Same old recording that used to give the name of "Amy." Now 'she' doesn't give a name. Notice how 'she' says "there are no problems with your current credit card accounts." That is to keep you from calling your credit card companies, who will alert you that this is a scam. So of course 'she' doesn't want them involved. The current offering. according to 'her' is an interest rate of 6.9%; 'she' used to say something like 3.1%. This is likely a SPOOFED NUMBER, as this same recording comes from many spoofed numbers. Notice 'she' gives a legitimate TOLLFREE NUMBER to call back to. That way they don't get in trouble for using a spoofed number, which is ILLEGAL. Other times no tollfree number is given, (which is tr
traceable). 'She' just asks you to press a certain number on your phone pad to speak to a representative. DON'T FALL FOR THIS! THEY WANT YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO SO THEY CAN COMMIT FRAUD.

They called before with different numbers, and the mess starts all over again. very unintelligent people when you let them no you don't want anything or just hang up on them or don't answer at all for tons of these calls they still call.
jay28 2012-09-11 14:06:35 Unknown
Excellent advice also include if you can time of call, date of call, anyone you talked to and as much information as you can. That really helps.

The FCC has rules regarding spoofing (like criminals follow rules): http://www.fcc.gov/guides/caller-id-and-spoofing, Why would anyone who is not up to no good have to spoof the number/name they are calling from? Someone figured they can make money from it and started a business to enable criminals and, since they KNOW it is wrong, they have bought and paid politicians for the right to offer criminals the ability to screw people. Does anyone really believe that law enforcement would need to use commercial spoofing as can be obtained online in order to get the job done? BS!!!!!
Write your senator, congressman, attorney general, etc. and start DEMANDING that this type of business be shut down due to the concealment. No one who needs spoofing unless they want to deceive, cheat and steal. WE ARE ENTITLED TO OUR PRIVACY AND THIS TYPE OF BUSINESS ALLOWS OTHERS TO INVADE THAT PRIVACY.
Google "spoof your phone number" and you will find that this service is available for land line phones as well as mobile phones and there are even videos on YouTube and instructions on eHow on how to do it.

Telemarketing call from a credit card percentage rate scammer. Complaint filed with the FTC Do Not Call list, for all the good that does.
Anon 2012-09-08 20:18:26 Unknown
And just where and to whom would you send a bill? The FCC can't catch these scumbags, so how do you propose to get reimbursed for them tying up your line?

"This is Rachel from cardholder services," etc. etc. I got the same identical call from the same number exactly one month ago. They must be going through their autodial routing again. This time I'm annoyed enough to use one of my precious Panasonic blocks.

Has anyone noticed that if you narrow in on the map at the website shown below that the number is associated with the Broward County Jail in downtown Fort Lauderdale?

I have been in the Do Not Call Registry ever since it started. I have received so many calls from credit Card Services I could scream. I have asked them to stop calling, they hang up and call again. I have received these calls 3 times a day. I filed complaints out the a$$ with Do Not Call, nothing is done. I called DNC on them and was told their is nothing they can do. I just don't answer out of area calls anymore. They spoof their calls making it look like they are different callers.

Call received from this number, though they said it was another number if wanted to call back. Unsolicited call, lots of call center noise in background.
general confusion 2012-09-01 15:27:18 Unknown
I also save scammers numbers under the name "telemarket" and have set the ringer for this caller to "silent". I just know I have missed a call! My own 'do not call' solution.

It's been a busy 48 hours, I've gotten 9 calls from scumbags, several of the numbers are new to me:
877-202-5429 @ 2012-08-29 07:19pm - TOLL FREE
623-335-2437 @ 2012-08-30 09:14am - No Caller ID Name
877-202-5429 @ 2012-08-30 01:18pm - TOLL FREE
954-278-8356 @ 2012-08-30 02:39pm - CARD SERVICES (new number for me)
623-335-2437 @ 2012-08-30 07:37pm - No Caller ID Name
203-907-4710 @ 2012-08-31 12:49pm - HEALTH CARE (new number for me)
206-496-0411 @ 2012-08-31 01:58pm - DE SERV COM (new number for me)
623-335-2437 @ 2012-08-31 02:34pm - No Caller ID Name
206-496-0929 @ 2012-08-31 04:46pm - WINNER (new number for me)
I suspect these are all part of the same scam organization that has been calling me constantly from a variety of numbers for over five months now, more detail and numbers in my posts here:

YOU CAN ALSO SEND THESE PEOPLE A BILL FOR THE TIME THEY HAVE TIED UP YOUR PRIVATE SUBSCRIBER LINE PREVENTING YOU FROM MAKING OUTGOING CALLS AND THEREFORE DEPRIVING YOU OF THE ABILITY TO CONTACT EMERGENCY AND OTHER VITAL SERVICES. IMAGINE PICKING UP THE PHONE TO CALL 911 AND HEARING A VOICE ON THE LINE TELLING YOU HOW YOU CAN GET A FREE CREDIT CARD. NOW YOU HAVE TO HANG UP, WAIT FOR THE LINE TO CLEAR AND PROVIDE A DIAL TONE BEFORE YOU CAN DIAL 911 AGAIN. THERE IS NOTHING TO KEEP AND AUTOMATED SYSTEM FROM OPERATING FASTER THAN YOU CAN AND CONTINUING TO TIE UP YOUR LINE AND KEEP YOU FROM GETTING A DIAL TONE.

So sick of this... they left a message, want to lower my interest rate. What a waste of my time.
Doug 2012-08-31 00:48:35 Unknown
With the Patriot Act the government can anything they want. There is no way in the world these calls can't be traced! It's the Republicans and Corporate Democrats that are controlled by the Corporations that allow this to continue for decades!
Allysyn 2012-08-30 19:09:07 Telemarketer
"Card Services" AGAIN! Of course, when I see that on the caller ID I never answer. It's like they know I'm not going to, and give up after only 2 or 3 rings. Why don't they just dummy up and quit calling me? They've been calling for months, and I've never answered, and never will! Idiots!
Sioux 2012-08-30 18:05:57 Telemarketer
I have received many calls from this company wanted to lower my interest rates on cr/card. I have keyed in many times that I do NOT want to be called. What do I have to do to stop this harassment?

Received call from 954-278-8356 and the Caller ID says "V08291227170046". Recorded message says "This is Rachel from Cardholder Services...". I hung up and will file complaint with DoNotCall registry. I did not answer another call last week from same/similar number and caller left NO voicemail.

Someone from this number called and didn't say anything. They were asked not to call my number again. I am on a no call list.
