Call stating they are working with VISA and MASTERCARD to lower credit card interest rates. When you press them for information about WHO exactly they are, etc...they hang up. Per other searches on this number...they are making A LOT of calls to people all over the country often more then once a day and with the same results - they hang up - if you press them for more information about WHO they are and WHAT COMPANY they work for...

We keep receiving calls about reducing our interest rates on credit cards WHICH WE DO NOT HAVE. I hang up each and every time.  Is there a way to stop this annoyance. I have called the "do not call number" and given our telephone numbers but they seem to be above the law.

Everyone, these people are not from a legitimate company. They are part of a criminal ring that is trying to steal your credit card information. That's why they hang up once they think you have nothing to steal. Don't bother being indignant about 'these people.' They don't care, don't have anything even semi-legit to sell/sign you up for and they don't maintain a do not call list.

I have received several calls from 954-726-9818. There is no option on the automated message to be removed from the call list, so pressing 1 gets you to a Rep. The only info they will give you is the bogus company name of "Account Services". When pressed for more information they become combative, rude, insulting, and angry. I caught the guy in 3 lies in a 30 second conversation. I asked for a supervisor only to be told that he would say the same thing. Then he WAS the supervisor, then his supervisor was flying in his jet somewhere on vacation. All along there are no opportunities to be removed from their list. When told that I was on the do not call list he became even more arrogant.

How are these people allowed to get away with this stuff??? I want these calls and scams to STOP NOW!

When you have caller ID , If you don't know the number, don't give them the time of day do not answer the phone, if everyone did this they  would quit calling. its a no brainer

I keep getting calls from this #. I finally took the call the caller asked if I had a Visa or mastercard with a 4000 or more credit limit that was maxed. I told her I had no credit card debt to quit calling and she hung up on me. I tried to call the # back and it says it's disconnected.

call today from the same number advising they can reduce your credit card rate.  As mentioned, they hang up on you as soon as you try to start a conversation, such as I have no credit card debt.  This is similar to the call about renewing the registration on your car, when you have no car.  Again, a hang up if you try to tell them to remove your number from their lists.

Keep getting these call from the number listed in this post.  Reported the number to the donotcall.gov list.  I wonder if Jorge has a number we could all call?

I just got a call from this number at 11:45 am PDT (April 20th). They ansered with "Card Services" and hung up on me as soon as I tried to find out who "Card Services" was. The number is no longer in service when I tried to call them back, so they are obviously not calling from that number. The number to the FTC provided here is not in service either.

Call from credit card coompany.  Have recieved several calls from this number always stating this is my "final notice".  I press #1 and ask for my number to be removed and to never call again (I am on the 'do not call list').  THis person insisted I was a client of theirs and proceeded to make fun of me on the phone, calling me a two year old and hanging up on me.

Yeah, the number you see on color ID doesn't actually exist.  If you call it back, you get the "no longer in service" message.

I chose 1 to speak to a customer rep, and when I asked her why she was calling me when I was on a no-call list, she hung up on me.

Yeah, they want to lower your credit card interest rate. the person you get when you press 1 sounds barely intelligent. when I asked them what my rate and company was, the spiel started! when you ask them questions they get huffy. i told them to take my number off their call list. we'll see how long that lasts!! I like calling Kelly at home at the FTC!! Although I don't think it will do any good since the do not call system has so many loopholes you never know if they are "allowed". Good luck...

This is a call from "your credit card company- we are trying to lower your rates, a courtesy call and we will not call again"

I asked the woman who spoke with me after pressing #1 who she was and if there was any way to verify that she was actually from "my credit card company" I said this sounds like a fraudulent call. She said, "I'm not going to spend all day on the phone confirming this with you." and hung up-thus confierming that it is a fraudulent call. I also checked on this about a month or so ago and was told by VISA/MASTERCARD- who they said they were calling with then that there is no such general calling going on from VISA?MASTERCARD. And not to cooperate with this call. GIVE OUT NO CREDIT CARD info to these people!!!

I have received several calls from this number and every time i ask who they are calling for the hang up on me.  Call is always from FL. I tried calling Kelly at the number listed in the post and it doesn't let the call go through.  Not sure what to do next.  However, this is rude and really irritates me.  I am now on a quest to know who these people are and who exactly do they think they are.  If they are scam artists then the need to go to jail.  Try making phone calls from there!!

They cslled and when I picked up there was the usual telemarketer/war dialer delay so I left the phone to listen to tv. They call wuite often- twice a day- never leave a messege. I have read that they are credit card scammers offering a lower interest rate (I have no credit card debt). FTC does nothing to protect the do not call list. My next step is an air horn to answer with-maybe they won't call back if their ears hurt.

Call Kelly Horne at the FTC SHE is in Charge of the Registry! If making complaints to the registry doesn't work START calling her every time you8 get a call. Maybe she'll get tired of the repeated calls!

Call Kelly Horne 1-202-346-3031

We have been receiving several phone calls from the Florida area.  When a unknown number shows on my ID I let them go to voicemail - but no message is ever left.  So we know it is not important!  Anyway, on this last incident I decided to type the phone number into yahoo search and one of the links it sent me to was intelius white pages which shows the phone being listed to a Jorge Pagani of Pompano Beach, FL 33068 - it also shows the street address, but since I am not sure this information is legitimate I did not want to publish it.

Same story as the poster above (and on the same date: 3/17/09) -- the number showed up on Caller ID, but no message.

Is this a telemarketer?
