I have been thru this before with these same idiots no doubt.  I have received numerous calls from these b*****ds and I finally took action...I have NEVER talked to them personally just heard their stupid fake messages. I know some LAW so I didn't fall for their s***, like some have.  But I have now filed formal charges with the FTC and FBI so they are in for it now.

I am sick of these b*****ds getting away with this...it is just another form of terrorism.

The FBI told me to send them a message warning them and if they call or reply again they will have enough to arrest them.

My girlfriend and I commute into work together, while driving today she got a call from this number.  She didnt answer it but they called back 4 times and finally she picked up.  It was a guy named Mark although he had the thickest Indian accent I have ever heard.  He claimed he was from the Attorney Generals office and that she needed to pay 500 dollars right now or else have she would be serving jail time in excess of nine months or she could come to California to appear in court.  Also that the authorities were on their way to her place of work to arrest her.


I called the guy back on her phone knowing it was a scam, I proceeded to tear him a new one on how pathetic he is and that he should get a life.  He then hung up on me.  But the weird thing is he called back but from a different number that was actually in her contacts list.  Her and I thought it was her friend calling but it actually turned out to be the "Sheriffs Department" with her friends name on the phone. The lady on the line said "hello" and then said "do you need an officer's assistance."  She couldnt hear me when I said hello and everytime I would try and say something the lady wouldn't respond.  Then all of a sudden the same guy with the thick accent started talking like he was talking to the "sheriff" saying that he is being accousted and harrassed over the phone with me.  Also saying that he is recording this telephone call to be submitted to the authorities.  I proceeded to then mock him in the best way that I could with the best Indian accent that I could muster.  I don't think he liked that, haha!  

The only thing that kind of weirded me out was that they knew our address and her SS #.

I really hope something bad happens to this guy.  Its just funny that as soon as I saw that number I googled and found this page and others like this with the same telephone number in question.

Same situation i had yesterday and today but he said.his.name was Tony Wilson. I fall for it and lost $1,000 and i.cannot get my money back.

Got the same call except his name was Chris Martin this time. He gave me a number to call his "supervisor" when I started asking questions...and of course when I called, it didn't go through. I was concerned until I googled and saw all of your comments.

Jesus this Daniel Smith who sound like Ali ababa keeps calling and threatening me to go jail if I don't wire him $864!!!!! What a joke

Since i wrote this he has called 17 more times!!! Omg i going to lose it. I hope they catch this guy because he could do a lot of harm if people believe this bull! Really nasty things he is going to do to my daughter... To bad she is a minor and owes nobody any money.

This lunatic just called my cell phone and left a message saying they were putting my daughter in jail.

Hey Brittney!  I got the same call and about died laughing at this mook!  The phone number is in Temecula, CA and has been flagged as a telemarketer number.  I'm going to pursue this with the CA AG and see if we can nail this idiot!  I feel bad that this jerk is putting such a scare into folks that don't know the process of law in matters like this.  I would recommend that you contact the company he may have said has filed the complaint against you and let them know whats going on and to add a note to your file that you had contacted them.  Just so there's documentation...

The phone number came up as "Private Caller" on my work phone.  A man with a thick accent named Daniel announced himself as being from the "state's attorney's office."   He threatened incarceration for fraud (up to 9 months) unless I made an immediate payment of $637.00.  Stated he had an affidavit and would be sending police officers to my work if I refused to pay.

Daniel instructed me to call 951-468-5445 or I would be in severe legal trouble.  I had misplaced the phone number and called the state's attorney's office and asked for Daniel but they had no record of a Daniel working there and no clue about any charges filed against my name.  Daniel had called back to my work multiple times thereafter and it wasn't until my boss got on the phone and asked for the business name and affidavit number that he hung up and stopped calling.
