No phone number was given but I checked the email address it was sent from "funkstuffy@gmail.com". Glad I searched the Internet for this address, they're still trying to scam people!! Be careful out there.

This is a scam.

Hellen is still at it as of this date. I googled and found all the posts. I decided to play along via email. She is probably too stupid to be reading these posts. I work in a bank, so she has already committed to sending me a money order, and oh her  secretary made a mistake and sent me more than my item. Can she trust me to send the difference back ..... yeah right. I will make a copy of her phony money order  or " certified check or whatever. I will report her to authorities who know how to handle this.  Unfortunately, I have seen this too many times. Rest assured Helen, or "Peggy" - he or she - will get his or hers. I hope " Hellen is readinig this. Funny, she responded so quickly to my emails, but when I emailed her to let her know I would no longer be needing her money and return her funds uncashed when I received them, haven't heard a peep!

I just had an email from hus.ghan@yahoo.com telling me she wanted to buy a piece of furniture from me that I had on Craigslist, telling me I needed to reduce the price so she "could buy it for her son" and that she was hearing impaired so not to call her.  She is now going by "Christina" but there is no phone number.

I googled the email address of someone that sent a response to my CL ad that I started for 2 concert tickets. It was cynthiawright1766@gmail.com but the name of the 'sender' was Seth Grant. He wrote "Im interested in the posted item, I hope it is in good condition?". Since the ad was for concert tickets, I wondered why he would ask about the condition, especially since I included a picture of the tickets that showed they were just fine. I'm glad I found this site, now I know not to reply, thanks!

Ha , another craigslist scammer . Yeah and this time "She" wants to buy the car rims I have for sale. Sure she does.

This is "Sophia".  It's a decent scam....Sophia....sounds foreign so maybe she doesn't know about Paypal or why we don't use checks.  I hope the Maryland PD head right down to Margie "Sophia' storage unit and put her fat a22 in jail!!!!!

I'm so glad that I found this site before I responded!

I am in Portland, OR and I received emails from a "Nicole" and "Sophia" was a cousin or something. I actually got scammed and I feel like an idiot. The part that gets me is that we all thought it was fine considering I received a cashier's check from Citibank instead of a personal check. Now there is a hold on the check and we're out money. Same email address: rydersrooms@yahoo.com.

This person is scaming in Tallahassee too. I replied not knowing it was a scam....but after the second email I figured it was.

I got a message from a lady named sofia castro. All the message said was, "I would like to make purchashe! Is it still available?" I responded and told her that the nitrous kit was still available. She then replied "I need your address so I can send a certified check". About a week later I recieved a check. The check was for 3 times the amount of what I had priced the kit at. When I asked her about this she had replied to go ahead and cash the check, the remainder was for the delivery service. I told her serval times that the kit sold for $600 brand new on ebay and could not understand why she would pay more than that for it used. I also asked her who was going to be picking the kit up, and she said that she would tell me when the check had cleared. I'm more trusting than I should be but in the beginning I was excited to just get rid of the kit. After the check cleared she informed me to send the remainder to a lady in TX. I live in WV and this just did not seem right at this point as she had told me before that she lived in D.C. A few days later I told her that I had taken the money out of the bank, but I was not going to send any money via western union, as I did not trust it and  I would just give the remainder of the money to who ever was picking the kit up. As soon as I had sent that email out, I saw that the certified check she had sent me was returned. Something had told me to just look at it one more time before I set up the delivery. I called CitiBank, where her certified check was from, and it was a fake, thats why it had been returned. If you happen to come accross this person then please kick their a**. I have sent them several emails telling them that I wish their internal organs would rotten.
