The same thing that happen to you happen to us but we already payed them 900 dollars and my next payment would be in October. I checked my credit report and the same company BFG & associates had checked it too and now I don't know if I should pay them or just stop paying.

A Linda Brown called and left a message on my work voice mail that a class action law suit was filed against me and she left a case number. I returned the called and spoke to a Robert Watson who stated that he was a debt collector and that the account was sold to them by Wells Fargo, and that they were in the process of serving me with court papers. I could avoid court if I paid half now and the remainder in thirty days. Well I could not afford to do that. So I set up monthly payments. Well the scumbag got away with one payment and almost two until today!  I wish I had sense enough to google this company/blog site before today!

My husband received a call from Linda Brown from a processor company. ( called to his work) they told salesman who answered they were trying to serve my husband and that they needed to talk to him. I called the # the processor gave to his office manager 1-888-802-5499 because the processor would not give her the processors company name or number. I called the 1-888-802-5499 they answered by first name only and would not identify company name. I got on the line with a Robert Watson who said was for a old Wells Fargo account and the  4 EY has bought it and that they have sent us a letter 48 days ago. I asked for the information to be emailed to me or remailed since we never received the letter he said no that we have a few options to pay half now and half in 30 days or we will owe the full amount plus interest. I again asked Robert Watson to reverify with me that we owe the money and that this is not a scam again and he said no! We don't owe you anything we already mailed out a letter. I told him by law I am requesting that I receive information the debt is actual legit. (since my husband was remarried before) he said don't owe you anything you will need to be served and hung up. I called back got same thing person answering by thier name only and no mention of company 4EY or Bakers and Associates; I got Robert on the phone again told him to cease and desist all calls to my husband employers he said we will need to send in writing told him that if office manager tells debt collector on the line to stop calling place of employment they by law have to. He said we won't call there again but we will serve you. This place 4 Ey and Bakers Associates does not pull up under the address he gave me and now I am a little upset that we have people threatening us and won't stop calling our works and home.

I am very upset Linda Brown tel #  855-515-9059 called my direct supervisor at my work site and told her that they are trying to locate me to serve me some court papers and to call back.
I had no idea who this was so i called back asked for Linda Brown but a Robert Watson got my call he was very rude and demamding money he threatened to serve me at work to take me to court on a master card payment that I supposedly owe. I have never had a master card.. But I do believe it is ilegal to make this type of calls and or to talk to my boss???

I Just spoke to the supposed Mr. Watson and they were the same way with me. 4ey Inc. /  BFG & Associates?? ? Guy is being very combinative and not giving me information. He said he was in arbitration. They called me, and my mother freaking her out, to try to get a hold of me, and when I called back, he acted as if he did not know why I was calling.  He seemed as though he was impersonating an attorney or was one. I asked him to speak to legal, he first told me no, then later hung up on me 3 times, and would not give me any information. After the first hang up, he said, ?he dropped the phone?. He told me I was digging, and kept repeating, stop calling here, stop calling here, I told him I wanted more info, and he said no, and would not give me legal number. He was also very secretive about the name of the company and would not give it to me.  Upon asking, three or four times, I finally got it.  He told me he gave me all the info I needed. I told him I wasn't satisfied and it was my right to have info if you are pursuing me for something. I asked if you didn?t want to talk to me than why call me, my mother, and then talk to my brother.

Update to my last post -

They never returned my first call to them.  "Mr. Watson" was supposed to call back, but he was on a conference call.  Yup Sure.

Got a second call from "Lynda Brown" with a blocked #. She said that they are trying to serve papers and are tying to find me - they have an old address from 7 yrs ago.  I told here that i had already called BFG and that they never returned my call and that they had the wrong Birth Date - this is how they verify you.

She said that it really didn't matter if the Birth Date was a "Few" days off ( try a month off).  She gave me the case number again and a totaly different toll-free n umber to call - It is 888-273-9370.

She told me that the company is based in California, but that they "Are Everywhere".  Ooooh now i'm scared.

I called the new number and the same lackey picked up the phone, and would not ID who the company was, and said to hold while he got the Manager.  When the Mgr picked up i asked him if this was BFG, it seemed to take a second and he said that yes this was BFG & Associates.  Then I asked him his name - he said Doug.  Then whats the last name - he said Phizer.

I gave him the case # that i was told and after a brief hold he said that "Mr Watson" was handling that case and he was on the phone but would be with me in 5 min.

Well Doug came back on and said that "Mr Watson" was on a CONference Call (Again) and would call me back.  I told him that is waht i was told when i called before and that he never did return my call.  "I will make sure he calls you right back this time".

I have yet to hear anything.
