Unfortunately scammers could care less about the do not call list, they don't care if you are on a hundred lists. They are hopping that one person our a hundred or five hundred will fall for their scam and give them bank or credit card info. Only legitimate companies pay attention to them because they can get busted and fined. The scammers don't leave names of their so-called companies, or won't tell you, so there is nothing to turn in. It does get tiring. And they just use these throw away cell phones so they can't be tracked down. What a way to try to make a living!

These folks have called probably at least 100 times.  They are scam artists ... criminals .... low life scum.  They will NEVER take you off their list, and are REALLY unpleasant nasty folks.  They call from an entire variety of numbers .... so is difficult to block (usually from the 971 area code though).

When does it end?  I see all kind of messages regarding these unwanted numbers calling over and over again.  I have to pay to be on the do not call lists. Wonder if I can get my money back?

It doesn't make any difference if you do hit "3" so they won't call.  They still do.  When you get them on the line and tell them you are on the Do Not Call List, they either hang up or give you a smart a**ed response.  I think I am going to get a person on the line next time and feed them a nice line of BS.  I figure it's free entertainment for me to mess with them for a change.

Received the same call but do not answer.  Never answers you don't recognize the number to.

they call all the time and when i pick up the phone there is no one on the line.

I've had the same issue and filed a complaint with the Do Not Call National Registry.  It's very easy to do online.  Just google Do Not Call Registry and then click on File a Complaint.

When I told the "friendly" operator that I am on the Do Not Call list, she told me that she speaks to over 300 people a day and they are all on the do not call list.

I hung up because I suspected fraud.

My lines are on the state and federal DNC lists. I also have caller ID which I use to implement the DNA/CB (Do not answer/call back) list.
I don't answer calls when I don't recognize the number and I don't call anyone back that doesn't leave a message.
Works 100% of the time.

I have received hundreds of calls from this number..calling back and pressing 1 to be taken off the list does not work...they just call from another number..this last call I asked him what type of scam was he running..he told me he wouldn't be able to help me and hung up....another one said an attorney can do nothing....being on the DO NOT CALL list means nothing...sure wish something coulb be done

When a live person answered I asked him what type of scam he was running? He said "I won't be able to help you" BS'd him and said my attorney loves these calls that he was making me rich..he told me I was wasting my money and hung up...Sure wish you could get a live person when you call back...because I would dial their numbedr all day long!!!

Another credit card telemarketer.  Called back and got message to be placed on do not call list.  We shall see!

I've been getting multiple calls from this number, and a related (timewise) number 999 910-0122. I don't answer and they don't leave a message. Best you can do is enter the numbers into Block Call service. Obviously, registering on the Do Not Call list is of no help re: fraud related calls.

same thing happened to me.  hung up on by rep.  I'm reporting this number as a scam and to the Better Businees Bureau.  Hopefully this harassment will stop.  I am also on both do not call lists.

Also try answer the phone , don't say anything and hit the # fast. Suppose to mess up their computers. I've acctually have it on a couple calls.

Did the calls stop after calling back/

I am on the do not call registry and they have called at least four times today it is very annoying.

Just like everyone else I get this number coming through also (Portland, OR).  They never leave a message but I've opted to NOT use voice mail and went back to my old fashioned answering machine.  I'm sure most people would do what I do but I've opted to NOT even turn my machine on when I'm home.  That way the phone will ring to them but they never know if it's a good number because it doesn't pick up or go to a message of any sort.  Just turn the ringer down when you're at home and try to pretend these A*Holes don't exist as much as possible.  That "DO NO CALL LIST" does absolutely nothing.  When I do answer the phone on these type people I just love to tell them I'm in the middle of something but if they would give me "THEIR HOME PHONE NUMBERS" I would be glad to call them back about 9PM at night.  There's usually dead air when I say that.  I always tell them "If you feel you can call me at home then I should be able to call them at home".   Obviously that really doesn't do anything aside from making me feel better.  :-)

Got a call today about 1pm, 1st time.  I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message.  Looked up the number, and after reading the posts here, I'm glad I didn't answer.  I think I'm gonna do what Simplicity suggested, answer and then hang up real quick.  Maybe they'll get the hint.  I'm also on the do not call lists; well, we all see how well that works!

I'm getting calls from this number quite often.  I finally looked up the number on 800notes and was directed to this page.  I either don't answer the calls or answer and then hang up right away.  I wish there was some way to fight back and get these people investigated. I'm worried about the people that really do need help and succumb to their pitch :(

I received several (5 or more) calls from this number advising me that they could lower the interest rate on my credit card and since I had not responded, this would be my LAST CHANCE. I answered each time, pressed #1 to speak to a "friendly" customer service representative and requested they remove my number from their calling list. Each time, they hung up in my ear. Then yesterday (5/4/12) when they called yet again, I pressed #1 and I got a "friendly" customer service representative named Laura. When I told her I wasn't interested and told her I had requested more than once that they remove my number from their calling list, she told me to shut up. I then advised her that I had recorded their telephone number and would be reporting them to the Consumer Protection Bureau at the Federal Trade Commission and I hung up on her!

These people are relentless. All they want is your credit card information. Please know that they are NOT legitimate.

Thank you for your post.  This number has called repeatedly and never left a message, so I just searched the number.  I saw your post and followed suit, pressing 1 for them not to call back.  I also am on both the Federal and State "do not call" lists.
