I am on Do Not Call list. They called and the tape says that they want to install a free alarm system in my home, if I agree that they put their sign on my lawn. They say press 9 to be removed from the list, but its useless. I pressed one to talk to a live person and when asked for the name of the company, they hangup!!

I filed a complaint online with "DoNotcall Registry"

I looked up your website. It states:
Massive List Database Options (for telemarketing, voice, fax, direct mail, email and other applications)
Sounds guilty to me.  If not directly then indirectly.
Methinks you doth protest too much.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ: There is someone out there attempting to falsely link our company, Marketing Source One to these calls. Let me state this emphatically and unequivocally; Marketing Source One is in no way associated with this phone number. This misguided individual posts under the monikers: "Bull" or "Lee". We don't understand why this individual is attempting to smear our company's good name by blatantly fabricating this false, negative information. We intend to vigorously pursue each of these libelous postings (through all available legal means and regulatory channels) including all individuals who (opt to buy into these falsehoods and perpetuate this individual's smear campaign and) falsely accuse our company of actions for which we have absolutely no association or responsibility whatsoever. Cease and desist from making these libelous postings.

Same as above...recorded message from "LOWER YOUR COST."  Guess the capital letters mean they're shouting at me?  Jack***es.  Didn't waste my time calling back.  Did file a complaint with the Do Not Call folks and in the Comment section asked if they actually do anything to eliminate these types of calls or if they are simply another creation of the government that has no actual purpose in life other than to waste taxpayer dollars. They do seem rather worthless.

THIS IS A SCAM. This is a version of the advance-fee-for-something scam where something is a grant, grant paperwork, business plan, loan, scammed-money refund, lottery winnings, interest rate reduction, tax reduction, gift card, refund, doggie, cruise, vacation, free gas, etc., and the advance-fee is for tax, shipping, registration, insurance, secure handling, processing, etc. They may send you a fake check, may want your credit/debit card or bank account number, or tell you to wire cash via Western Union, Moneygram, etc. They can put recurrent difficult-to-cancel monthly charges or a 1-time charge on your card or bank account, and sell account info to other criminals and you'll have to replace accounts altogether. Wired-cash is irretrievable - once it's picked up at the other end, it's untraceable and gone. If they want you to call them up for instructions, they may tell you not to discuss the wire with Western Union desk clerks but the real reason is WU clerks are familiar with these scams and will warn you not to wire the money. If you give them the WU Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) for the wire, they can pick up the money from anywhere in the world. Report to US Postal Service Inspectors https://postalinspectors.uspis.gov/forms/MailFraudComplaint.aspx , the Federal Communications Commission http://esupport.fcc.gov/complaints.htm , the Federal Trade Commission https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/ and your state AG, as appropriate.

Received call at 4:45 pm November 29 from this number.  I pressed "1" and got a poor connection.  The person then hung up.  I called back and got the message to press "1" to be removed from the call list.  I am betting it has no impact. I have filed many complaints about similar calls with the responsible Federal agency.  Nothing happens.

I was able to trace a similarly spoofed number back to it's origin and I'm betting the same scumbags are using this one too.

I've filed complaints with the IL Attorney General and the national DNC registry. It will only get worse if Congress passes proposed legislation that will allow telemarketers to call cell phones. This piece of trash has been calling mine already using spoofed numbers.

I bet if a candidate took up the cause to get rid of these kinds of calls,...he/she would do good in the polls. I just get the phone number in the caller ID slot. If they don't leave a message and I don't recognize the number then they get blocked by the Panasonic phone. I still think there should be an open season on telemarketers.

I've been getting weekly calls from this number (Card Services) and finally I pressed to speak with a "Friendly Customer Service Agent" to try and get my information removed. After about 20 rings a guy answers and said "So you want to lower your interest rate?" and I said " I just want you to stop calling" and he hangs the phone up without response.

I wouldn't even consider giving this company any of my information just after how long it took for them to answer not to mention the cheesy attempt at a sales pitch.

Got he same call,  pushed one to mention the useless Do Not Call registry, they said when I signed the credit card agreement, I agreed to receive these calls. When I asked what card/bank. he couldn't give that info out. When i said I could guaranty I did not have a card with his company, he said fine he would mark the card as being used fraudulently. When I said I had no credit cards at all, he hung up. Fun

Got 2 calls from Lower Your Cost on 10/19/11 on my Caller ID too and left no message.  When I called back, a female pre-recorded voice said:  "Thank you for calling back."  If you would like to be removed from our promotional list, please press 1 and allow 72 hours to take affect."  The usual unsolicited calls.

Scumbags trying to suck money out of us for no service; much like the government scumbags to whom I have reported the calling scumbags. The difference is the government scumbags ARE sucking money out of us for no service!

Got a call today that was a recording. Reduce all of my credit card interest rate to 6% as long as my total debt was $3000 or more. I did press 1 and got an operator that I threatened to file suit against if they call me again. If you dial the number back you get a recording that says if you do not wish to receive further calls, dial 1 now. I did that also but this auto dial service calls about once a week. Always the same thing.

Caller ID shows Lower Your Cost. The first time, they hung up on my answering machine.  When they called again two day later, I picked up and it was a recording of a lady's voice urgently telling me that they have made several attempts to reach me and this was the last offer I would receive from them offering to lower credit card rates. I'm sure they will call again and again.

jumped out of shower, was expecting another call and what do I get...again "lower your cost" but this time no one there.  And like the above we too are on the do not call list...apparently this registry is a waste of our tax money.

third call from them this week.  today I stayed on the line, listened to the spiel then pushed 1 to 'speak'.  Got a human right away.  told her to take me off her call list because it was the third call this week and I am on the do not call list (anyone else think the 'list' is a laugh?).  she did not slam down the phone - jut broke the connection without saying a word.

Got a call from this number.  Came up on my caller id as Lower Your Cost.  I did not answer and they did not leave a message.  I just added the number to my do not call list.  But I am registered with the do not call registry and have figured out that it does nothing.  It is a waste of time to register on the do not call list.

Getting calls like this on a daily basis.  I found out one was from the March of Dimes out of New York and I live in Alabama.  I am on the do not call list and still they come in...especially from Rachel from Credit Card Services wanting to lower my interest rate...and to hurry on top of that, as this offer was about to expire.  Think we need to get the 'Do Nothing Congress' to act on these calls and at least do something for the tax payer.
