A poster for 1 of these numbers says they call asking for donations for a number of different charities - because they're a charity, they get around the Do Not Call list.  DON'T ANSWER - the robo-diallers then make a note that you're a "good number" & they put you on the list to keep calling back.  Save yourself the aggravation & just don't answer 972-253- (whatever).

Got a call from this number tonight at approximately 9:00PM.  Heard a man talking to - I guess - someone else.  Something like "gonna get cold.  stay awake".  They then hung up.  Thought it was a strange call.  Tried to call it back and, as others reported, it just clicks and never really rings.

GOT A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER , CALLED IT BACK  IT IS BUSY ALWAYS IN TODAYS WORLD, IS NO TIME FOR THIS KIND OF GAME,IF YOUR READING THIS POST ,PERSON WHO ENJOYS ANNOYING PEOPLE THEY DONT KNOW I AM CALLING YOU A  IDIOT.ONE DAY YOUR TIME WILL RUN OUT ON YOUR GAME THEN YOU MAY GROW UP, OR IT MAY END BAD FOR YOU AND THINK ABOUT THE STUPID THINGS THAT YOU HAVE WASTED YOUR LIFE ON.

Has called repeatedly over several days and when I answer there is no one there, when I call back it rings a couple times and then hangs up.

Called repeatedly when not at home and doesn't leave message.  

So today they called when I was on another line and I picked up.  I said hello for 10 seconds and nobody answered.  How stupid is that.

They left a message on my voice mail... but I couldn't tell if they were breathing heavy or blowing kisses.  I tried calling back and got a recording saying that I have to check with my calling card to find place the call. Then that the call can not be placed from my phone.

Caller does not speak when phone is answered.

They are calling on behalf of the Dallas Chamber of Commerce looking for a donation to sponsor a movie event for under-privileged children.  Have no idea whether it's legitimate or not.  I was laid off recently and I've found that's the perfect respose to these folks.  They usually just say they are sorry and hang up.

The number called our fax machine number.
