Received a green card stating she has jewelry and needs to pay 6.95 for a storage release fee and can only be paid by telephone and can use only a Visa or Mastercard. Phone number consumer was noted to call regarding this is 1-800-461-4051. Tracking # listed on card is 302701, and postmarked Naples FL. 34101

This telephone # 800-461-4051 is advertised quite often on a popular Boston radio station.  The ad tells you to call this number to get your free smokeless cigarette kit.

I got the card today with phone number 1-800-511-4690. It says that I have jewerly on hold even though I didn't order anything, the fact that I have to paid 6.95 only by phone and only with credit card make it smell like a scam.

Card not green but white. Same flying horse in the right hand corner in a blue box and on the left in an orange box "Notice of Parcel Claim." It also states in a light purple box "this is your only notification" Number 1-800-701-0362. Same company, CCD P.O. Box 413019, Naples. The front has a border of red and blue like the postal service colors.

Well I received the green card today and the Phone # that is on mine is 18007738572
How can this company get away with this and how many poor souls have bit that hook???

I just filed a complaint on this company with West Florida BBB.  Case file # 67140532.  Received a green card w/ toll free no - 800-530-1540.

My mother got a green card from the same company except the phone number on the card is 1-800-520-6160 and i called it too have her removed from their mailing list and the operator refused too do so and kept on with the sales pitch and ignored my request too remove her, I even threatened too sue the company if they did not remove her.....I do know that under FCC laws it is ill-legal for a company too keep someone on their calling or mailing list if the person calls or sends in writing that they want too be removed from their list...............I even did a search for the company in the BBB's data base too see if they are BBB credited, it turns out the  company was listed and it is not a BBB credited company.....I do not know what too do to get my mother off their list........

i got the same card today from the CCD from Naples Florida with a 1-800-889-0322 number on it with the same info as the others a 6.95 shipping fee, i have only been at this address for a few weeks far away from anywhere i have lived before, it seems to be clearly a scam, they said they have a pearl gold necklace witha diamond on it. why would a company give these away for free, really. i havnt ordered anything from anyone, clearly a scam so please be careful everyone and dont fall for this

I received a card from the same company today, stating the same info you wrote just a different 800 number to call back too. And I haven't order anything either.

Everyone should call and harass them. Also should send the green card back on their stamp. I'm sending an e-mail to my news stations, maybe someone will run the story to get it out there.

I received the green card, and the number to call on it was 1-800-506-4010.  Where do they come up with all these different numbers????  I think the Postal Service should filter all this junk out and trash it!!!

Upon calling I inquired as to what I had ordered in the past. He didnt know & could not look it up. I inquired as to how many days I had left, even with the tracking number and my name he did not know and could not look it up. Upon telling him I had lost my job and did not have a card, even debit, he got very hostile and practically hung up on me when it became obvious that I was not going to be paying for the "processing and delivering fee".

This should be considered impersonation of the government (as the post office is a government facility).

Clearly a scam. Id like to report it.

My 83 year old mother received the same green card, in regards to a $50.00 jewelry deal, but with a complete different number 1-800-797-0265. However, she did give them (the nice lady on the line) her credit card number on Friday 2-6-09. I have spent the whole weekend trying to track down and cancel what ever this SCAM is to avoid any future bills. I HOPE THESE CROOKS ARE STOPPED REAL SOON.

It's obviously a phishing scam, but should be reported to your state consumer affairs division - in Florida, that would be the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Affairs, which I am citing because the green card with the 1-800-520-6980 number points to a PO Box in Naples, FL. The presorted first class postage paid frank has a zip of 33912, despite a claimed return address ZIP of 34101.

This sounds like something Jeff Mabe would do.  Have you ever heard his telemarketing CD.   It is really funny and hits home.

I do know they pay for toll calls.  Probably only 2 cents a minute like I pay, but hey it adds up.

My card was 800-520-5960.  It did indicate "jewelry" and a locator number.

I agree by their using the green card, similar to the certified receipt, but the problem is the post office is making money off of their mailing these out - are they really going to care?

I got the green post card addressed to one of my decedents in an estate I'm handling but at my address, so I knew it was a scam.  If you look on the bottom of the green card, it does say introductory promotion offer form 502PC

This shows 800-520-5960 and was mailed to Indiana.

I'm sure there is a parcel with some junk in it if you pay the $6.95, but it won't be anything you probably want.  Disregard it and don't waste your time unless your curiousity is worth your time and $6.95.
