Hot sounding woman called and left me a message. I called back, and it was in regards to a debt I owned. I told her: I would pay, if she sent me a picture of her Va**na. She then hung up the phone.

my phone never rung. but, there was a missed call from a 954-376-3692. she said her name was Sarah, and I needed to call her back. I very nice woman told me I took out a payday loan back in April of 2013. that was last year you know. She said it was a loan I got through my work.  I told her I never got a loan in the past 6 years. I told her to mail the information. she wanted me to fill out some paper work and fax it to her. I told her I needed the paper work to fill out.  she asked, what paper work? I told her to mail it to me and hung up.  this is the same woman that use to call last year threating  me under a different company. They just keep changing it to confuse people. LOTS and LOTS of double talk.

CKS called from (954) 376-3692 FL, US looking for a lady that had my cell number in the past.
I informed them I was not her, she was no longer at this number, i have no idea who she is, good luck tracking her down, and said the magic words, "please remove my phone number and information from your database and put me put on your DO NOT CALL LIST, indefinetely. Any further calls will be included in a complaint to the FCC." And i very nicely ended the call and wished the lady on the other end a nice day.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Just received a call from this company.  The female on the other end was very nice.  She told me about a debt that I "supposedly"  owed.  I told her I would be more than happy to address it, but asked her to mail me the paperwork.  She then stated that she couldn't guarantee that my "file" would still be there by the time I got paperwork.  In other words I should go ahead and make payment arrangements before the "file" gets pulled and marked with a refusal to pay.  When I questioned her about it, and about it being part of FDCA that they mail me paperwork on a debt they were attempting to collect she then wanted to know if they could fax or email paperwork.  Again stating that she couldn't be sure my file would still be there.  Basically sounded like they don't want to spend the money to mail things and if it costs them money will simply ship the file off with a refusal to pay.

I have people calling me, for a person with the same name, who used to live in my town, now they google the guy's name and my info comes up, and once you square it with one of these scum bags, they sell it to another, and it just goes on and on.  I not only get phone calls for this guy, I also receive his bills in the mail, to include his child support invoices, collection agencies, and even correspondence from the IRS.  However, its the phone calls that bother me the most, they call at all hours of the day and night.

I have found the answer to all these annoying calls, it's called the Call Blocker, and it works great. I was looking for the solution to these phone calls, for years, and this is the best solution I have found yet. I bought mine on ebay, and it works like a champ.

Here is a link with the description for the Call Blocker.

No, I don't sell them, or have any affiliation with them; I just know this thing works.

This is CKS Financial and they are calling to collect on debts.  The guy I spoke with today, 07/23/2013, was very polite, told me up front the name of his company and what they do, and when I explained they had the wrong phone number he removed it from their database.

Latest in a long series of different names calling from different numbers with the same basic scam. They have "paperwork" or "a matter" that they either want my input on or want to bring to my attention, yet they never say who they want or what company they represent. All in all, very suspicious and unprofessional behavior, even for debt collectors or telemarketers.

I tracked down a company, CKS Financial, that is known for doing this, and strongly suspect it's them. I'm considering sending them a cease and desist letter, but for the moment, I find their desperation amusing. If they have my phone number, they should have my address, and they can MAIL me the damn paperwork if it's so all fired important. Guess they don't want to leave a paper trail if they can help it.

This is certainly a scam, I finally called back after getting annoyed with them calling me repeatedly! They refused to tell me what company it was until I told them my information, if you are not going to tell me who you are there is CERTAINLY NO WAY YOU GET MY INFORMATION. Now only if I could get them to stopping leaving messages. I wouldn't tell them my info so they hung up on me, not how a respectable company would act.

Yup, she said she just received my paperwork, and needed to go over some things. They must be really disorganized.... They didn't have any of my info. I had to give them, my name,my SSI number, my checking and routing number and my Moms Maiden name.

Good thing I called back, they didn't have any of my info. I wish I remembered to ask who they were

A robotic caller left a message that identified themselves as Jackie Nearman (spelled the way it sounds) and states that they just started a file that needs me to call back.  Have no idea what this is about.  Other sites say it's a phishing call.
