They are telescammers that are looking to get your money and if possible your card or bank account# so they can drain it. Believe me I investigated this number and that is a fact given directly from the company they are sometimes impersonating...Cricket or Vesta. BEWARE!!

Calls multiple times a week and when message is left it says that I have a bounced check and that I need to pay the sum they request before my phone shuts off. They are scammers because I have contacted corporate headquarters office of Cricket and Vesta (another company that cricket uses) and they did not have this number on file at all. They informed me and proved that my account was clean. (like I knew.) Whoever this is, they are scammers!

Will not stop calling till you pick it up. Called me over and over and i finallypicked up and turned out I owed $10. Paid it and they went away.

I got the call today on my google voice number (which doesn't have to be paid for) but they didn't leave a message. Thanks to all of your input I put them on my block list! I don't have ATT or T-Mobile and haven't in years so there is no reason for them to call me at all, not to mention I have only had the GV number for about a year so they wouldn't have it in regards to any of my previous accounts (which were paid before I switched to sprint).

I have been reciving phone calls from this number.  They just called my place of employment like 10 times in a row after they were told not to call.  They say I have legal action against me or something like that.

All of them are foreigners that you can barely understand

I hve been receiving calls  fron 9714042639. I called the number back it says it to a prepaid wireless phone company. When you call back you're placed on hold for a long time.

This number keeps calling me --sometimes more than once a day! And, each and every time I answer, it hangs up. No voicemails from them --it always hangs up. I don't know what to do to keep them from calling. It's so frustrating.

They have called my phone several times a day this week and never leave a message. When I do answer when they call a recording says it's about my cricket wireless phone and that they had a bounced check.So I called and talked to cricket and they say everything is fine with my account and no further payment is needed, until august 11. So I don't know why this unknown company keeps calling me.

I've been getting several calls a day from these people and occasionally they will leave a voicemail. Since it's a computer calling, I'm only getting the last part of the message which includes, " ....or call 611 from your cell phone"  they say that time cannot be added to my phone until this issue is resolved.  I've called 611 and they have no idea what these people are talking about and I"ve been able to add money to my phone.  I just added the number to my reject list at the behest of AT&T, I'd recommend to any of you that you do the same.

They call me every morning at 8 and several other times throughout the day they said that they're with the phone company and that i owe money and asked for my bank acct information.  I told them i'd call the company myself and if they need it i'll get transferred back over to the "collections" dept but when i called they said everything was fine with my acct, i owe no money.  What a scam!!! Don't give them any of your info!!!

I have a prepaid phone and rarely have calling time on it, ( only have texting) and this number has called me over the past few weeks twice without leaving a message. I believe its a cell phone since when you text to ask who it is, it doesn't come back INVALID NUMBER. Who is this person? (971) is an Oregon area code.

if you have a pay as you go phone and have put money on it with a checking account thru A T and T and the check bounces this company is their collection company for the check.

Damn people won't stop calling. If I pick up it hangs up.

I have to agree with Mrs. Jane. This call is from AT&T. It has to do with your wireless phone. I get the call twice a week for my son to remind him his minutes are running out. I have'nt been threatened or yelled at. Just hung from talking to a gentleman and he said he would remove my number .

I am getting calls from this number every hour on the hour everyday.
They leave threatning messages on my phone claiming to be from some legal department trying to collect monies They call me every morning at 8 and several other times throughout the day they said  i owe money and asked for my bank acct information. I called all my creditors and they confirmed this is a scam they are just trying to get your bank information.   I was forced to change my cell number.

@Team Umi Zumi.... yeah, that why when I called back they said that they were contacting me to see if I wanted to move my current service to T-Mobile?... I wouldn't jump to ridiculous conclusions that everyone is just like you who doesn't pay their bills and is getting "collection calls". Don't pay attention to this guy everyone, he's obviously under a lot of pressure because he's getting the collection calls and is looking for others to bond with.

@Everyone else... contacting the company to "take your name off their list" isn't going to work if you indeed owe money to their company. If they are contacting you for a cold call, then you should probably pick up the phone and just tell them to not call anymore. That is the best, easiest way to insure they stop calling your number. If at that point they keep calling, and you truly do not owe them any money, ask for their address that you can send the payment to. Tell them you only pay off your debts in checks. Use this address to send them a cease and desist letter and demand they stop calling. Use registered mail. If at that point they still call, you can take them to small claims court with your proof of registered mail explaining that you asked them to stop calling, and demand proof of any payments owed. Obviously if you indeed do not owe any money they will not have any proof and the judge will award you the maximum amount of damages based on your state or county, etc. Usually its a state statute.

Just make sure that if you are going to see this through, that you do.Otherwise it will just be a pebble making a ripple in the ocean.
