He got 300 dollars out of me

He sent me a check for more than the amount he should have paid me and asked me to money-gram the rest to another person. I called the bank and account number, name and address on the check were from a valid company but when I called the company they said they have not issued such a check and they have had problems with fraudulent checks. Definitely a defrauder.

Just got a phone call from "Sean"...................said  he got my reply email..........stating that I wouldn't send cash to Sandra LOL.........." I seemed SO helpful........WHY won't I help him out?........please send the EXTRA cash to Sandra.............."
I played stupid....said that I wasn't in a rush.....asked him to resend the correct amount and ALSO to his "nanny" LOL......this gets funnier by the minute.
VERY broken english...........in the emails he tried to PRETEND he was an attorney or something....I could tell by the broken english in the emails that something wasn't RIGHT. That was what made the first RED FLAG GO UP.

CUT to the chase...........he hung up on me. LOL................I started to send him another email stating that I'll be turning OVER ALL......this info to the FBI.........but not sure if I want to spend another micro second playin with this thief.

No don't I have been getting emails from a guy with this same phone number and he goes by Sean Garner.  It seems like a similar scam as the ones these people are talking about.  He wanted me to tutor his children.  I was a little concerned with the emails because it seemed too good to be true, so I typed his phone number into google and found all of this.  So I would be very careful

After I placed an add on Craigslist to rent a room two weeks ago, someone identifying himself as Henry said their girlfriend wanted to rent it. I answered a couple of questions they had, and a couple of days later I got a reply providing a lot of information calculated to make the prospective renter a very good prospect. That came with a bunch of other questions. I told them to call me. A couple more days after that I get an email from the girlfriend (same email address: oluyenden2003@gmail.com) giving me a number to call (917-313-0560) and saying her job would be paying her rent, but that she would like to secure the room before moving in. So at this point I already know this is going in the direction of someone sending me a check and asking that part of the figure be sent back to them. I googled the phone number and I learned here that it was associated with other Craiglist scams with different names. So I called "Henry" (I can't talk to Debbie because she out of the country) and ask for more info on a job he posted on craigslist, he asked for my name and email. I made them up and upon not being able to pinpoint which one of his prospective victims I was he hung up. I believe he uses Magic Jack for his phone number. This guy needs to be stopped.

I got an email from a Sean and Sharon trying to buy my wedding dress off a dress website I had it posted on.  He seems ok.  Maybe the phone number belongs to someone else now.  I'll let you all know.

Just received a check from this guy. The check is from Gaetano LLC, Wilmington Delaware. They wanted me to take my money then wire the rest to Lisa Wortman in Washington DC. This guy (Michael Lyons) emailed and called several times about receiving the check. I should email him and say "Hey I met your mother and she will cash the check for me out of her personal bank account". Of course someone like him probably never had a mother to begin with.

I hope all others will be aware of this scam.

Wow this guy pulled this scam on me !!he just sent me a check for $1850. I haven't done any work its an advance plus and additionl amount he wants me 2 wire to some lady named sandra *RED FLAG* y do I haveto send her the $ why can't you send it the whole thing is fishy but I've contacted theFBI and filled a complaint I'm also contacting the bank listed on the check and my bank as well ( I did not cash the check )but he does have my address PLEASE BECAREFUL EVERYONE

THis guy is a scam. be carefull. After weeks of e mailing within regards to a job being a caretaker for his father mioving to new york , I received a check in the amount of $2550,00 and it had a name of a compnay in DC with an adress from MD.  I handling all of the info to the Secret service here in ny ALONG WITH HIS EMAILS .

I just recieved a check from him,and i am going to do the samething!!!!  Maybe something will get done about this guy. He is just trying to scam people out of money,he told me that after i cash the check to let him know because his aunt sandra and his father Danny may need some money to move over here!!!! Yeah,right how stupid does he think people are anyway??? The check he sent  was from Mastercard and it has a bogus bakn account,and the check number does not match,it was printed off of a computer and he even misspelled the bank name!!! which is HE Bank OF NEW YORK MELLO that is how he printed it the correct name is HE Bank Of NEW YORK MELLON,which is a finance company.Also,the routing number was only 6 digits it 's supposed to be 9.!!!So,everyone please be carefull IF you recieve a check from this guy take it to the DA in your city,i know i am!!!!

Glad I found this site. I responded to his add and got all the same e-mails. I tried to search just on his name but had no luck till he finally sent his #. I knew something was off about it besides that it seemed to good to be true. I'd still really like to know what his point is, if you get the check and cash it does he ask for the money back or something. It's not like he got any info from me that will do him any good, nothing that can't be gotten with a basic search anyway. It's good whatever his trick is as I usually have no trouble spotting the usual scams a mile off. Thanks!

This same scam artist just tried this on a friend of mine. I don't have all the info from her yet, but did see a couple emails...word for word the same as posted here!! I am hoping she didn't give him too much information. Anyway, I am not sure your local D.A. can help you. This is an email/money fraud scam. If the D.A. doesn't give you any direction, try starting with the FBI at the website below. I have a few theories on what he is doing, but best to leave it up to the fbi! If I get enough infor from my friend I am going to contact them as well!

I have also been sent this same email along with a couple others....I never recived a phone call though. What exactly is the purpose of him trying to "HIRE" all of us for this caretaker job? I just don't get it. I am very pist at myself for beliving and trusting this a$$Hole. If any of you can explain it would be great. Thanks

I am in contact with the same person through email. His last email said to look forward to a check from him. I am going to take the check and the emails and where they are from to my local DA and report this.
