I just purchased a new car and the very first week, I have been getting these calls and they are from Capital One, I hate it, I may just turn the car in and see if they want my business if they keep harrassing me.  I just set the number up as a contact and let it ring to voicemail,  This is so annoying when I am at work...

Somebody asked you for your full Social Insurance Number?  Absolute 100 percent scam.  Don't offer them even ONE number off of it.  No bank or gov't agency needs ANY info from you because they ALREADY have it.  The will NEVER call you by phone to verify it. NEVER.  They will ask you to come in.  Anyone who tells you different is a lying scammer.

The first thing they asked me was for my FULL SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER!!! I offered my last 4 digits and they said they needed the whole thing to pull up my account. DO  NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!!

Just bought a new car at a Toyota Dealership suddenly getting missed calls from this number, no messages.

Hey All, too funny, but it looks like I'm in this club now.  Just bought a car from CarMax last week with a loan from Capital One.  Got a call from 972-378-4003 about 30 minutes ago, no vmail was left.  I look forward to their next call.  Curious to see what type of response I'll get when I answer. :) Good times...

i try not to answer calls from unknown numbers.  thanks to this WhoCallsMe i now know who this is! next time i guess i'll answer b/c i have bought a car financed via CaptialOne.  wonder if i will ever talk to anyone. i guess it comes w/the territory.

THEY CALL SEVERAL TIMES A DAY AND WHEN WE ANSWER THE PHONE THEY HANG UP.

I just financed through Capital One last week and this number has repeatedly called me. It is a "welcome" call as the lady described it. I have not had a payment due so it has nothing to do with a late payment as far as I'm concerned.

I just wish they'd stop calling or leave a message.

they call 4-5 times daily when i answer no one is there it hangs up after 15 to 20 seconds how can they be stopped?

I bought a car at CarMax and keep getting calls from this number as well.

These people will not stop calling me--I recently purchased a vehicle from Carmax. However, my loan is not throught Capital One. They literally called me 6 times on Sunday all day, and lets not talk about during the week-they are driving me crazy. When I answer it is a Capital One recording.

I recently have also purchased a car from CarMax about 4 weeks ago now with a Capital One Auto Finance loan, I recieve calls from this number and another 972 number several times daily, with no messages.

This number belongs to Capital One Auto. If you are even one day late on a payment their system will automatically call you and continuously call your number every 10 to 15 minutes!

This number calls me 2-3 times a day, even on Saturday and Sunday.

I received couple calls from this number too. I normally never answer calls in which I do not know the number, but normally they leave voice messages. This number never leaves voice message and I believe it's CapitalOne too since I recently just did refinance with them

ive been getting theese calls from them for about 3 months.. anywhere from 15 to 30 times a day... i do not have a capital one account and never will... ive tried to get them to delete me from the call list but it dont work im still getting there calls.... by the way its on my cell phone not on home phone i dont give my cell number out to anybody..... do u have any idea on how i can get them to quit callin me....

Just recently paidmy Feb/March bill on this past Sunday.....still receiving phone calls ALL DAY on Monday......WTF?

I too have received a call from this number and like many others I recently financed a car through Capital One auto finanace. So far I have gotten only one call after 8p.m. CST. I did not answer since no info came up on my caller ID other than the number. No Voicemail either. About the only suggestion I could give would be to ask your phone carrier if they are able to block incoming calls from a specific number.

They call me like 10 times a day, they do not leave a message.

It is Capital One Auto finance. We just bought a car financed through them. Our payment isn't due for another two weeks. This number called and left a voicemail with a 1-877-945-4595. I called the number and it was Cap One. They did want to verify my address and make sure I did buy the car. They verified my phone number and asked for my email. They also wanted to know if I wanted to enroll in their autopay program. I think that was really the whole reason for the call.

I got the same call same number three times today!  I don't even have a capital one anything!

I have been getting calls from this number and other with the last four digits being different.  I've been getting them every morning at 8:30 am and throughout the day.  It has been constant the last 3 weeks.  I really enjoyed reading how much everyone is annoyed by it, I just wish that someone had a solution.

I received several calls from this number about six months ago. The woman on the phone was looking for "Frank" or "Lisa." Well, I'm not either of those two, so I kept saying: "wrong number." The calls stopped, only to return again today, really early in the morning (it's Saturday). Again she asked for Frank or Lisa. Again I said wrong number. I see from the previous posts on this blog that most writers have recently financed their cars through Capital One, and that the telephone number is suspected to be from Capital One harassing its clients. Well, I've never financed anything with Capital One. In fact, I've never financed anything with anyone. Also, considering that an institution like Capital One has access to the credit reports (with correct contact info) for all its customers, I find it hard to believe that they don't have "Frank" or "Lisa's" correct phone numbers...which leads me to believe it is not Capital One. So better don't tell them anything they ask for, whomever they are.

I have received 2 calls from this number hours apart never leave message and they calling my cell phone now how they got that, I wonder if its really cap.one if so car not is paid and not due until the 19

Call comes in from 972-378-4003, but it only rings once & hangs up before you can answer!  I haven't tried calling back as I don't what to speak with someone who can't be courteous and actually identify themselves and speak to me!

Never had business with Capital One but we have been getting phone calls almost every day since last year...repoarted a few times ... anyone knows how to get rid of this company? Help.
