This call comes up on my cell at least once a month. I do not answer calls that I do not recognize.

This is just my reaction after reading about how your company does business.  If you don't know the difference between calling a customer to remind them of a payment and calling a customer 30 times a day, then you are a complete moron and don't deserve to be in a position of power.  There is a difference between guarding your loan and harassment.  You say that your company doesn't mess around - well your company has a BAD REPUTATION and you sound like a loan shark w/ your statements.  Maybe that's because your company is like a loan shark - giving credit to people with low scores & then you feel like you need to harass them when they don't pay - what did you expect when you cater to people with bad credit?  Are you going to break their kneecaps next?  

You have no consideration for customer service and everyone knows it. If you treated customers better, you may collect more money from them - but you are just too dumb to get that I guess.  Oh, yeah and - when a person says they aren't going to pay, harassing them with calls every 5 minutes is not going to change their minds.

Harassing a person because they happen to have the misfortune of getting one of your former customer's phone numbers just makes your company look like a bunch of lowlife idiots.  AND when your people call and don't say anything, well, you must not be too serious about collecting anything.  

Don't you get that many people are good and want to pay their bills, but they've lost their jobs, gotten ill, or had some other tragedy fall on them?  If your company really wanted to get paid, they would help customers to make arrangements - such as deferments - when these things happen - not threaten them with thug tactics.  

BTW - any of you saying that I pay late & that's how I found this site - you're wrong.  I found this while doing a google search regarding capital 1 & just found it interesting.  I pay my car loans on time - but I will NOT be giving any new business to Capitol 1.

i have had capital one since2003 and i think i received one  call from them i think they are very good to deal with they only bother u if they havent received your payment  again i think they are very good to do business

972-378-6544 Carlton Peyton for those of you who don't have an account with Capital One and they are calling you, send a register letter to them state not to call your number again.  Send register so you can tract and when they call again you can give date of receiving.  Calls should stop.  Others: I am one of those individuals that have fallen behind due to job loss - it is 9:44 am and I've received 8 phone calls since 8:05 am - is this not harrassment?

Well believe it or not, sometimes people do experience problems in their lives,  even money problems believe it or not.  And guess what, it isn't a choice they make either.  There are a lot of people having money problems right now with the economy the way that it is.  Just goes to show how narrow minded people can be!!!

Called my cell phone at 1:37 pm on 4/9/09.  Found out thru web search that this is Capitol 1.  I do NOT have any Capitol 1 accounts.  They have no reason to be calling me, especially on my cell phone line.

When they call use a airhorn in their ears, they will  stop calling when they can no longer hear what anyones saying.

These guys keep calling me too!!.  I just signed up for comcast digital voice....and apperently the guy who had my phone number before me didnt pay his bills.

I told Cap1 that Im not this guy...they say sorry and say they will remove me from the list....but the calls keep comming.

I think the best way to not get these calls is to just change my number.

We are getting calls from this number lately too so I looked it up on reverse search on the white pages site and then googled the name and I found this page.  Yes, we are behind on our auto payment, but we trying like heck to get caught up since our vehicle is almost paid off.  I guess Capital One thinks they are slick and will try anything to trick you into taking more calls from them so they can harass you some more.

They did us the same way, at least 20 x's a day, even after hours. calling about someone that use to have our number....sometime they would call and no one would say anything. but if u let the automated system run through push zero you should be able to reach someone. And even after the call and I was able to speak with someone  the calls continued. so I changed my number. and it was changed for free because it was harrasement. the numbers are 972-378-3690 or 972-378-6544.

GAH! This number (or 972-378-3547) calls me ALL THE TIIME.  There was a bout where they called me every 30  minutes for about a week. And they always call when I'm asleep!!!
Each time they call they are never looking for me, they are looking for my mother (they ask for her by name, assuming its her phone).  I'm away at college and this number has never been hers. I always tell them her number, yet she's never got a call from them and i continue to be harassed!  I wish I could report them to somebody!

I also have a auto loan through capital one & they are the most annoying company ever.My original  payment date was set for the 8th of the month I receive a call asking me if payment date was ok I told them it would help if it were in the  middle of the month because I get pd every two weeks. So the guy was nice enough to set the due date for the 18th of every month. This worked out great for me,payment on time every month but don't ask me how it showed late on every payment & they wanted me to send an extra payment to make it current,which I did not.It look them a year to figure out my payments were not late because the due date was changed from the 8th to the 18th it was considered late.The information was never changed on my profile.But, I had a letter with this info on it. They called me 6-8 times a day & at work. They are relentless. Now that the economy is bad I am late here & there but it's still paid & the phone calls are on again. No one answers the phone when I say hello I think its their way to see if you are home. The calls come from Carlton Peyton it shows up on caller ID.I would NEVER get a loan from them again.Good luck for anyone that has to deal with them. Get a cross & told it to the phone! LOL

We don't have an account with these jerks and they still want us to pay a bill that belongs to someone who had our number a few years ago!  Tried to explain that to them and they just hang up and call back.
I would love to call them back and harass them a little or speak to someone with some brains but I just run into an automated system that doesn't let you speak to a human.

VERY RUDE CALLS ME BEFORE 9AM WHEN MY CAR PAYMENT IS 3 DAYS LATE. CAPITAL ONE SENDS ME THE INVOICE AND I RECEIVE IT 2 DAYS BEFORE IT IS DUE. HOW CAN YOU EXPECT ME TO PAY ON TIME? I OFFERED TO PAY IT OFF BUT THEY TELL ME IM NOT ALLOWED TO PAY IT OFF OVER THE PHONE.  CANT WIN.  HANG UP ON THEM... THEY CALL ME SO MUCH I THREATENED TO FILE HARRASSMENT CHARGES AND SO FAR THEY HAVENT CALLED BACK. DONT GET LOANS THROUGH CAPITAL ONE. BOYCOTT THEM AND THEIR UNFAIR BUSINESS PRACTICES.

When we get these calls, the caller ID says Peyton, Carlton. If you google that you get an actual address in Plano, TX. Google maps shows it as a housing development, lots of houses all the same size all crammed up against each other. Too bad I live too far away to drive by at midnight and honk my car horn.
