I'm on the Do Not Call List and I just got this phone number. Obviously the Do Not Call Registry does not work. Just goes on about some property in question. The only property my family owns is nowhere near California. Obviously a scam.

Left a stern voicemail saying they have tried several times to contact me and I had to call them back TODAY!  Sounded more like a  dork trying to sound tough. These guys are losers,  if not, they would have real jobs. Nobody should feel threatened they are trying to scam you and probably have no real power to do a damn thing. They lead miserable lives and want to make others miserable, dont give in to them. I like to laugh at them and piss them off more or just take up more of their time to keep them from bothering others,

I recieved a voicemail from some guy that he was from JDI & Associates. He told me in the message to call him back by the end of the day, that is was important. I have been getting a lot scam phone calls lately, so I looked-up the number. I won't call someone back if they don't tell me why they are calling or just sounds RUDE in the voicemail that is left for me. I question very weird phone call that I recieve. I read on many other sites that you canlook-up numbers that is a scam.

951 271 4840 JD I something about the physical property address and I should get back to him asap....um ya I dont think so.....I may have past debts from dead beat ex husband but good luck with the porche money(what we call unpaid medical bills)!

they called my father, left a voice mail on his phone, he called them back and a David Murdock told him they needed to speak to me in regards to property, and if I didn't call them back that afternoon, they would proceed with a lawsuit...I told my parents to disregard these calls and if they do happen to answer when they call, to tell them to remove their name from the call list.  Look up JDI Associates in google, you will find a debt collection service located in LA, and stating that they service those areas only.  Also, one alert flew at me from their webpage, the address they list for their business is a PO box.  A legitimate company would list a physical address.....Do not give these people any power by providing them information.  If they are going to sue you, there is nothing you could do to stop them in the first place.  Secondly, it will cost them more than the actual debt they are trying to collect to send someone to your state to prosecute.  If they tell you they are lawyers, they are lying.  And the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act made it illegal to falsely claim to be an attorney, if you aren't one.....

they called my parents home and left a voice message.  So my father returned the call and a David Murdock told him it was concerning some property and that if I did not call that day, suit would be filed.  I advised my parents to tell this person to remove their name from his call list, that it is a scam involving a debt from many years ago, past the statute of limitations.  These people called my house once and came on the phone (with my voice message) and just sat there for a few minutes saying Hello over and over again.

I just received the same call, same recording as others have mentioned.  I didn't call them back and don't plan to if they are a scam company!

I returned the call to find out what it was about supposenly a civil suit and I think I am named as the defendant , For what property? I don't have anything that belongs to anyone . The woman said to talk to Mr.Shaw but yet she supposenly transferred me twice and there was nothing . If this is a debt collector then are they allowed to lie  ? I asked if this was a debt collection place or if this was an attorney's office .....Huh it got silent again but that was after i said I looked them up online and asked them if they were a attorney's office or debt collection place. I told them not to call back. They have been calling everyday and night at my home and they keep  their name unknown because it never comes up on the ID caller . Watch out for these people they are digging for your personal information .This company apparentally have a history of this type of phone call abuse .

Just received a call back from this JDI associates, stating have a civil suit against me on a payday loan that I had already paid off. This is a total scam!!! They said that they are going to Sheriff office to have me arrested on this, !st of all they do not arrest on civil matters, they have to go before a judge in the county you live in and then have civil papers served to you, then goes to court. I have had several scam artist in the past trying to scare me into to give my account information. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!! Hang up on them.

they called and say that i took out a payday loan online, and i don't even have a checking account.

I answered the phone from  951 271-4877' A very stern robot message stated it was very important that I return the call regarding the property in question.

We are trying to get rid of these calls; no matter how many times we enter them into the "do not call" register, some seem to circumvent the process.

It is very annoying since we have a pa system that announces all calls for us. They come across the system as "California Call" and do not identify who they are until you answer the robot.

Owner of this company JDI & ASSOC....I hope you read these comments and stop. You are an intrusion to any ones privacy.

I got this call tonight about "my property".  Yeah, right.  I didn't call back and thanks to Google Voice with its call blocking feature I will never hear from them again!  Want to stop scam callers?  Get Google Voice.

