for someone who claims to be a wise business person you sure seem to have an awful lot of trouble with when to use 'THEN' vs 'THAN'. Also, using profanity, if anything, only decreases your credibility. sorry to have to tell you this. you should know better.

Oil and Gas Executive Sentenced to 10 Years in Federal Prison for Fraud and Conspiracy in Offerings of Western Pipeline Corporation Securities
U.S. Attorney?s Office
April 19, 2012
Northern District of Texas
(214) 659-8600
DALLAS?John Arthur Apple, Jr., 53, of Lewisville, Texas, was sentenced today by U.S. District Judge Sam A. Lindsay to 10 years in federal prison and ordered to pay more than $53 million in restitution, following his guilty plea in January 2012 to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and one count of securities fraud stemming from his involvement in offerings of Western Pipeline Corporation securities. Judge Lindsay ordered Apple to surrender to the Bureau of Prisons on June 12, 2012. Today?s announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Sarah R. Saldaña of the Northern District of Texas.
According to documents filed in the case, from October 2006 to July 2007, Apple was the majority owner of Western Pipeline, and through Western Pipeline, he raised money from investors by selling and causing others, including co-conspirators Christopher Scott Jent, Clifford Duane Stahl, Mickey Glen Horn, and James Timothy ?J.T.? Nealy, to sell investments in purported oil and gas development projects. Apple and his co-conspirators misled, deceived, and defrauded prospective investors by misrepresenting and failing to disclose material facts. As part of their roles, the co-conspirators assumed false identities when communicating with prospective investors, and, in the guise of those false identities, claimed to be investors in past Western Pipeline oil and gas development projects that supposedly had been successful.
Jent, Stall, Horn, and Nealy have separately pleaded guilty to securities fraud or conspiracy charges based on their involvement with Western Pipeline. Stahl and Nealy have each been sentenced to four years in federal prison. Stahl was ordered to pay $2 million in restitution, and Nealy was ordered to pay approximately $53 million in restitution. Jent and Horn are scheduled to be sentenced next month.
Securities fraud is a major focus of President Barack Obama?s Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force. President Obama established the interagency Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force to wage an aggressive, coordinated, and proactive effort to investigate and prosecute financial crimes. The task force includes representatives from a broad range of federal agencies, regulatory authorities, inspectors general, and state and local law enforcement who, working together, bring to bear a powerful array of criminal and civil enforcement resources. The task force is working to improve efforts across the federal executive branch, and with state and local partners, to investigate and prosecute significant financial crimes, ensure just and effective punishment for those who perpetrate financial crimes, combat discrimination in the lending and financial markets, and recover proceeds for victims of financial crimes.
U.S. Attorney Saldaña praised the investigative work of the FBI and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service in bringing these cases. The Western Pipeline cases are being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Alan M. Buie.

Staff writer J.K. Nickell reports:
A Lewisville man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison and ordered to repay more than $53 million for securities fraud.
John Arthur Apple Jr., 53, was the majority owner of the Western Pipeline Corp. from October 2006 to July 2007. During that time, he and four co-conspirators repeatedly defrauded prospective investors, even going so far as to assume false identities to deceive them, according to the U.S. attorney's office.
In January, Apple pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit securities fraud and one count of securities fraud while he was majority owner of the oil and gas company. He was sentenced Monday.
The four other men involved have also entered guilty pleas. Clifford Duane Stahl and James Timothy "J.T." Nealy were sentenced four years in federal prison and ordered to pay restitution.
Christopher Scott Jent and Mickey Glen Horn are to be sentenced next month.

Revenue checks from first well, producing over 500 BOPD for first year were in excess of $20,000.00 per month with a $104,000.00 investment. You do the math! Production is down some now but checks are still monthly. And the one we are in now looks to be even better. How does that stack up in your trustworth evaluation???

