I am replying to my own post to let you know it is a SCAM. I had a random withdrawl for $2.00 yesterday for a "Exercise Dvd." I did not purchase this and I followed up by calling my bank and canceling my card. Then I called the number that was on my statement. I think I caught it in time but I am worried about what a risk evaluator told me about scammers. He said they are recording you saying yes and replacing their words so you appear to be agreeing to whatever it is they are trying to do. When whoever called me claiming to be Visa they asked me to say "yes" or "correct" to verify my personal information.....grrr. Watch out for people calling claiming to work for Visa. ;(

I got a call on Friday saying I was being rewarded for using my visa the last 18 months. They told me I won a $500 gitcard for home depot and walmart they just needed to verify some information. I was careful and did not tell them any information they did not know other than my email. I didnt recieve any emails from them or any packages yet. Does anyone know if this is a scam? I hope not...

Is it a legit?

They offered me a 500 shopping spree and called back minutes later from this number saying I could get 100 dollars and life insurance. I don't trust it at all.

I believe it is a scam. just from what I've read, they're claiming to be working for various companies. I recieved the call and was told I'd been pulled from a drawing done through Visa. someone else says online surveys. another says mountain dew. Something funny there.

I got the call saying that i won 500 dollar online shopping spree from a promotional company working with mt.dew with their honor the code sweeps and only had to pay 14.90 one time and so far its legit lol I cant freaking  wait.... message me back if you got scammed from this so i know to cancel and everything.

I won too! Just 14.90 for shipping & processing. I even went ahead and got a prepaid card with only 14.90 on it just in case, but she said it shouldn't take longer than a week for my 500 shopping spree card and it comes with two subscriptions that help  save you money, you don't have to keep them, just have to call and tell them you don't want to keep them, unless I may, & you still get to keep the $500! Not a scam. There has to be some sort of way they make money to be able to do this promotion, even if it is just a processing fee! YAY!

I recieved a call also. Did you spend the mone and recieved items for doing so?

they called me from this number after calling me about 20 min earlier at 9528526698 telling me i won the $500 giftcard, then asked if i had a credit card or bank account which i dont, only have a prepay debit card. Told me that was fine that they just needed the info to send my giftcard and told me id be recieving it sometime within the next 30 days. When they called me from this number (6724) they were offering me identity theft protection and life insurance and asked for my debit card number. I told them i didnt feel comfortable giving that info and they said ok sorry to bother you and have a nice. kinda smells like a scam im not sure though. They were very polite though

So was it legit? b/c i just received the phone call today.  were there any hidden charges?

I received this call as well.  I was told I won a $500 online gift card and when I turned down the 5 magazines I get for free it just costs me $17.00/month in S&H..they told me that is fine I still qualify for the gift card and someone from their promotions department would be calling me.

they wanted to give you a $500 gift card for registering for online surveys. it isnt a scam because it happened to me wednesday....two days ago. you just have to pay $14.90 over the phone for shipping with ur debit or credit card. i dont know who they are...just know what they are offering.