Yeah, they called my father today giving out private information to someone they did not know if it was my father or not. Besides the point, its not even my fathers business. I called them back and it was due to an Orchid Bank Card, by their documents it had  $250 limit on it and want me to pay$1300 for a card I never had. I have never had credit cards, but at one point having a car worked on and a lot of checks and papers were stolen from the vehicle. Nothing was ever done about the issue from the police standpoint. But it's a case from about 10 years ago, this man threatened me on the phone that a summons was being issued for my arrest from GA but then retracted himself and said a litigation was in process. it lead from one thing to another but in the end he hung up because I know my rights and you're not gonna call me and threaten me with BS. I'm the type that will take it a step further than this firm will. Good Luck JD & A**--ociates... And yes they are pressuring u into thinking otherwise with scare tactics. Statue of Limitation has expired and they are trying to collect money from us..

Received a recorded message  from this number and it stated that it was "J D somebody and he was trying to get in touch with me concerning property in question", though he never mention any property. So as far as I was concerned, there was no property in question. Also, he said to call the number that had just called me, why did he not talk to me when he had the chance. I did not return the call. It seemed like a prank call to me.

i JUST got this same message.......creepy people. i didnt even say hello, i just picked up the phone and the recording started.

they called me from JDI and refused to give me the name or phone number of the original creditor the man said he was a managing partner his name was David Murdock.  He wanted me to pay over the phone 1, 184 dollars for some loan I know that i did not take out in 2005.  He said they were going to file a suit against me for refusing to pay.  I asked for the original information and he would not give it to me so that I could verify it.  Sounds like FRAUD to me

Same thing as many have already mendioned.  "Phillip" from JDI left me a message about the "property in question".  I won't be calling back thanks to everyone who posted on this site.

I received a call from a Texas # 214 396 4567 so beware of that one about bad check and if didnt wire funds or give debit card # over phone to pay by time the courts opened that i would have warrant out for my arrest.  Really. when will these people stop.  they had too much of my info and put me in tears at the thought i had made such a horrible mistake somewhere  but when i called them back telling them didnt have funds thats when the real anger from them came out telling me to kiss my kids goodbye and eat a good meal and so on.   like thats not a good way to start a day.
so be ware of all scams... fortunately i didnt react with my heart but my gut

due to a previous call about a "bad check" I had written, but didnt  and going thru all of that I am extremely cautious of any calls.  I too received a call from JDI AND ( A**.)OCIATIES  urgent message to call about "property in question".. only thing i am questioning is why they cant be stopped.
in reading over some of these it sounds like tied into last call I got from a texas # about the check scam,  they demanded payment w/in a half hour or when the courts opened I would have a Warrant out for my arrest.  
dont fall for anything... it is up to us to protect our identity the best we can and if you question anything they say even if they have your social security # and birthday,,, it's probably gonna bite you in the but.
luckily didnt get scammed first time,,, not gonna get scammed now.

These jokers called me, trying to sound important using legal catch phrases like "resolution of property." I haven't lived in CA for over 20 years and its probably the smartest personal choice I have ever made. However, no doubt some straggling member of my family remains. Who knows? So I called them back. They reek of scam and use phrases like "there has been a complaint" to keep you on the line. I hung up and looked it up. I advise anyone to be extremely cautious in dealing with anyone over the phone. The gig may be up with number, but this kind of criminal doesn't stop.

i recieved a call from these people leaving a message that they needed to speak tome about some property..when i called back they asked if i knew a "mans name" and i said i did not..do not know howthey got my number and why they called me but from reading this i think someone needs to stop them..

Yep, these people are at it again, (951) 271-4877.  They are based out of Corona, CA.  They are getting old information from credit reports and trying to get people to pay by bullying and threatening.  When I started to ask tougher questions, Philip of JDI Associates got extremely irate, using expletives..... Anyhow, I filed a complaint with the DA of California, we'll see where it goes from here.

Yup...I received the same message. I thought WTH...all my bills are paid and if it was really about a property in question they wouldn't be calling me with a recording telling me to call them. Oh well...I'm not the brightest bulb in the package but I'm not going to worry much about this one since its so close to the scrotum sack.

They just called me and I had a vehicle stolen from me about a week ago so i thought it may have been about "the property in question" and i owe money that i have been avoiding for a while so also a possibility so i was just about to call up until i remembered the scams!!!! I bought a surround system worth junk! for $200!!! so i have learned from my mistakes and checked online first!! hahaha
