Exactly what I received today.  Very strange.

Same story - on a voicemail told me it was time sensitive and that I must call back to 626-384-3265 for a Michael Miller.  If I or my atty didn't call - then they wish me good luck and laughed.  
When I called the number left on the message, a gentleman spoke in (India)English so broken and unrecognizable I had to ask the individual to repeat himself 3 times.  He said he was with the Department of Legal Affairs and Investigations but wouldn't give his name or from what company/organization of such department.  He wanted me to give him my name and phone number.   Don't be fooled.  They are trying to collect a debt of some kind.  It may not even be yours.... especially if you just got a new cell phone number.

Even LEGITIMATE debt collectors can't have you arrested for non payment. It's a bunch of bull and they get so mad when I just keep repeating it's a scam and to quit calling me because I've already reported their scam to the attorney general while they try to read some form letter they have in front of them. I also asked one guy if I could speak to someone that English wasn't their second language because i couldn't understand a word he was saying.

I also got  call from this number and now can't call it after I texted them and told them to remove my number immediately because it was a scam. They were saying I wrote a fraudulent check in payment of a payday loan, which I NEVER took out.I had submitted some info trying to find out about a cash advance but seeing the interest rates I never finalized anything and now am being bombarded by scammers, calling from different numbers, all with middle eastern accents and asking for my lawyer, and leaving the same exact voice mail message on my phone, as if they are reading it from a card. Someone needs to investigate these people seriously, because who knows how many people wiould be easily intimidated into sending them money...

these people are scamming folks watch out because they are now calling from 818 649-6017 stating that they are from the sheriff's office and that you will be arrested. You can hardly understand what they are saying but if you are gonna scam someone a***ole learn some English.They are calling from Moreno and Glendale, California.

Someone from this number has been harrassing me at my job and my home. They have left threatening messages. Today I called back to see what was going on. Told me if I didn't pay $3500 or have my attorney call back, a police officer would be at my job tomorrow morning at 11 a.m. to arrest me. I told him to bring it on because I don't owe them anything. I think they have gotten my info from online where I did put my information for a cash advance but I never actually got it! Watch out! These people are vicious!

I've been receiving these calls also from some guy who you can't understand and he says that I owe him 490 sum dollars and that he is going to send the information to my employer and that I will have fraudulent check cashing charges on me and that I will go to jail.

these guys have called me back to back to back. I've asked them to give me their mangers name and contact information but they beat around the bush and start getting very rude and nasty.

For those who have Android phones or I-phones, there is an app called Call Filter. It blocks those unwanted telemarketers, bill collectors, and other unwanted callers. The only thing is there numbers will still pop up on your call log, and yes they can still leave messages, but your phone will never ring and the only way you will no if they have called is if you look through your call log or if they have left a message.

Luckily, I have picture voice mail because I can erase it without even having to listen to it.

these people are mdot heads form indiana, may be we should feed them some hamburgers cas they have a cow for there rites they live on asubcontinet thats whay they are called push start and push stop a***oles

I keep getting calls for these people. not saying who or where they are calling. I looked up the number and saw that this number have been reported many time. really wish someone would do something about these people calling.

got a call from them telling me i am going to be arrested for check fraud when i have never gotten or issued a check from anyone and deposited it..... They are scaring me....

Its a scam quit worrying

I got that same ominous warning in a voicemail

i am getting calls from this number 951-489-0239 multiple times first of all cant understand what she is saying and she would NOT tell me where she was from every time i asked she would ignore me so ignored all her questions and did not give her any information. HOPEFULLY she will not call again.

I got the same phone call. He made it seem so bad that i freaked out left work and made my dad take out 700.00 that he really didn't have. I feel like a fool. Has anyone spoken to a police or attorney? Are there any options.

Has anyone truly been arrested from this phone call.  I tried to settle the account and was given a 60 minute deadline which I could not make.  So, should I be concerned. I am not even sure if I truly owe the debt. Just concerned in Missouri. Jason above is the only one that states the police actually showed up

This is unreal, I just got the call, they left me a message on my phone couldn't even understand because of the strong accent.  All I understood at the end of the message was "you are running out of time".  I tried calling back and it says voicemail is full.  I wanted to leave a message stating you son of a B**** "you are waisting your time with me.  I just cant believe how these things don't get screened.  It is very sad with the way  economy is right now, for someone who is trying to survive or feed their family would be drawn by these harrasing calls and ditch out all their little savings out to them.  They need to go straight to HELL.

Yup,I got 5 calls, they didn't leave msg. I called them, told same as all others, I failed to repay a loan.First amount was $4584.00. I was told that 11 am the next day , I would be served and arrested then sent to CA to face 3 separate charges. This woman was nasty. I called back and got a guy named Atty. Mark Williamshare, same spiel but his amount was $398.45. They had my social and bank acct. #. They got very short with me when I started asking intelligent questions. I called again. This time they answered with my name. They said I would have plenty of time to explain to the court in CA. I told her I lived in FL and when asked, by law, they had to give me their Bar # if they were an Atty. (?) . She said her name was Michelle Brown and rattled off 22581. I also got the address which they said was San Fransisco. She then told me not to call back again. LOL I looked up CA Bar #'s and that # comes back to a MALE Atty in WA. Not CA.  This is all such a load of crap , it's almost funny. But a little scary too.   Oh , and Yes, they all spoke with an (India) accent.

I just got 2 phone calls from this number saying i owed an outstanding balance for some payday loan. The funny thing is when i told him the second time he called that i am currently in the US ARMY and have notified my legal department, and that they were currently under Federal Investigation the only reply i got out of him then was " Oh Sh** " and he hung up.

spoke with the local authorities, they also were harrassed by these people. They even threatened one of the dispatchers and said there was a bomb, so the FBI has been braught into this. It is international, they are not in this country. and can not be traced unfortunately.  But they have pissed this momma off enough that if I could get my hands on their arabian a***s I would choke them till they s*** their pants. so I hope they are reading the blog that is about them, if so, you have messed with the wrong people. WE HAVE HAD ENOUGH AND WILL NOT FALL FOR YOUR CRAP!

I just a call from some lady who could bearly speak enlish saying i own  a cash advance and that i need to get a lawyer to handle my cash.  Who are these people and how do they get your work number?

FBI is well aware of this problem and is trying to work diplomatically with the Indian government to stop this scam. They told me to not engage them and tell my company to not engage them, they are hung up on enough times they move on eventually.  The phone number although an California are code is traced to Tamilnadu, Indian.

Same story, wanted me to confirm info, called my work, said the legal department of Texas would be here in an hour.  Had the same phone calls from these people for 2 years.  It's a scam.

I was told the same thing and I actually believed it as well because I did have an outstanding payday loan I didnt pay. He wouldnt tell me what company it was from which I knew and he also wouldnt tell me the name of his company. Then the bad thing is they want you to upload the money on a pre-paid card such a scam. I almost fell for it.
