they are frauds, they are doing this to everyone

Called saying I was gonna be arrested, that I had got a loan from them, which is a lie, I have not.

This # called me and said I owed them money....which I have never recieved anything from them I have no idea who they are...said they were issueing a warrant for my arrest...but yet when I questioned when did I recieve this money he could not answer..just told me they have called several times to attempt to collect....this pissed  me off so bad, it was very upsetting, they also called my work and said this to my supervisor...this has to be illegal, how can u stop this .....I have no idea how they even got my work .....

I got the same message as you guys also.  I tried calling the number back and no luck it was saying "mailbox is full" and i was disconnected.  I got the same exact scenario as Shannon has, so what do I do from here?

voicemail from 951-582-4822.  Lady with heavy Indian accent told me that if she did not hear back from me or my attorney, then she would pray for me as prayer would be all that would help me now.  I called it back just to see what they would say when I questioned them.  Got a voice that said 'welcome.this mailbox is full' and click.  Disconnected call.  This is a week after I had to close my checking account and open a new one has someone gained access to it and took out $30.  When I called the number for that ACH transaction, some Indian guy told me I had applied for a loan, they gave me $800, and I would pay them back $30 every 4 days.  He could not tell me name of company but promised a refund in a week.  I applied for no such loan, no one gave me $800 (I think I would notice that), and never signed anything for anyone to ACH debit my account.  I have no recurrent debits of any kind.  We had a security breach at work and the only thing I can think of is that they got my info that way.  This place had my name and cell #.  I signed fraud affidavits at my bank and they refunded the $30 I lost and took all info to dispute with company.  They alos ran copy of my credit report to make sure all ok there. S o far, so good.

this number called my phone and left 5 messages which stated they needed to talk urgently but when i tried to call back then no one answered

I just had a lady called me telling me i had owed them some money and i need to get my attorney to call them or a local police officer would be serving me papers to my job i started asking her questions she hung up in my face.

I just received a call saying that my "situation would unfold" if myself or my attorney did not call immediately.  The man had a heavy accent and I barely understood what he said.  Stupid.

i just got the same call that everybody comment about.  i dont know the man was foreign and telling me that im going to be arrested for some cash advance that i tried to get but never received i been trying to call the number back and now they wont anwser he said that he was from internal affairs and investigation lmao i thought it was funny.  its ashamed what people go through just to get money but he got the wrong person here i wish i knew were he was cause he would have got a beat down.  he got mad and hung up on me because i laughed at him

I also got this call and when I asked him the date the transaction took place he kept saying "You should know". I said you should get a new script and your lying. i cursed at him and he cursed back..ive been working in call centers for 11 years and that is a nono so I knew righ there it was a scam.Then he said he was reading the affidavit,I knew that was a lie I told him he was running a scam and i would be waiting for the police so i could turn him in.lol

Just happened to me too @ 11:40 am.  A man from India said I owed $400 /fraud check/the police where going to come and arrest me later this evening. As soon as he said that I knew this was a crazy joke.. I laughed it off on the phone and he got upset. I could hear it in his voice and i wished him a good day and hung up.  haha!

I got a call at work at 7 this morning from 951-582-4822 a foreign man was on there sayin I better get an attorney and if I don't he wished me luck on whats about to unfold im so pissed that's ridiculous

I received a call from 9515824822, I did not accept the call so it went to the voice mail so I have his recorded voice with an accent. This person is telling me that I owed this amount of money and if I don't pay it by today I will be arrested. Some one will come to my job and I will be arrested. He claim he was an attorney. He then told me in order for him to help me out I need to go to Walgreens by a prepaid card and send the money to them. I know that is not the way things work when you owe firms money. So I played along with him until he realized he was not getting anywhere with me and then he hung up.

This number called my place of employment on 10/24/2011.  I contaced the company and there was a foreign gentleman answer the phone not addressing the company he worked for. I informed him my name and he informed me that I was being charged with check fraud and grand theft because of his client was pursuing charges against me because of a cash advance loan of the amount of 1500.00. The person informed me that  I need to be in court on Wednesday the 26th in California. I informed the gentleman that I have not recieved any cash advance into my checking account. He stated that I would recieve a notice on the date of 10/25/2011 to inform me about the court hearing on Wednesday and that I would need to fly to California to be in court and if I didn't show then the sherriff department would show up at my work and I would be arrested.

