I am from Brisbane ,Australia and to-day the 18th of June 2014 , I received a phone call from an Indian man who said that he was from the Service dept. of Microsoft Windows ,telling me that I have problems with my  computer and when I asked him to repeat his company's name, he passed me through to his supervisor by the name of Steven (still an Indian ) who told me the same thing about my computer . When I told him that I had another phone call coming (not true) and to give me his phone number ,he gave me the number  9524676389 and when I questioned if that was  from India . he said that he was phoning from New South Wales ,Australia . I knew that it was a scam because we do not have 10 digits in our phone numbers

This scammer called my home more than three times and said that my computer has been taken over by foreign based hackers. He claims  that he knows all about my computer activities, and can help me get rid of the hackers.

He has an Indian (main land) accent, and gave me this phone number:952-467-6389.

Let us get this lousy scam.

Same here, I always keep em' on the phone long enough that hopefully I saved one elderly person they might have scammed.  They have been calling like every day lately and I just pretend like I believe them and then I bust out "you're pathetic scammers" blah blah blah.

Received a call from 952-467-6389. Caller ID said Kavish Techsof. Caller claimed to be from Microsoft tech services and said my computer was downloading viruses and malware. Since I'd heard about the scam before I let him talk until he said he needed remote access to my computer. That's where I hung up.

Got 5 calls between 10 AM  and 12:30 PM Apr 29.  Callers identify themselves as Microsoft Technicians calling from the Technical Centre at the Windows Service Centre in Utah.  First caller was from 952-467-5890 and second caller was from 952-467-6389.  As each called and explained they were not a hoax and there to help me I explained that I would not deal over a phone but only at my local shop.  In each case they got irratated and then I asked for their number so I could check them out and call them if I found they were legit.  The first one recalled me and finally gave up when I told him I would not deal with him after reading the reports about his scam on the internet.  The second caller phoned again and I told him I was on the other line with the police ( I wasn't) and would call him later depending on what police said.  An hour later he called again and I told him that the Federal Business Bureau, the Saskatchewan Police, and the International Computer Fraud Squad had all become involved regarding his earlier phone calls.  Then he still tried.  So I told him that the RCMP were already organizing enough snow mobiles to ride as far south as they could towards Utah till they run out of snow.  I asked if he had heard of the Lone Ranger and he said he had.  I said that once the snow ran out then the RCMP were meeting up with a division of Texas Rangers on horses led by George Custer and they would ride to Utah and track him down with horses and helicopters.  There was a long pause and then he said he didn't believe me.  I started laughing and asked him which part of the story gave it away and he hung up.  Maybe it was the part about Custer!!!

This scammer threatened one of my elderly friends the FBI would be after her for treason if she did not give them her credit card number. She said I live in Canada and he said the Canadian police would be after her. They took control of her computer and I was lucky to shut him down and out.
