They keep calling - don't leave a message.  And hang up.

I didn't answer when I received a call from this phone number, nor did I call the 888-866-8295 number the caller asked me to call. I called the UHC members' customer service line. UHC said they have no knowledge of these phone numbers, nor do they have any missing info in my file. Sounds like a scam to me.

I received two calls from a VERY nice man who said he was calling from United Health Care and wanted to verify information in regards to a recent claim that was processed.  I asked him how I could help him and he quickly said I'd like to verify that I'm speaking to the correct person since there are certain privacy acts that  they need to comply with.  He then asked me to verify my home address and birthday and if I could give him my personal information over the phone.  I quickly said to him, I'd be more than happy to provide you with the information you're looking to verify so tell me what you have and I'll let you know if it's correct.  He paused for a second and said that he does NOT have any information other than my city, state and year of birth.  I told him that I did not feel comfortable giving him any information over the phone and if he's truly calling me from my insurance company that he should already have that information.  What do you think happened next??!!??  He hung up on me!!!  I called the number back and it's not in service.  Glad I wasn't dumb enough to fall for his scam!!!  To those why receive the same kind of call from the same number, PLEASE just hang up on them before you end up in trouble with the risk of your identity stolen.

having united health care insurance is just like not having any insurance at all....they are sorry.

It's United HealthCare. Their registered nurses are calling to clarify information to ensure it is correct and matches up with what is on file.