I''m getting the same phone calls

I have had this number call me so much I have quit answering it. It is always someone you cannot understand threatening a lawsuit over a bill an that the law is coming to get me and take me to jail. People, it doesn't work like that - they have to send you registered mail saying you're being sued and furthermore, the USA does not have a debtors prison except for Tax fraud! These people need to get their jollies some other way. I don't need their harassment!

I had the same number 951-582-4822 call this morning saying I'm gonna get arrested for fraud blah, blah?.I filed a police report and had to change bank account information. They made a deposit of .05 cents and then withdrew .03, .01 and .01 on the same day. The bank said this is FRAUD and they do the deposits and withdrawals to see if the account is open and active. I knew it was a fraud because the guy had an accent and sounded indian like and said his name was James Miller. I have indian friends and know that they do not have last names by Miller. The investigator from the fraud and loss prevention unit is suppose to get back to me, so I will keep you all posted.
AND I DID TRY TO DO A FAST LOAN ONLINE AND THINK THIS IS WHERE THEY GOT MY NAME, ADDRESS, WORK INFORMATION, SSN AND BANK INFORMATION. DO NOT APPLY FOR THOSE FAST LOANS. IT'S A FRAUD!!!!!!!!

I received a call from the same number today from a man with a thick accent leaving a message that it was urgent i called back. I called the number back and confirmed my name and they already had my email account info....lady with thick accent and talked very fast, said an investigation was going on with me because money was transferred into my account and the funds were not available (or something like that, I had a hard time understanding because she talked so fast and had thick accent). She was very confusing when I asked what company when I asked who she was representing...she also said they were reporting me to credit bureau. She said they were going to send me a legal letter or something on Monday.  I called my banking company and they had a two .01 cent withdrawals and .03 cent withdrawals from a  1-877 number.  I think this is one of those companies who tell you that you have been approved for a loan, I may have stupidly given my account # to one of these companies to check to see if I would be approved. I will just wait to see what happens, because I never received any money from these people, or anyone else.

Received 2 calls within 45 minutes of eachother, Foreign woman said need to speak with you or your attorney, this is urggent. You must call back if not there is a claim against you, if you don't all I can say is Good Luck!

I called, all I got was Welcome.

I called the people back and told them I have reported them to the FTC yesterday.  They then told me that they got me confused with someone else.  They have stopped calling me.

I just got this call while at work. Asked me if I had an attorney they could speak with about charges in my SSN. Now the only way they can get my work number must be from some Cash Advance I did last month. This is the only thing I can think of.  Thanks for the posts. Now I am not so worried about this.

A man by the name of Ricky Black called me from this number on my personal cell phone number and my work number and left a message regarding a legal matter and said i needed to return his call immediately..  When i called back I spoke to a rude woman named Michelle Brown and She had my social, name and email, claiming i was being sued for some amount of money and read 3 different charges.  when i inquired more about the company and amount, she screamed do you not understand english and said if you have any questions have you attorney contact me then hung up. someone needs to find out who this company is or people and STOP this immediately.  My attorney  has been contacted and a full police report has been filed.

I feel ya. I too just received this call inregards to my name social and a cash advance, I haven't even taken out. There should be a law against this type of calling. And to call my work and state I had pending criminal charges should also be against the law. Send those foreignors back to where they came from.

Report them to the FTC.  That is what I did today.  There is a SCAM going on I was told.  Give the FTC all the info you can.  Name and number of who called you and who you spoke to.  I then called this Dan Foster who kept calling me from the 951 number and told him that I reported him to the FTC.  The calls have now stopped.  Dan told me they were going to arrest me also.  It does not work that way.  If there is a law suit against you have to be served with papers before they can arrest you.

I just received this same call about 30 minutes ago. A foreign man contacted me saying he was with a debt collector, that my previous employer gave me $2500.00 in my bank account. He went on to say that I was going to be arrested shortly here at my home address and taken to California, a little bit worried I asked to speak with their "so called" attorney, A new person came on the line and argued with me a while.  When I asked for their company law firm name, they HUNG UP ON ME! I attempted to call them back because of course going to jail over something u didnt do is enough to scare you to death, although they will not answer the phone now. Is there someone I need to contact? Did my old job do this because they owe me pay that they are never going to pay me apparently. ughhh Plz help someone .. Thank you ..

Contact the  FTC and report it.
