Got a call from this number, proof again that the government "Do Not Call List" is as big a joke as the rest of the government, and people think they should run health care too??????????????  Idiots

We are getting calls from this number several times in the last several days. We are a business that handles emergency calls and the phone number the calls are coming into is unlisted and on the Do Not Call Registry. This is not acceptable. But I have not been able to track down where exactly the calls are coming from .

I received a call to my home in new mexico from a greenvox telco with a man who had a foreign accent. He told me I had won a grant in the amount of 150,000 dollars and I just needed to get a cashier's check in the amount of 150 dollars to claim it. I was told to have the check ready for pickup that day at 3:00 or 3:30. I hung up on him after telling him I didn't have the money and five minutes later he called back and I hung up on him again. Called the police afterward to make a report.

This guy calls caller ID said Greenvox Teleco 954-497-4793 says I won 200.00 in free gas, good it any gas station .He then asked where I buy my gas, I said oh Shell or Chevron,he said does'nt mater any gas station was fine, cool I said then he wanted my SS# I asked how he got my phone number, he said had I ever swiped a card at fred-meyer or wall-mart! I said yes, he said thats how!  I said I don't need any free gas, thanks,(yes I was polite to him)I said please don't call me any more thanks good-by. He called back before one min. And said its no big deal on giving my SS# to him, that its 200.00 of free gas.I said don't call me back or I'll turn you in to the Attorney Generials Office here in AK. and hung up. The calls are every day now, two times a day, rings two times, no ones their, or hangs up. This is phone harassment.Is'nt this "defamation of a business name by association"? I can't be the only one that asked how they got my phone number!! the number's are all 954=Fort Lauderdale FL.@ 486-6194,481-1971,714-4505,468-6205,731-4461 this last one was yesterday 02-24-10 @5:27pm AK.Time

feb. 24... my caller ID say greenvox telecom 954-484-1971...I called back and got busy tone.

I got two calls in a row from the 954 boys. The first was 954-731-2447 for Unique Footwear. I answered and when no one replied immediately, I hung up. One minute later I got a call from 954-486-7110 OGI Telecom Cor. I just let answering machine take that one. No one there either. What's going on? Is someone getting their jollies from making random calls to Alaska??

Been getting the same calls at 5AM!!!954-714-4505 and 954-486-9123 One said Azumi Sportswear and the otner Greenvox. They always hang up.

Keep getting calls, freaking ANNOYING!!

I was on the other line when the call came through, it was a call I needed to finish so I Googled Greenvox Teleco when I was done with my call, and I found this site.

Sounds like I dodged a bullet.
They are still calling Alaska.

From what I could see they use 12 numbers associated with this group.

They have been calling me since the first of the year, all 954 exchange numbers.

Always a single ring or when answered nothing then a disconnect.

I called back tonights latest and it rang and rang for 5 minutes before I quit.

I was searching the internet for information regarding phone calls I received from Dyanmic Gutters, DW Bus Corp, and Unique Footware. This is what I found on another website regarding Reverse Phone # lookup. This was a person's comment on these numbers and company's names.

"This phone number is what shows up on caller ID when someone is calling you with Magic Jack. I just tested my own magic jack phone thing on my computer. I called myself from my computer using the magic jack thing, made the call to my house phone and this is the number that came up on the caller id: 954-676-3831 Gutter Dynamic. Magic jack is a legit phone service where you make free long distance calls to anywhere in the USA from your computer, no matter where you are. Of course anyone could be using it for their own different reasons, but mostly I think it is legit for people to use in their personal lives. I do not know why that is what the caller ID shows, but it is what it is. Google magicjack.com you will see what I mean. It could be they have many numbers that will show up on the caller ID when someone calls you from a magic jack phone on a computer. I use it to call family out of state and just now decided to test it and see what it showed on the caller ID when I call them. Hope this helps."

This is obviously not just one person, probably numerous unrelated people using Magic Jack since numbers can't be tracked to scam, sell, and etc. On another note, some of these calls might be legit users of Magic Jack.

