTOP CALLING!

It is from a website I went to in effort to find a specific college not offer in my state. When I answered I informed her of my enrollment at another college and the call ended quickly. These people have to work like we do!

I just read back through these messages, and I know this message was from a year ago, but I would like to point out to this advisor that they have it wrong.  I NEVER ASKED for information or indicated that I wanted more information!  I already have a school that I am enrolled in.  I simply signed up on Scholarships.com to look for scholarships - and apparently THEY SOLD MY INFORMATION to all types of colleges located everywhere in the United States from San Diego to somewhere in Connecticut.  So, just because you're calling people on a list that is computer generated doesn't mean that they ASKED FOR THE INFORMATION. You're not helping people or doing them a favor.  You are a telemarketer that harasses people.  You do realize that with the Internet, people can do their own research and find out all the information they could possibly want?  Additionally, if by some chance they can't find the answer they are looking for, they can then call or send an email to obtain the information they need?  You are redundant.  But, hey - at least you have a paycheck!

I'm sick of these calls, too.  I realize that a lot of people (er...excuse me, College Advisors!) are doing this because they can't get another job in this economy, but harassing people on their phones is NOT AN HONORABLE WAY TO EARN A LIVING.  I'm sick of receiving calls all hours of the day and every day of the week.  I have several different numbers calling me and it has become ridiculous.  I had to turn off my text messaging because I was receiving so many advertisements that it was interfering with everything else!  Instead of leaving a nice message on your phone with a contact number to call back if you REALLY WANT TO TALK TO THEM, they just hang up and keep calling...several times a day!

Anyway, I finally managed to answer the phone a few minutes ago and I told them that I was already enrolled in another school that starts at the end of August (I am).  Before I had a chance to finish my sentence I was rudely interrupted as she said she'd remove me from the system and then I was hung up on.  I can only hope she actually DID remove me and at least the calls from this number will end.  

By the way, these calls all started when I signed up for Scholarships.com - I know, what was I thinking, right?!  I guess I was hoping to actually qualify for a scholarship based upon my GPA and military experience.  Shoulda known better...

I dont have any children so if a "company" or institution is calling me regarding college "my child/college"  then it is a scam or the company that is calling bought a list from someone and is making cold solicitation calls for some product or service. Hate to bust your bubble...

They have called me over 10 times in the past two days! I want to be taken off the list but they are still calling me. It is out of hand and now how you do business. The hours that they are calling me also is out of line. They woke me up this morning and have called the latest at 7:30 which I don't understand why their business is opened so late. And there isn't a college name that they say which what the hell. TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST, I AM NOT ANSWERING ANY QUESTIONS! THIS IS INSANE! I AM IN A COLLEGE leave me the hell alone! The fact that I am looking this number up and there being how many other people complaining shows that they aren't conducting any business correctly. And after the 108i34092485 call they still don't leave a god damn message. Shady as hell.

FYI-  I specifically requested to the person that called me to stop calling me and take me off the list as I was the one that filled out the college request.  I have two jobs and don't have time for school right now, which is what I told them.  (twice)  They are still calling me 3 months later.

I simply called them back, they were very polite and said they would make sure their company does not call again.

I am not a parent, so nobody could have filled out information to collegebound.net, but me...which I didn't do.  The only thing I can think of is that I filled out a request for information from Everest College.  They called me 654321654321654 times while I was at work and never left a message, so I called them back and asked them to remove my phone number.  If they had called me ONCE and left a message it would have been fine.  Maybe they should rethink the auto dial machines as they lost one potential student due to this.  It's extremely annoying especially when I CAN'T call back when I am working.  I never gave collegebound.net my number, and will be seriously pissed off if I find out that Everest College gave them my number.

Well if you won't fix your goddam robodialing system (IT IS OBVIOUSLY BROKEN AND YOU OBVIOUSLY DON'T CARE) then you'll be whistlebound.com.  You'll know when you get that loud whistle in your ear. Ok, and we ask for someone of a different name when you call in SOMETIMES because we are on a constant automated dialing system to call students. So, the lines cross. Take a chill pill and relax. Just provide your number so we can pull it up and answer your questions. NO - we CANNOT take it out of the system until you provide it. So, save a heart ache and get it over with. Students request college information; either a long time ago or recently. Bottom line. Don't get defensive (parents) your kids fill these out for help, and that's all we try to provide them is help.
