This number calls like three times a day. I am not sure how they got my number but when I returnm the call it says the number is not in service.
Zelda Y Holland 2012-10-01 19:16:49 Unknown
Received calls everyday last week (9/24-29) and again today (10/1/12) from this phone number. No one ever says anything, they hang up as soon as I say hello. You can not call this number back, it always says "not in service at this time." Can you please stop this nonsense?
J Rutledge 2012-09-27 14:50:12 Unknown
These people call me all the time. Please do something to stop their harrassment. When I call the number back I keep getting a message saying the number is no longer in service. MAKE THEM STOP!!!!

Calls at least 10 to 12 times a day when I answer it silent and then hangs up. nobody speaks. I am registered with the Do NOt Call Registry. But I don't think it helps any.
Melissa F. 2012-09-24 20:17:14 Unknown
I get several calls a day from this number and there is never anyone on the other end. Very annoying and I AM registered with the Do Not Call Registry.

You can collect but only after a federal lawsuit under the Fair Debt Colections Practiced Act. It is a long process and can be rather expensive.

This number robo-called me 8 times in a row, today. They call at least 1x per day, everyday.
I call them back, number is disconnected. So insane!
Tim in AZ 2012-03-28 17:42:42 Unknown
Non-stop, can't take a hint by us not answering, and when we do to complain, it is a recorded message about the "sign in yard, police in area worried about home security", ect., ect., etc. We have ADT so we don't need them but there is no way to tell them that. Gov't needs to step up and update these call work-arounds, as they technically are not violating the Do-Not-Call list if they are not marketing products/services at the time, but what about if you agree and they do come out? What will they be selling then??? What knuckleheads!

I received 9 robocall phone messages from this phone number, all today. This is after receiving 22 calls over two days with the EXACT same message from a different phone number, 406-219-2110, on 3/15/12 and 3/16/12. I was finally home and able to answer and requested I be put on their "Do Not Call" list. Now, only ten days later, I'm receiving the exact same message repeated every half hour or so from the 971 number above.
If you receive calls from this number, please immediately report them on the DoNotCall registry. FCC.gov.

They did leave a message, we never answer these calls. It was the free home alarm spiel. I deleted it.

Have gotten multiple calls from these folks.
Caller ID varies and has included:
"Pacific Tel" - trying to seem like Pacific Telephone
"PG&E" - trying to look like Pacific Gas and Electric
Never bothered to answer.
It must be illegal to spoof caller IDs, right?
fran 2012-03-12 14:21:45 Unknown
?????? Collect $7500 for each call ????????
Ernestine 2012-03-10 19:44:46 Telemarketer
They have called every day for about a week and sometmes twice a day. They ask if you want to be put on a do not call list, select a number. I did that, and it didn't help a bit.
What is the security that is suppose to block this kind of calls, Does it no longer work?
Sarah 2012-03-09 13:46:11 Telemarketer
This is a recorded message about home security - very lengthy and annoying. but I do feel like I have some success when I report these numbers. The calls stope for a while.
Chris 2012-03-08 22:55:19 Unknown
Sick of these calls. I don't and will never answer them. I am on the Do Not Call List. Apparently, that's worthless.
pissed in pittsburgh 2012-03-08 22:40:27 Unknown
this Robot continues to call me leaving half-assed messages about security systems. ..."The FBI and Your Local police recommend you protect your home..." blah blah blah... call cut and drops. Made in China recording.

