Got a call today wanting us to purchase a life insurance policy that would pay out cash for burial expenses. Told the woman that hubby and I are both Veterans and we will be buried in a VA cemetery and that there will be no cost for that. The next sound was dead air then a dial tone. Guess she didn't like what I had to say. LOL!

Caller ID said "Out of Area". Made the mistake of answering, anyway......nothing but silence for a few seconds, then a computerized voice said "Goodbye".

Supposedly "Life Care" wanting to my husband to purchase burial coverage. I lied and told the woman that hubby died 3 years ago. She was speechless for a few seconds, then apologized and hung up. I busted a gut laughing so hard.

Never answer anything "out of area"...get about 50-75 of these calls a week.

I just got a call from this # on caller ID but let machine pick up....they hung up.....Are you all seeing a tremendous increase in these type of calls lately?