Saturday, 23JAN2010 -- Call from 954-486-7469 Left message. Sound was poor, but she said my name and said they were calling about my baby and said I needed to come down and take care of my baby, that she was filing for child support and loved me.

Oh Hell no the FCC won't do S$^$&!!!! They say they are not violating any laws of the fair telemarketing act. Even though I told them I was on the Do Not Call Registry. I am so heated, they keep calling and calling and calling. One day they say I won $1.2 million dollars, the next they say I won 2.5 million dollars. Because as we Alaskan's know, we win millions of dollars everyday right? I am with ATT and can't figure out how to block numbers. Any help with that note is appreciated.

received call from 954-486-6205, I let my answeing machine pick up call, when call was answered it made my phone make an outgoing call (herd ring tones, and someone answering)then they hung up.

Got my first one on the 12 of Jan @ 10:26 in Eagle River Alaska.  It came up as OGI Telecom.  number 954 486-7110.  I did not answer due to caller ID and I did not know the number.  I decided to Google the company and I found this website and decided to read it.  I am glad so now I can give them a piece of my mind.

I am glad that I read this.  I am in eagle river Alaska and just started to get these calls on my caller ID as 954-486-7110.  I haven't answered it yet due to I have know idea who this number belongs to so I just let it ring.  I just decided to look this company up on the internet and found this web page out and decided to look at it.  I am glad I read this now.   Now when they call me back I can give them a piece of my mind.  They really do think Alaskans are stupid, but were are not.

Another early am phone call from 954-486-6205. A male left a broken up message with broken English which I thankfully could not understand. However, this person called my office line. Most often when I am requested to give a number when signing up for generic this or that I give my fax number. Nothing like a fax squeal early in the am for those telemarketers who paid money for my info from a list. Makes me a bit giddy to think of those poor saps dialing a squeal. Alaskans are savy...not simple!

Receiving calls in Alaska on cell phone from 954-677-3469, 954-485-4932, 954-485-2243. More of the same calls as above.  Different twist with too many numbers at the same time 639083831878 and 380445862888. No name on any of them.

Also in Alaska. been recieving calls from the same number, finally decided to answer and it was my mother back in the lower 48.  For some reason it was showing as Greenvox.  I don't know why.  Also have been recieving calls from Uniq Footwear 954-717-2297.  For some reason the calls from my family in the lower 48 are coming up with these crazy numbers.  If you get them, it may be in your best intrest to screen  the call with an answering machine or call family members after getting these calls.

I received a call from 954-486-7573 on January 3rd, 2010 at 8:15 am, a woman was asking for my husband, I asked her if she knew what time it was on a Sunday morning, and where she was calling from.  She said she thought she was calling Seattle, and seemed surprised to be calling Alaska.  The caller ID reads Gutter Dynamic.  Thank you for this website and the information provided about this scam.

received a call at 8:00 am this morning from dw bus corp.  so they are hitting other states.  Rang once then they hung up, no message.

Also from AK-Called saying he was with Publishers Clearing House and said I won $85,000. All I had to do was call 18764290418 which he claimed was in Las Vegas NV. He claimed that I would have to pay a Federal Marshal $150 to certify I was myself and the prize money was legit. I heard dogs barking in the background and I asked about them and he said they were guard dogs. We hung up under the impression that I would call the number. I didn't and after about 2 mins he called back asking why I hadn't called. After the 8th phone call the wife got on the phone and the individual hasn't called back.

I received this call about 30 minutes ago, it rang three times and when my mom tried to answer no one talked back, i tried calling the number back, because a number like that is just odd to us, it was and has been ever since, I've read on here that most of the people posting are in Alaska, I live in Kentucky, so they must being hitting different states now.

I am also in Alaska,  I keep blocking the numbers olny to recieve a call from a diffrent number.  Some of these numbers are linked to elderly people in Florida, and some are linked to homes that are for sale, and lastley one was linked to Bank Of America. I don't know what to do.
