It's an automated message about a carpet cleaning. This is the second time I've received the call. I've already reported it to the do not call registry. The first time I got the call, though, it was a woman's automated voice. This time it was a man's voice, and it said his name was Dave.

THese people are calling 5 times a day! How can we make them stop?

I just received a call from 954-555-1000 for carpet cleaning.  As I am on the do not call list, I pushed the "1" to make an appointment and to advise that I am on the DNC list. As soon as I started to tell the woman that I am on the list, she hung up on me.  What nerve!!!!

I received a call on 08/29/2007 at 1:45 pm from 954-555-1000. Its caller ID description was ?Florida?. I did not answer it. I also am on the Do Not Call registry. I tried to call back form my cell phone and home phone and it comes up that the number is not validate. They have their real number covered. Be very careful.

I've gotten numerous calls from 954-555-1000.  After the last three calls, (within the past two week period,) I hit *57 and had the call traced. Usually, whenever I do this TWICE, I never even get a third call. If they call again, I call the phone company to find out what action was taken as a result of the trace.

I've had problems with the same carpet cleaning service but the obviously fake number 555 1000 comes up in my local 212 area code.  Once I got through to a woman, told her I was on the DNC registry and to ensure I was taken off.  That worked for a few weeks but it started again.   Now they have a "remove your number" option but that didn't seem to work either.

Have gotten this number at least 10 times in the last month.  Sometimes they leave a message about carpet cleaning, and sometimes not.  I'm very suspicious since the numbers "555" are not valid for the first 3 digits of a phone number anywhere in the US.  It should show their real number and not a false one.  This is why many of you cannot return this call, because there are no real numbers beginning with "555".

I too received a call at 2:56pm on 8/23 from 954-555-1000. I didn't pick up and no message was left.

I received this call, although my number is in the do-not-call registry. It's an automated message by a man called Dave, promoting carpet cleaning services.

When calling back: "Call can not be completed as dialed."
