Same thing here as Jamie and Lizvexperienced. Text from Sarah, except item was to be a surprise for her Dad. Called Paypal and they agreed it was a scam.

had this sarah text me wanting to buy a honda magna off craiglist. very pushy on paying by paypal and for me to set up account.  and to send email and name. said she would have a agent pick it up. wanted as a surprise for husband...pushy and sounds like scam.

This is a Craigslist scammer. They texted me asking about an item I had for sale and offered to pay through Paypal and then arrange pickup through a private shipper. They had this whole backstory about being "Sarah Sanches from Santa Maria" and being in the army reserves in New York, wanting to buy it as a present for dad, etc., etc. I asked them why they were buying from so far away and they just plowed forward talking more about arranging shipping and paying through Paypal. I asked them what their offer actually was and said I'd prefer not to use Paypal, and they responded with mostly jibberish, not naming the price they would pay, and what seemed to be a small ad for Paypal. They then became very pushy about getting me to sign up on Paypal using the link they texted me, so it sounded like one of those scams where they gather your information through a redirected website. I said that it sounded like a scam and never heard from them again.
