Yes, I posted that I was looking for a job, and within 10 minutes I had 3 phone calls from people wanting to know personal information, that was clearly visible on the resume I posted! I think they're just "phishing"---seeing how much information you'll voluntarily give up, even innocuous info like how long you were at your last job, and then they go in for the "big kill;" which is designed to get your social and bank account numbers. Do NOT fall for it! They know you're down and desperate to find a job and so they take advantage of that fact to promise you the world, but trust me, even if your bank account is in the negatives, they can still use your personal info to get a home loan or line of credit and screw you into the next millenium! OOPS! Just got another call, and when I answered but didn't say a word, they hung up. Do yourselves (and your children) a favor, and get on the NATIONAL DO NOT CALL REGISTRY: 1-888-382-1222 and follow the simple instructions. Then if/when you are harassed, call them back with the phone # of who called you and at least you'll be protected from some nameless institution vulturizing what little savings you have left.

I had a similar call today. A man called me saying he was following up because I had posted job search information on findtherightjob and he was just following up. He asked me if my email and phone were correct and then wanted to know what sort of jobs I was seeking. When I asked why it was necessary to follow up on this because the job postings were already being emailed to me, he abruptly hung up.
What is this about?
954-278-3515 is the number he called from

a young lady called and asked that she had seen my post for a job. When I told her I was retired and only looking for seasonal work she abruptly hung up on me.
