My son was being pestered by this company over some magazine subscriptions that they nagged him into getting, trying to talk him into signing up for more and more subscriptions. When he tryed to call the number on the caller ID it was an invalid number. The next time that they called he asked for a contact number to call them with and they wouldn't give him one. He we to the bank and was able to get this number, 1-800-476-3053, and canceled the subscriptions. It's now been almost a week and although they haven't refunded his money yet the pestering phone calls have stopped.

Company claims to be associated with Visa and part of a national business. When are we goint to be protected against predators like this.

They just called and wanted to renew my magazine subscription for $4.97/mo.  I never had a magazine subscription!!!!  they acted shocked when I told them that I never got a magazine in the mail.  They claim to be from Magazines of America.

The last few days I have received calls from this number and from 800-476-3053 about subscriptions. The first time they called I thought it was about my subscription for kid's books for my daughter, and that they wanted to ask me if I was satisfied with the books and everything. I was in a bit of a hurry, so I answered "Yes, thank you" and hung up. That was 3-4 days ago, and since that they have called from these two numbers 8-10 times. I don't have time to talk to people about my subscriptions as long as I receive the books and evrything is ok, so I haven't answered. Now that I have looked up these numbers and found out what kind of people they are, the next time I will answer, and maybe give them some of their own medicine. :-p

They have been calling my house ALL day and its now 9:30pm and they are still calling..

they called and i knew that they were calling about the magazine, i have ordered magazines before and they acted like they were the company i ordered from before, so when i verified all information they were telling me that i am paying for the shipping cost. she said that i was going to get some paper work in the mail in two days and i can call the customer service and change things over if i would like. i think they just got me to do another subscription. they already knew that i didn't understand what they was doing and when i ask questions they just repeated everything over again. so i hope i am not stuck with another subscription, i have too many mags as it is....but i am waiting for that number, if anybody want the number get at tonia.dunlap@gmail.com email me and i am more than willingly to give you the number so yall can curse their a$$ out......until next time. i holla.

they just called my business telling me that they wanted to know if I was getting the magazines they sent me.  I explained that I didn't know what they were talking about.  They couldn't tell me what magazines I subscribe to and asked many personal questions I was not comfortable answering, such as what bank I have my checking account with, my exact age, what my profession is and my title, the company I work for.  When I told her I was not interested, she rebuttled.  I explained I was not comfortable.  She said, "you know we are paying for the magazines, you would be just paying for the shipping costs".  When I said I understood, she just hung up.  I never got a name of a company.  This is very shaddy and I am glad I did not give any account information.

SUBSCRIPTION COMPANY HAS UNEDUCATED PEOPLE CALLING & HANGING UP IF THEY AREN'T PERMITTED TO SPEAK W THE PERSON THEY CALLLED FOR.  THEY'RE RUDE AND DON'T DESERVE THE PRIVELIDGE OF MAKING MONEY THIS WAY

They called and ask for my daughter which is very annoying because i don't know where they got this number from and my daughter's name.I am so piss,i asked where they got my daughter's name and they hung up on me.

Called 3/18/08 and was not home. but when we were home it was a pickup hangup.

I've gotten several calls from this number to my business phone. Each time I answer it there is no one on the other end. They call all the time. After seeing all the problems with this number from the posts here I will have it blocked. At least I know it's not a customer of mine. Just harassing calls.

Irritating telemarketer

These people call day and night and just hang up.  When we've answered, told them not to call again, since we can hear someone breathing who doesn't say anything.

They call early - they call late....

They called and verified my name and hung up. I called back and the call didn't go through. I've noticed they've called several times in the past, never leave messages and at many different times of the day and night.

Keeps calling about a magazine subcription i did not sign up for. Whrispers on the phone. asks me stupid questions about the weather here. Says he is in Florida which makes me think he is just trying to bring up my long distance phone bill with all the small talk.And he hangs up as soon as he asks for the person he wants. Or hangs up when he hears a man. He is driving me crazy.

They just called asking for my husband. Any person that is not family or friends calling for anyone in my household, I check up the number on Google or anywhere on the net. I think they're calling cos my husband did one or a few of those survey offers online. This is the first call, and I'm hoping that will be the last.

They call to very my information to some magazine i thought they were the Game informer people right after i verify my card number they charge me $57 and change i told them i didn't want to be charged and i didn't want to renew my subscription now. then she told me the charge would clear of in 24 hours and that she would remove me of their call list.For her and her company's sake i hope she's right.

These people called to find out about my subscriptions that they sent to me.  I haven't gotten anything. Rep. said she would take me off the list and send me the 800 number to stop the service great. Not only do I get a ton of Spam emails, I have to get it from my physical mailbox too!!!!!

They call very late and I have kids that are trying to sleep.  When you call back it doesn't go through. I have answered before and they don't say anything.

I initially went to freelaptopnation.com with hopes of getting a "free" computer. Once I realized the requirements, I changed my mind. One has to sign up for multiple offers. I had a bad feeling about signing up for the offers and didn't like any of the magazine choices so I didn't submit my CC# info and went about my business. Now my phone is ringing throughout the day from about 7 different numbers. I don't answer and no message is left. I'm so sorry that I even went on the site. If it sounds to good to be true, be suspicious!
