Got a text from +1 (970) 614-5486 asking me to accept a check for an item I had for sale on www.ksl.com classifieds and then asked if they could have a mover pick it up because they currently are at work on the coast as an oceanographer , due to this they will not be able to call and come see the item or do the pick up themselves and pay via cash and they only have access to texting so due to that they will be paying me via check so after the check has been cashed they will have movers come and pick up the item. Messed up that people would scam so much. Whats the point?

Same as above. I was selling on Craigslist and sent identical text with identical situation. So glad I googled the number.

Did you post to Craigslist?  Got text messages from this number and it's a scam.