This phone # belongs to a Telemaketing Company called:
"PTG Telemaketing"
15618 SW 72nd Ave
Portland, Oregon 97224
Arnold Schwarzenegger 2012-03-08 02:22:30 Unknown
Or have some FUN with them! Hook up an "Arnold Schwarzenegger" sound board from the Internet to your phone and let them talk to HIM. You could say, "I'll be back!" and put down the phone and see how long they stay on the line.
J Edgar Hoover 2012-03-08 02:17:46 Unknown
Next time tell them you already have a security system, made by Samuel Colt.
Harry 2012-03-08 02:09:39 Unknown
Well, what does THAT tell you? A company you can't call back, that curses at you when you ask them to stop calling, wants to "give" you a "free" security system if you don't already have one? Sounds like CROOKS to me, phishing for information. Either they are going to rip you off or break into your house.
BUYER BEWARE!
Gary 2012-03-08 02:03:21 Unknown
For all I know, this could be a CROOK calling to see if I have an alarm system at my home.
If they hang up when you ask who they are, they're some sort of CROOK -- burglar or scam artist. Don't give them ANY information -- credit card, bank account number, or whether or not you already have an alarm system.
Ivor 2012-03-08 01:59:40 Unknown
They don't get your phone number. Most likely they are using a robo-caller and are dialing EVERY phone number, sequentially. So they call EVERYONE who has a phone, whether or not the number is listed. They don't care who they reach, just as long as they reach someone.
If they're bothering you on your cell phone, put their number into your phone book and set the ring to NONE or OFF. I have an entry in my phone book called JERKS and every number in this category does NOT ring my phone. The may be calling, but I never know it, because the phone doesn't ring.
fred atkinson 2012-03-07 16:36:52 Unknown
calls and dosen't leave message-obviously spam
Fran 2012-03-07 13:39:44 Unknown
Got the same call. ID said "Service". It started out by saying that there have been a lot of break in's in my area and that if I allowed them to put a sign in my yard, I'd get a free security system. I am also on the do-not-call list. What joke. I keep getting calls from scammers and charities all the time. I am so sick of it. I also have call intercept to block unwanted calls, I've reached the maxiumum (24),
Maestro 2012-03-07 03:21:11 Unknown
Just so people understand the reason you get a message when you call the number back saying the number is no longer in service is due to the fact these companies are using some sort of IP Phone service like Vontage, and they and spoof any phone number or caller ID they want they can change it every day if they like so it gets past your blocks you may have set. Also since the Number that shows on your caller ID is not valid there is no way for you to report them to the DNC lists. Unless you can identify exactly who this company is there is no way to stop them from continually calling you and faking the phone number and ID.
The best thing to do is not answer the phone and let the answering machine deal with them.

Called them back from my Verizon computer monitoring account, which dialed their number and my number to see who answered.
PACIFIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS GROUP! Google them, let's see how they like being put up on Twitter and Facebook as insidious unsolicited robo-callers to thousands of unsuspecting and defenseless American citizens.

Google brings me THIS (in quotes)
:
"This company provides telephone services for two layers of hidden companies, that refuse to abide by federal regulations regarding telemarketing. They have refused to stop calling (though I am already on the do not call list). They have refused to provide any of their information as required by law when asked. They are calling with an autodialer, and have a number of hidden companies so that they can continue doing business. After contacting the Montana Secretary of State and Montana Department of Justice, I received the following information: ==========
Thank you for your information. Over time, we have received several complaints like yours. Upon investigation, we have found that these 406 area code numbers belong to an unknown out-of-state company that purchased/leased the Montana phone number from a telemarketing company that purchased/leased it from a Los Angeles based competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) named Pacific Telecom. The calls are not coming from Montana. Please see the three tiered call sequence below: 1. Pacific Telecom
2. A telemarketing company
3. The unknown out-of-state company which called you from (406) 8528377 You can see that the number originated with Pacific Telecom by viewing the link below: http://www.fonefinder.net/findome.php?npa=406 ... Number&cityname We are advising consumers to file complaints against the known entity in this scheme, Pacific Telecom. Pacific Telecom's contact information is listed below:
Pacific Telecom Communications Group
ATTN: Steve Hamilton
12228 Venice Blvd Ste 559
Los Angeles CA 90066 You can report these harassing calls, file a complaint and/or direct all inquiries that are associated with Pacific Telecom to the Federal Trade Commission either by calling (877) 382-4357 or by visiting www.ftc.gov.
========== I have filed a complaint with the FTC and will be following up on it. They have called trying to sell many different things (credit card rate reductions, mortgages, etc). I will be doing everything I can to find out who this company is. Pacific Telecom is providing the phone numbers and hiding the companies. I believe they are involved with the company."
end of quote
These people should be out of business by the end of the week.
A similar, but separate address is:
"Pacific Telecom Management Group Inc
650 S Grand Ave
Los Angeles CA 90017-3809
Tel: 213-622-0109 "
There are other links, but they appear older, and appear to be in one of the 3 Pacific Ocean states. Let's make them history, within a week. People who call numbers without a legitimate call-back number, just get rid of them and put their owners in jail for a few years while taking away every dollar they ever made.
