I got a "Final Notice" in the mail offering me a vacation package worth $1049 for Orlando.  All I have to do is call to make my reservation and if I do it soon (haha), I'll get a $100 dining card.  There's a "check" attached with the address 6545 Nova Drive, Suite 200, Davie, FL.  Maybe I'll go by there some day and see what's up.

I got this letter as well with the free tablet. After doing some research on:

I found the tech administrator to be Ken Snedecor.
I then found a profile for a Charles Ken Snedecor that lives 5 miles from head quarters on:

http://radaris.com/~Charles-Snedecor/164934573

From the first link, I scrolled all the way to the bottom and saw related sites. I noticed ucctops.com and ucctops is the server for the email of the tech administrator. I clicked the link and found the website administrator to be Thomas Selby. After searching "Thomas Selby direct buy" in google, it was confirmed he is the administrator of Direct Buy.

After further investigation, A search of  Thomas Selby in Illinois on white pages yielded 4 results.

From the previous search in google it was found he graduated college in 1995 which led to me estimate his age to be around early 40's. This matched one of the results on the white pages website.

Not 100% sure the actual people in charge of Direct Buy are represented in the links are accurate, but if they are, its only right we know their names, addresses, and phone numbers, as do they of ours.

this latter just came in the mail saying Congratulations  our promotional department shows that you have been awarded a new 7" touchscreen android 4.0 tablet with wifi usb and camra  our records indicate that by responding within 48 hours you will also receive a $100 restaurant dining card
then it gives me a voucher number and a phone number (954)449-9208 with no return address and not telling me what promotional department this is or where they even got any of my information to send me this garbage also theres a pic of a table and  hours to contact them by such as monday -thursday 2pm to 9 pm i dont know any company that opens that late in the day ... then theres a fake check that i guess looks nice saying roughly the same thing and stating that it isnt a real check i hope this helps people this is a scam and i hope someone puts a end to all of this thank you

I got the same letter as everyone else...ofcourse I wont be calling thaks to you all. I Love this website...it saves everyone from getting scammed and wasting our time.

This is a SCAM, they will record your data as a participant and sell that info to anybody that wants to sell you or collect from you...specially creditors and collection agencies. As far as the tablet?..I don't think the risk is worth..

I called the number blocking it so the don't trace it.  Got an answering machine telling me to leave my name and contact number they would then contact me with 15 min.

Thie was for the mail offering a tablet and 100.00 restaurant.

I guess I am on some kinda of list. I did not bother calling the number but it's probably Direct Buy. They have tried different ways to get me into their show room. The last mailing I had they were desperate for me to come, but when I said I could not make their meeting offering, they were completelly inflexible in rescheduling and said I would not be eligible for the offer if I could not make it.  I told them "Great, now stop bothering me".  Well that lasted all of 3 months.

Got the same offer 7" tablet and $100 restaurant treat. Final notice and need to call this number.
Not falling for this scam.

The problem I have with this letter is that it does not have a company name. There is no way of tracing it... I feel this is a scam. I will not call them.

Got an offer back in Spring; called but busy and did not call back! now got a new offer, same as Mack; will trash that paper! but had to check who had that number!

Received information in mail that I won New Android Touchpad Tablet and $100. gift ceritifcate.  There was no return address or company name, just this phone number to contact to claim the items.

I got the something. I'm not calling them!

Funny it says that I (they have my name correct) have been awarded a new 7" Tablet...., but one of the  restrictions is that I have to be employed full time.

It is probably a Time-share deal.
