Todays date: august 28, 2013. At 4:21pm i also received a text message to my phone from this same phone number. I put up an ad on Kijiji and the person asked if my item is in good condition, if yes then email them at samantha301@outlook.com. i was wondering where the area code was from because i didn't recognize it so i Google the phone number and here i am. The phone number that the text was sent from was 1-956-508-3189.
i will not be responding to this phone number or email address. and i am from central Alberta, Canada...

I have recived the messages via sms from. ladylinda01@outlook.com and mr.nathan morgan from kijiji
ad. I would hope that nobody falls for this.  
This was my response to linda being the second one.
Her phone number is 717-478-8205 on sms. They also say please don't text me back please email me because I am at work.

Due to the nature of my common sense this would be best. Your fridge if purchased would be kept safely in storage where it currently is and I would personally make sure it is loaded and sent to you.

You are the second person with this problem due to the nature of your job.

Makes no sense as to why I would even believe something like this and certainly not twice as the first one did not work either.

So it is unfortunate that people like you may get one to fall for. You should really get a real job like most instead of being a thief. Common sense tells me that if you are smart enough to come up with such a ridiculous story. Maybe you should look at writing fiction novels or something like that.

I would strongly suggest this before you are looking at upgrading your education behind bars. I think that would be best.

Im trying to sell my wedding dress on-line, and was contacted by this person (Linda Bernier, ladylinda01) at that same number.  Wants me to wire money for brokerage etc.  Very unusual, be very cautious.

Samething.... I have an add on kijiji and they sent me a text message saying to e-mail them at ladylinda01@outlook.com for better conversation.   I thought this was weird and googled the number and here I am... thanks to you guys!

Yes I just got the same, reply to a kijjii add and would only pay by paypal. sounded funny so looked up the number and this is what I found. it was email address ladylinda01@outlook.com using the name Linda Bernier

I told her i don't use pay pal this was her response:

I never doubted it was a scammer based on the suspicious phone number so will not waste my time with it.  
I received similar emails from a scammer when I was looking for a used vehicle.  The "car" was local but the seller was in Alaska and wanted me to wire money.   Yeah, right!!

Don't waste your time answering these obviously phony messages.

Just got an email from linda1001@live.com to wire transfer fund for shipping before I could get my funds for an item that they were looking to purchase from Kijiji that I was selling.

It smelled bad!! I have advised payPal and I will now advise Goggle.

I have received a SMS from this number yesterday.  The message told me to give an answer at linda1001@hotmail.  I have searched for this number and it was from Laredo Texas.  I live in Quebec City Canada.  This person have seen a announce to sell something on Kijiji.com.  I don't know if this "Linda" send many messages ???  Thank you.

I got a text from a 956-508-3189 and they said to email at linda1001@outlook.com which I did as they were responding to a kijjii ad I had for a couch. They offered more than I was asking and then when I asked if they were going to pay cash and when they would pick up they did not respond. I looked up the no. and it is somewhere in arizona I believe - so a scan for sure.

I have an ad on Kijiji - Linda Poshe wants to buy my items & insists on paying by Paypal, without looking at anything.   Says she can't leave work, can't use e-transfer, got upset when I requested cash. Got 2 similar texts from 2 differrent odd numbers.

I got the same series of scams from both names and numbers. Anytime I recieve a funky looking text I google the number as all of you do.
I only wish I had what it took to contact these people and tell them to get a real job and stop ripping people off.
Of course we don't know what IP power these people have. I sure would like to meet them in person or find that secret little hid-out office they use. It's not the respinding by text that will ruion your life. It's the fact that you respond to them using your emails and that's where your IP resides. They track your IP of places you visit especially the Facebook scenes and gather information. I heard they gather oinfo and then sit on it for a while. then out of the blue you get hit and no idea where it came from.

I only the police or feds could do follow-up and nab these crookes. Scams are fraud and fruad is a crime.

Same thing here. Just received a text and was asked to email Linda Poshe in regards to my items. Knew this was a total scam, was also told they would send shipper and I'd be paid through paypal.

Thx everyone...I googled this (956) number...and up came all these reports! Yup...Mike you're so right!

Same b***s***. Why would you go on Kijji and incur additional costs in shipping. Kijiji is a place for buying things cheap or at least buying them at the location.  F*** SCAMMERS. Got a sms from this number.

I received a text from someone saying they were Linda Poshe at 956-508-3189 today in response to a painting I am selling on Kijiji. It is definitely a scam. Stay clear.

That's exactly what they tried to do with me. Said they would pay for a kijiji item as soon as I sent money to ship it.

Tried getting me to use PayPal and a shipper to receive a product over kijiji

They are trying to scam me out of money!
