We got a text about the Walmart gift card.

Got a text message from this number about winning a $1000 gift card to Walmart. Had to go into a website (http://myrewardadvantage.com/wm/index.php?lid ... 68&uniclk=false) and put in a code. Site owned by Subscriberbase, Inc. Text said I was chosen to win a $1000 gift card to Walmart if I was 1 of the first 1000 users to enter the code 7777 at the above mentioned website.

SMS SPAMMER.  How do they get away with this? Call your mobile providers!

Received same text message.  The folowing is what I found when I googled the number:

"Phone number: 951-491-1973
is located in Temecula, California.

Its exchange 491 is managed by AT&T - LOCAL - CA.

The number is currently on switch number SNBRCA01A05 .

Around 100% of people reported it as "Telemarketer"

I got the same text this morning, but my website was the same as Chad's: www.walmartgift.mobi.  I did a survery for them a couple weeks ago, but I doubt these are connected.

I got the same message.  Didn't go as far with it as Mike did.  I'm reporting in and blocking the number.

I went in and enter the code and was sent to a page that again said that I was selected to receive the $1000 gift card. Of course there was a BIG catch. You have to (a) submit their zip code to determine geographic eligibility; (b) register with a valid and deliverable email address; (c) submit accurate contact and demographic information including a physical mailing address; (d) acquire two sponsor action points from the Top Offers Group, two offers from the Prime Offers Group, and 9 offers from the Premium Offers Group for a total of 13 sponsor offers; (e) and refer three friends to do the same (i.e. register and complete the required number of sponsor offers). The original text didn't say anything about any additional requirements and since I don't have an unlimited plan it cost me. I am also on the national do not call list so I shouldn't have received the text in the first place. I will file a complaint.
