I've read various cpmments from others that have been called and have concluded it is most likely the SCAM requesting $$ for families of fallen troopers, police officers and.or firemen

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM!!!!!  None of the above actively do phone soliciting\!  This can be verified by contacting your local state troopers, police departments, and firemens union!  Heck. I even contactedd the Georgia Bureau of Investigation lwhen I worked there and got this information.

Never give donations to a stranger who calls you. Might be a scammer. Might be a legit independent fund raiser who keeps 99% for themselves and sends 1% to the charity. Best to donate directly to the charity so they will get 100% of your donation.

wcs called at 7:30pm hung up on machine. those trooper calls are infuriating. i do my part. i pay taxes!

Siad he was with the State Troopers collecting money. I just hung on him and didn't even give him the chance to argue with me considering this is the third time this week he has called me

"David" called me.  We ned a "drone missile" with his address.

To Kailyfooof:  The caller is NOT the sheriff or any legitimate representative thereof.  The Sheriff's department, Fireman, etc. DO NOT make solicitation calls even though the caller represents themselves as such.....My husband is a civil servant (fireman) and I am saddened to see that you believe what they are saying.....and that you think that little of those who make a living putting their lives on the line for you.  Your comment about teachers calling and begging and making less than they do was not what shut him up......The next time one of those turkeys calls you tell them that your family member is a policeman in the department they are calling about and that there is no such organization and you won't even be able to finish your sentence before they hang up.  I am sorry that you have such a low opinion to have believed your local law enforcement agency would stoop so low as to try to scam people under the guise of some kind of charitable organization (no law enforcement agency or public service agency is going to do that) and I hope you will realign your thinking about the same.

it's the sheriff asking for donations.  I'm a young disabled teacher that cannot work anymore, have to live with parents, medications, hospital stays etc.  The guys will NOT stop calling.  They get angry when you say no.  Then I asked if he would contribute to my medical bills.  He had the nerve to tell me I could still give.  I said, "You don't see teachers calling and begging and we make less than you and have a college degree."  That shut him up.

received a call on 3/28/2012 at 8:16pm from this number but didn't answer nor was a message left so when I tried to return the call later the error message was given stating approximately that the system was busy so likely telemarketing/spam

I've asked not to be called, but they still do.

Just as others posted, called during dinner, no msg was left.

They left no msg, and could not reach anyone on that number when I called back. We are on the Do Not Call list.

Caller said he was collecting for Florida Troopers. I was polite and said I was unable to give. He tried to bully me and actually asked why I wouldnt participate when troopers put their life on the line for me. He was rude and a bully and caller ID said, "WCS."

Got a call about 6:30pm CST. They left no message, just hung up right when your phone goes to that annoying noise.
