Received a call from UPC Collection Agency

These people called my in-laws and wanted them to give  them my number.  If they want to get ahold of me they have my number.  Do not think it is right that they bother other people.  they are very rude if u ask me.  If I have a debt problem then it is my business nobody else..  I think they should be investigated by the better business bureau.  And to call u and ask about your neighbor what the H@!!.  

USB called looking for my neighbor.  They even said her address and name (although, her name wrong).  Said haven't seen her for a while.  Thought it was quite strange.

You must work for them.. geez.

A woman called herself Ms Morales said my daughter in law was workiing on something with her and wanted her number, I don't even know how she got my home number more less how they made the connection.

I got a call from this number, it was for my mother.  I had already told all the people she owed money to that she was in nursing home and ALLL here money was going to that!  Sent them all the paper work and they still sent her info to collector now they are call me!!! It is a collection agency.    800-394-7560 is number they gave to call

How do these people get my phone and cell numbers. Call was regarding a relative; not even me.
They ought to be fined.

"you are a telemarketer, and I don't do business with any company that uses telemarketing as a form of advertising" (stolen from a comment on this web site -- I love it).  And do not answer name unavailable ever as calls are now starting to say that often.

Let me explain my idea of robo calls. Each area code has 9,999,999 numbers fyi (7 digits). The program starts calling every number that it can in succession.  So they don't need to buy or obtain lists from anyone.  I am going to copy and paste and post this info for each number that calls me for this web site (9,999,98 numbers more to copy and paste to)

Nothing is going to stop these scammers and lazy collection agencies who call everyone with the same name instead of looking up the right one and all we can do is block them or use call forward selective..  DNC does not work when they are robo dialing all possible random numbers. The authorities can not or will not help either.

So, just block them, don't answer unknown calls, and continue using this great site for information to be in control of your own home and cell phone calls.  If it turns out that you did not answer a call from someone you know (number not on this site), just call them back.  No problem.  Its alot of work that I do (checking the number on this web site, blocking the caller, and making my own excel spreadsheet of numbers) but at least I FEEL like I have a little control of the situation. Maybe I'm delusional.

2nd time this number has called.  They left no message and I refuse to answer unknown numbers.  I'm on the no not call registry....what a joke that has turned out to be!!   Just another database to be hacked/bought/sold to get numbers of folks who want to be left alone!

Call from 954-538-7530 woke me up at 8am wanting to know if I could verify my neighbor's name, address, etc. Told them I wasn't going to answer their question, then hung up. Hell, neighbor is in the phone book and isn't hiding out. I'm not getting involved in whatever that was.

calle asking for an ex husband of a relative. They are sneaky. I think it is there way to get you to answer the call.

They called this am at 8 stating on the answering machine they were looking for my neighbor, when I picked up and turned the machine off they said they were looking for my brother in law which we do not talk to. They mention your neighbor only to get you to pick up.

this company is a collection agency asking for information on our neighbor.  Left message on our voive mail.

This number called left a message said they are UCB and new my full name and said they were looking to locate my relative, which past away 10 years ago, and they left a 1-800-394-7560 call back number ext. 8513
I know if i call them they are going to try and make me pay for what my relative did or didn't do way back then so im not answering, they can wast there time calling.

They called looking for my ex-wife a week ago. We have been divorced for 20 years and I have no idea where she is. Then they called again looking for her husband. I have lived in 3 different states since that divorce. These people do their homework.

They just called me. They left a message, wanting me to call them back about my neighbor.

This call is from a debt collector. Two to three times a day calls seem to me is harrasment.  Please make them stop.

no not really I just got a call today from UCB didnt answer the phone I let my answering machine pick it up n they asked for my sisters ex mother-in-law to call them back I just got this number n my sisters ex mother-in-law has never lived here and her last name is of course different from mine but now their gonna call her son my ex brother-in-law i called them and gave them his number only because I think their the ones that gave out my number to UCB pretending it was his mothers number

Called and left a message asking about my father who passed away 9 months ago...my number is unlisted and I am on do not call registry as well..

I just received a message from this same phone number for my sister (with a different last name than mine). It was from Crystal at the office of UCB. She gave a claim number twice and a number to call back (1-800-394-7560 x88560) and her office hours (8am to 9pm est).  It seems very strange given the fact that my sister and I do not share the same last name nor has she ever had my same phone number. I assume it's a debt collector but would like to make sure it's not a scam.

Do not give any information to these people it may be a scam to get your money why would they call a relative anyways it has nothing to do with it especialy if you dont know who they are reffering to. Beware of USB

Someone named Betty called said she was from UCB and was trying to find a Wilfred Coronelle who is my husband's former father-in-law. If they were trying to fool us into calling back, why use someone who is now far removed from us, especially me?! She said to call back if we have any info on his whereabouts...

These people are calling everyone in your family or anyone with the same last name, even when they're not related.

A woman just called here asking for my husband (but I did not let on that he was my husband). She wouldn't tell me what it pertained to, just that she was from UCB. I told her I was not giving out information on anyone and hung up. Unbelievable that they are calling my cell phone when I am on the Do Not Call List. What good is it??

Similar thing just happeded to me.  They called looking for my brother-in-law, whom my husband DOES NOT speak to and hasn't in many years.  They sounded suspicious which was frustrating.  If I knew how to get a hold of him I would LOVE to give them his phone number

Caller was clearly phishing for information. Could not even pronounce my name correctly. When I challenged them to fully identify who they were and what company they were calling from, the guy hung up.

got called sat. morning on my cell. recognized the area code so i picked up. the guy wanted the last 4-digits of my SS to "verify" that he's speaking to the right person.  i asked who i'm talking to, but he would tell me, but kept wanting to "verify" me with other info, like address, name.  after 3 times i asked him who he was, and he wouldn't tell me unless i verify, i hung up politely.