TDEC is a real oil and gas exploration company. My business partner and I have invested with Mr. Jent on two big projects and I have invested in a third. We are also invested in a land project in northern OK with him. We have been on site when the oil well was being drilled and Mr. Jent has been to my home in Missouri. He is a fine person who is extremely knowledgeable in his industry. He will gladly discuss his "problem" that occured with a former employer as he has nothing to hide. Yes, his sales people use a variety of tactics to get to the person they need to speak with. At our company we do not allow any of our phone answering people to make a decision on who we speak with. I suppose if we did then we would not have the income from the oil industry that we enjoy thanks to Chris Jent.
Feel free to call me at The Living Well Co. Brookfield MO if you question any of the above as being 100% accurate information. Ron B co-owner

Seriously, I thought the scam fom western pipeline was all wrapped up... I worked low level for them and was canned immediately when TSHTF.
ScammedbyCliff 2011-07-21 18:52:18 Unknown
Unfortunately, I was scammed by Cliff and his felony friends too. I hope they go to jail too and throw away the key. The extent of the fraud was mind-boggling.
These guys are crooks 2011-06-17 01:02:04 Unknown
This is the biggest scam on the planet and I hope they all go to jail. I was scammed into investing in a company called Western Pipeline through Cliff Stahl. They raked in millions of dollars, sucked the money out of the company and put it into their own bank accounts, filed for bankruptcy and then started new, fraudulent companies and repeated the process. Unbelievable actually and I hope they all are locked up for a LONG time.

The company is Triple Diamond Oil. They are calling for investments in their oil scam. The callers are pushy and fairly dumb. "Brian Hodges" is the one that called my company. They will never get through!

I'm not sure why everyone insists on calling oil and gas investments a scam, Triple Diamond has a bunch of registered wells in Texas and Oklahoma both.

Lol coming from that industry (investments) I made more money being honest and upfront about who I was and my intents rather than trying deception. If you have a truly great "project", lies are not needed. I have great respect you guys aka Gatekeepers, I made 400 to 500 calls a day and in a way you guys became phone family. As far as the easiest way to get rid of the calls is to tell the investment firm calling to take your boss off the list and if you receive another you will be filing a complaint with your state's securities regulation office (every state has them, google should have them listed) most firms do not want that kind of attention and will stop. Nothing much will come of it but will make them not so interested in calling you, deffinatley cons won't call back. Well I hope I helped in some way lol good luck!

I was called this morning by a man named Ken Hampton, he wanted to speak to a man that I had never heard of. I have been working for this school for 5 yrs so I was a little confused because he sounded so certain even repeating the name of the company. I didnt stop to think that it was a telemarketer even though I could hear other ppl in the back ground.
When he was called back he didnt answer then I decided to look it up on the comp, and found this site.

Darren, I would love to say I believe you are really a customer but I can only assume you work for Triple Diamond and are trying this tactic as well. Sorry, I wish I could believe this post but I dealt with too many of these "so-called" investors to know not to put anything past them. I apologize if I am wrong.
Jac 2011-02-03 22:03:40 Unknown
Three years does not prove a successful track record if someone is going to invest a lot of money. I'm not one of the hot shots, I'm admin for one of the hot shots. It's great that you have so much business and you don't need the "hot shots". Unfortunately, my boss alone recevies at least 10 calls a day from different investment firms/people that claim they can make us so much money if we could only give them a minute to talk. If the hot shots spent all day listening to how great a job you can do for the company or them personally, they wouldn't have time to run the company. I guess you have a job to do as well, but please think twice as to how you speak to them. You might think you can scam the secretary to pass the message on but remember all the CEO's and CFO's have seasoned assistants that cannot be bullied into passing the message on. We actually laugh with the antics that are used trying to get us to put the call through or give them a cell phone or e-mail address. Keep up the good work and have a wonderful day as well.

Same as above, messageis same. It is funny that still get so many of these calls from various sales people at similar firms. Apparently this may be working somewhere, otherwise you woul dthink they would disappear. I see posts from 2007 on this firm.
But if you don't invest today.....lol. The guy that left his name for me is Ken Hanson at Triple Diamond Energy.

Then why are there numerous cease and desist orders from other states? Indictments for all the principals? Not to mention all the people who lost money! I know for a fact it is a fraulent operation. If you are an employee from the first day you are the principal crook. You have certainly garnered enough attention from the Feds. The wheels of justice are slow, but.........
Silent Observer 2011-02-02 19:31:20 Unknown
I know for a fact they are running a scam. I have been aquainted with one of these guys for a lifetime. I have watched while many people were robbed. Turn them in for securities fraud. Turn the tables on the solicitation and call them.
