Just recieved a call from tihs numberon my cell.  Did not answer phone due to not knowing the area code.

Total scam stay away from this BS promotion they want credit card and bank info to steal your money from you be aware of these con artists.

This number keeps calling my cell phone.  I won't answer a number that I don't recognize.  Obviously a total scam.

Receive calls daily and sometimes twice daily. Caller ID indicates American Getaway.

received three calls from this number no voice mail.

Offered me a "free trip" to Florida Universal Studios- You have to pay all taxes ETC... VERY pushy and called repeatedly.  DO NOT ANSWER!!

Just got a call saying we won a free getaway to Universal Studios, only had to pay taxes on 2 people for $199 each. Entered a sweepstakes drawing at a local Outdoor Expo. Wanted our credit card expiration date, told them no, not over the phone, very pushy and consisitent. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFO!

They have been call me every evening for several nights now.  I don't answer, caller ID says Florida.
After reading all of the above comments I think I will answer with "You have reached Universal Studios this is Mrs Hines Speaking"  I will offer them a trip to lovely downtown Germantown, Md and ask for their credit card info.  Wonder what will happen.  Thank GOD for Caller ID!

I have had several calls from this number and they never leave a message. Thanks for the information everyone. I have blocked the number from my cell phone.

He just called me and i called him back Uruk the line was no longer busy. In a nice deep voice I said mr Hines you won a vacation he laughed. Total scamMer and beware

Got the same thing you all got....today, 23 Aug 2010...same names, everything.  When I wouldnt give him my credit card he got mad for questioning his integrity and hung up...HA!!!!  I might have been born at night but it wasnt last night!

this number has been calling my cell phone for past couple of days, at ALL hours. I don't answer a number I don't recognize or don't have entered as a contact.

When I have tried to call back the number I get a recording saying that number in not in service!

I got the call from Kevin and they said I won a trip to Orlando if I pay the $199 per person tax fee for the free trip.  I asked him to mail me the info and he said I had to pay the tax fee or I would lose my winnings.  Sounded like a scam for sure.  He did not want to give up, but he said he got my name from a drawing I entered and I was one out of 2,000 that one.  Funny thing 30 mins later my woman got the SAME call (WE both gave our phone number in the drawing) and said she won the same trip!  Sound like a Scam for sure, thanks for the conformation.

My wife got a call from "Universal Studios" promo dept saying we won a free 5 day vacation all we need to do is pay the taxes. We decide to go ahead with it and pay the taxes (Don't ask why it said SCAM all over it). After getting off the phone I started to do some research and found that it most likely was a scam. So I called Kevin Scheidel back and someone told me he was busy and would no be able to talk to me. They switched me over to Mike Portman and he told me it was NON-Refundable I told him when I spoke with Kevin Sceidel he said we had 30 days to cancel. We went back and forth about no being able to get a refund. It?s my word against Kevins. I told him if he couldn't give me a refund I wanted to talk to someone who could. He told me he was GOD there and there was no one else I could talk with and he hung up on me. I called my credit card company and placed a dispute on the charge and also filed a complaint with the BBB. I?m hoping I can get a refund or I?m out $398. The email address I received my confirmation # from was Promotions Desk americangetaway2@comcast.net. There address comes up as 954 W Hallandale Beach BlvdHallandale Beach,FL33009 The 800 number they gave me to call back was 800-805-5778. Also they mentioned something about bluegreen travel PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THIS!!!!

I received the same call last night.  And they have been trying to call several times.  Said I had won the package described in this comment log.  When I said I needed to verify who they were, they got angry and said I would miss out if I didn't give them my credit card information immediately.  I hung up.  Be wary of these people.  They said that I'd completed a form at the Fisherman's Festival in Boston (which I had) BUT it was a Royal Carribean Cruise Line offer.

This number calls several times a day.  They do not leave a message.  When I have tried to return their call, the line is always busy.  Very annoying!

My wife answered the phone before putting it on speaker so I didn't catch the name but exactly the same M.O.  After we weren't getting as excited as he hoped he "transfered" us to another guy (called himself Kevin something or other) doubled the offer and kept rambling on and on about how Universal is a huge name and they're working on a 4th Shrek movie.  I googled his number and found this site while I was still on the phone with him.  When I mentioned this sounded like a scam and that I looked up his number he hung up on me.

Got 4 phone calls on my cell phone from this number today. No messages, but they keep calling. Not sure what they want from me...but THEY BETTER STOP!!

Persistent calls from Mr. Hines until I answered. Said I had won a huge vacation package at a 90% discount....just needed my visa or mastercard number to charge the discounted price and book the trip.  When he couldn't close the deal, he passed me off the some other guy. Said I had to pay right then. Wouldn't give me the opportunity to verify the legitimacy of the offer.  Just wanted to keep telling me stuff about how they are regulated as proof that the offer was credible.

Keeps, calling, I said my wife was not available and asked who it was and they wouldn't give me their info and hung up.

Got a call from this number (954-457-0617).  THey did not leave a message, and I did not answer.

As of yesterday 4/30/08 I have stared to receive these calls and I would like them to stop. They are tarting to call my cell phone, and I have never received telephone solicitations on my cell phone. I want these calls to stop.........

suspicious call person had my correct last name and address, home phone, wrong first name, called himself mr hines from universal studios,,hung up when i told him wrong first name.How did he get my number and why...?

male, middle age, north east coast accent called asked for wrong first name, correct last name , said he was from universal studios orlando, and asked it wrong first name had been in orlando zoo,,,?? Had my correct home phone number and address.
" ??? Hines" was the callers name. After call I called back number on caller ID,,, busy. Reverse phone look up traced to BellSouth customer land line Getawa American of Hollywood FL,, no other information.
