It was over 2 years ago that the thieves began calling my unlisted number, they already knowing my name, that I owwned my modest home, and also that I'm old and likely to be addled and demented... their primary victims...

These low life telemarketers to ignorant & stupid to get a real job keep calling (excess of 50 X) and harassing my family. They are calling from different #'s everyday! They know my name & home address! They are offering construction services. I have kindly said that I was not interested & to please remove my number from their list. They are sneaky & rude liars! Today I responded by saying "YES, I'm very interested but I need to call you back, can I get your #". The response was "how stupid do you think I am?" and hung up!
My husband said for me to invite them over & he would love to greet them anytime.......... Were waiting ;-)

Me too. Also area code 323 along with 310, 626 (which I live in) and 818. The 714s are usually something else like mortgage companies. I don't even answer calls from these area codes any more. I figure if I know then they'll leave a message and I can call them back.
