carhop, somehow got my number.  calling 1-2 times per day for weeks now. they wont stop! i emailed and called number back and asked them to remove me from their list. no avail.

It's from Car Hop. They're based in Minnesota. I got a car from there and I never will again. They're shady about stuff. A friend of mine bought a car there and put me down as a reference. Every time she is late with her payment they call me to ask if I know where she is. Most of the time they don't leave messages. I'm never late with my payments, I only bought a car through them cause I had no trade in and no down payment. I tell them every month to stop calling me unless they need to speak to me about my account. If my friend can't pay her bills that's on her, not me.

If they're calling you it's probably because someone you know got a car through there and they put you down as a reference. You have to put down 10 (!!!) references so they can annoy the crap out of them =(

Yeah they keep calling everyday around noon.  I've never dealt with Carhop and they do not leave a message.

Somebody from this number rang my mobile this morning between 10 and 11 CDT.  They did not leave a message.  Having read the above posts I see this is from that carhop place.  I am unable to drive and have never had or owned a driver's license or a car respectively.  I have only had this number about 5 months and have received a number of calls regarding "Carman" several personal business type calls, calls from collectors looking to be paid and a large assortment of people who leave no message. I can only assume that this carhop place either is A. looking to gain her business or B. she has neglected to pay them and they are looking to collect.   I am very glad that this site is here as it has provided loads of answers to strange numbers that come in for either my feeance or I. :-)

Not really.  Might work.  On the other hand, you don't know who you're dealing with and what they will do with any info you give them.

If you do call and ask to be put on their internal DNC, do not give them any info other than your phone #.

If you have received a call from this number, just call 800-662-2746 and ask them to put you on the do not call list, and also to take you off of their e-mail list. It's that simple.
