Person calling claiming to be Officer Roger Brooks over a legal matter about my SSN and name being uses in several criminal matters. He has even went as far as calling my job and leaving the same message on a general voice mail.

I got a call as well. did they threaten jail time with you?

I got a call from this number from a man saying he was District Attorney Devin Marshall. He said his paralegal was trying to contact me because he needed some information so he can fax paperwork. I asked what info and what information did he need from me. He said it was regarding a lawsuit against me for fraudulent activity. He also went as far to tell me that the police are going to come to my job and arrest me and put me in jail for 6 months. This man had my S.S. #! I told him I would be in contact with a lawyer and I will be filing a police report with the local authorities. He said go ahead, I am still going to jail, then he hung up on me. This man's accent was not an american one I can assure you that. It was from India, and if it was an attorneys office, it would definately not have numerous phones ringing in the background with othere people saying the same thing to other callers. SCAM!!!!!! I encourage anyone who has dealt or is dealing with this to make police reports.

Yep I got the same type of call this afternoon on my cell phone. An Eric Johnson calling from the Law offices of James A Best. He said that I need to have my attorney call their office because my name and SS# are part of a lawsuit. Total scam. Called number get 1 beep and hangs up. Beware.

I received a voicemail to my work number from a man who could hardly speak english from this number.  He indicated "may God be with me" and that I or my attorney should call and that I better NOT ignore this call.  He then told me God bless and then said "Goodbye Miss Tracy".  Very strong accent.  Indicated his name was Paul Marvin from the State Attorney's Office.

Ok, so I got a call from the same number and this time he was asking to speak with my attorney, so I said "what" then the India guy was telling me that I needed to call Attorney Alex Cooper at 951-878-0978 so they could find a way to clear up my legal issues. I told him to f*cc off and he was a poor excuse for a scammer and he hung up on me..so please folks BEWARE!!!

Same message...probably same person...the person I talked to identified himself as Micheal Johnson; again with a middle eastern accent. The attorney's name was mentioned as Alex Cooper. I could barely understand him so I didn't get the whole message, but I heard enough to realize it was BS...

I got a a call from a guy named Max. he told me I needed to call him or have my lawyer call him. he did not give me the name of the company that he's working for so I have no idea why you have my number he does sound overseas he does thick accent. he told me that if I didn't contact him or have my lawyer contact him. anything that happened falls on my shoulders.

9518780978 - Says he is a para-legal. Have lawsuits brought against me. Wants to give me another number to call to speak to the lawyer. Very thick accent. Yelling at me, kept calling back. Looked the number up online and it's been reported over and over again for fraud.

I got a call from someone saying that his name was Officer Roger Brooks from the state Attorney's office and that I had to call him back. When I did call he said that my name and social security number are part of a legal claim. Said that they would call my job to get me fired and also send the police to arrest me. Would not tell me anything about the legal claim or from what State Attorney's office he was from. But I am pretty sure that the State Attorney's office from any state has better things to do than to try to collect debts that are not even owed. Not to mention that I know that this is not how a legal issue is handled.

so i looked up this phone number and they gave me the name of people how give this number service it is a land line from 01 communications inc. -ca   the corporate office number is 8884441111 if u call them they tell u if them people are doing a scam file a report with your local police department and they would file a complaint with them so they can do something about it

they are calling me makeing threats to my home and job and my ssn  they need to stop

Received a call from this guy with a thick accent who called once 3-29 and 3-30 early in the am and left a voicemail saying I needed to return the call. On 3-30, I returned the call and he was rude saying he'd read me an affidavit and not to interrupt and could ask questions at the end. It was regarding check fraud, misrepresentation and something else. I hung and he hasn't called back yet but I have the number blocked through my call control app. Please don't fall for this.

I keep getting calls from this number...and like everyone else, you can definitely tell it's fraud.  I haven't spoken with the person yet, but I am going to report the number, keep the voicemails, and see what we can do to keep these identity thiefs from calling anyone else.  It's really sad that people do this...I mean, you can see an elderly, young, or naieve person falling for this.

