keep getting calls from them saying I owe them money from 1996.  Even if I did owe them money, the bloody statute of limitations runs out after 7 years!  the next time any of you get calls from them, tell them you're reporting them to the FTC.  It's a $10,000 fine every time they harass you once you notify them.

Called Sunday @ 4:30 PM. Portfolio Recovery Assoc. Collections. They had my name but I don't have a credit card account and haven't for 5+ years.

asked for someone else i know...but didn't let them know that i knew who they were asking for.....they didnt give their company name