I just got this phone call from some bogus attorney telling me if I dont return his phone call that I will have criminal charges against me and I will lose my job. This guy has a thick middle eastern accent and is only trying to get your social sec #. Dont fall for it, let him know that youwant him to send the sheriff and let him know you are a government agent and you are tracing the phone calls and watch his a** hang up :) Have a good day guys

So this number will call my home over and over and curse at me so I decided to give them a taste of there own medicine. A group of us just kept calling the number back over and over and talking crap to him. Need less to say he dosnt like when it happens to him. If you are tired if him calling you I suggest you do the same he does not call me no more.

Guy said the same to me threatened me and said the police were coming to my job to arrest me

Guy called 3 times this morning. On the first call he was with the States Attorney's office on the second and third call he was from an Attorney's office mentioning a name i didn't get. On each call he asked for someone whom i don't know but let me the call was being recorded and that i am in trouble.

So...these people are calling me as well so then the guy tried to change his accent...which he couldn't...told me i was in legal trouble which is absolutely impossible. hahahaa so...i called them back and put on my horrible "english accent" and they kept hanging up on me...I don't think this guy likes getting crazy phone calls...

Received a call on my cell and work said his name was Lincoln Martin and that i was being sued for a debt and that i must have my lawyer or myself to return his call immediately,he also threatened me with my job and the police. When i called back it rings twice and hangs up. I have reported this and my employer is aware if this harrassment. However, it is a little scary that people would do these kinds of things. Someone has to stop them.

these people called be today talking about I got 3 pre love who's pending against me for real these guys wouldn't got nothing better to do. I told him I was in the military and up I still have my clearance to find then they hung up sad

I got a call from this number three day ago saying that my SSN has 3 lawsuits against it and if i dont call this number (951-878-0978) which is the exact same number that called me and ask for "attorny Robert Coston" right away an officer will go to my house and arrest me and i can even lose my job. Whenever i get stupid calls like this i always research the number to see who the number belongs to. So when i seen all these posts i knew it was a scam or a joke. The next day i got the same call and when i told them i knew it was a scam, the person became very angry and said "do you want to lose your job". Pathedic...

I have received a call from the same number claiming I had 3 lawsuits for criminal charges pending against me. When I asked them what the charges were he became severely agitated and started yelling at me. He then called me back today and when I told him that I had checked into his story about the State Attorney named Bexter Cruz and told him that there were over 30 pages of fraud complaints on that name and the number he got pissed off and said that since I have an attorney that they would file the charges on me to prove that they are not fake. They also said that the State Attorney's office would have defended me during the court proceedings. This does not sound right. I have never heard of a State Attorney's office call someone up and say "you have so many charges coming up against you, but don't worry we will defend you". This sounds like such a scam. I am going to dig deeper into this through the Sheriffs office and see what they can come up with.

This number called my work asking for me telling them that I was being sued and when my job said that they could not confirm or deny that i worked there, they started screaming at my co-workers. When I called this number back they started called me all kinds of bad names.

This is INDEED  a hoax. They just called my work, screaming at the receptionist, telling her it was a "legal matter". I called them back, knowing full well I have no pending "legal issues", and talked to the rude, thickly accented man, who proceeded to use profanity in his tirade. Poor guy is so upset that he couldn't get another sucker to bite.

I keep receiving calls on my cell phone from this number, very heavy accent, saying my social security number has fraud activity on it and I have a lawsuit against me, he says the next step is to call my job and then says "Im sure you do not want to get fired".

I didn't receive a call from this particular number but have been the victim of other strange calls. Asked them not to call back, to no avail. Bought a whistle. When they called a few days ago, I answered the phone and blew the whistle.  No calls since.

I received a call at work today stating pretty much word for word what everyone is saying.  Thick accent, threatening, never stating who the creditor is, asking for my attorney, bankruptcy, quitting my job, etc.  His name was David Cooper. Gave me wrong number which "beeped", then I returned call from voice mail and got a manager who was also rude, nasty, and threatening.  I hung up on him.

They threatened to have me fired and this was a serious matter and I had to call back - I actually called back and talked to the guy and told him to stop calling and that he was ridiculous to think I would be fired and my lawyer would get in touch - that was last night. He called my work twice and luckily my HR manager recognized the number because one of my co-workers was also harassed my this man. She unplugged the phone lines and since then he hasn't called my  cell or work number. SOMEONE NEEDS TO STOP THIS!!!
